Dr. Chang’s office is beautiful and sterile. The environment is calm and serene and his staff is efficient, professional, well-​qualified and friendly. Dr. Chang is savvy and an obvious virtuoso of dentistry. I definitely recommend his services to anyone seeking quality.

Dr. Chang and his staff are the best. Dr. Chang been my dentist for about 20 years now. His office is in the Castle Professional Building in Kaneohe. I used to live in Kaneohe during my childhood, but even when I moved to Ewa Beach, I still make the drive to see him. He is kind, professional, and works pretty quickly but always with excellent results. The office looks modern and clean. The chairs are comfortable and equipped with TVs so you can watch TV while he works or while having your teeth cleaned. I also really like his staff. TJ is the best at cleaning teeth and she’s super cool. Brenda, who manages the front office, is very personable and polite, always there to answer any questions. Even if I didn’t have dental insurance, I would still pay whatever the price is to have my teeth cleaned and examined at Dr. Chang’s office. I highly recommend anyone looking for a dentist to see Dr. Chang and his staff.

When I was a child, my dentist was my grandfather’s old WWII buddy. He was grumpy and so rough he made the sides of my mouth bleed. I bit him a few times and he would yell and make me cry. I hated the dentist.
After that dentist retired, I finally had the freedom to choose my own dentist. However, after childhood full of terror and torment, I still had a negative view of dentists. For the next five years, I went to 10 different dentists ranging from apathetic, weird, rough and critical.
I stopped going to the dentist all together and moved to Japan for work. After returning, I talked to a friend who mentioned he was going to the dentist. When he didn’t seem terrified or anxious, I asked him about his dentist. He assured me that Dr. Cary Chang, was a good, gentle dentist with a kind personality.
So I booked an appointment with Dr. Chang. As soon as I stepped into his office (located in Kaneohe’s Castle Professional Center), Brenda greeted me warmly. Her friendly, positive demeanor instantly made me feel comfortable and not as anxious as I would have usually been.
Dr. Chang turned out to be exactly like my friend described him. He explained everything going on in my mouth (I had six cavities!!) and gave me options. He didn’t scold me for having cavities. And though gave me pointers about how to have better oral hygiene (like flossing regularly), he wasn’t condescending and didn’t lecture me.
I’ve been going to Dr. Chang for about eight years now and no longer remember what it’s like to have anxiety about going to the dentist. The last time I went to get a filling replaced, Dr. Chang, told me step by step what he was doing and what to expect. His explanations calmed a worrier like me.
Dr. Chang is professional, kind and skilled dentist. His staff is courteous and knowledgeable. His office is clean, bright and the chairs are designed so you can watch TV while having your teeth worked on, which makes the time go by faster.
Whenever anyone says they hate going to the dentist, I tell them I used to be like them until I went to Dr. Cary Chang.
