The Hawaii Loa Campus is one of Hawaii Pacific University’s campus located in Kaneohe. The Hawaii Loa campus serves primarily for students majoring in the social science and health field. The Atherton library can be found here along with a computer lab and book store. Dorms here are usually for incoming first-​year students. Parking is available on this campus unlike the downtown campus however it is quite expensive. You can choose to pay per day or purchase a semester parking pass. They also have a parking punch card available now for entry. The view here is remarkably breath taking.

From the viewpoint of a super senior, former HPU tour guide and nursing student, it really depends on what you plan to do on campus.
1) It’s a beautiful green campus.
2) It’s also a super old campus.
3) I haven’t heard many good things about living here. Dorms are out-​of-​date, very very small community, your only transportation is the school shuttle, student on campus car rental service or city bus unless you get a moped or something…
4) Parking is flat rate, omg $ 6. There’s parking passes and cards for $ 240/​sem and $ 40⁄10 entries. If you choose to park in the «freeeee» lot across the POW flag, I’ve heard of classmate’s cars getting broken into… so be careful!
5) There’s a tiny gym, a pretty decent cafeteria, a small theatre room, a bunch of classrooms, faculty offices, student lounge, tennis and basketball courts, bookstore…
Softball and soccer fields are huge and very well kept. Facilities are clean, well maintained and freezing. Turn down the darn AC.
6) Nursing and SIM labs are great! Love those talking mannequin dudes.
The classes are mainly science and nursing classes. There are also some math and english classes along with — weight training, yoga, martial arts, theatre classes held here.
Bottom line: parking is expensive, the campus is small/​isolated but has beautiful view and some high points. This review is only for the campus itself. Don’t get me started about HPU lololol *barf

Awesome nursing program… but it’s too bad that I feel insufficient support for Adjunct faculty.

A little out of the way (kind of odd) but great views and friendly staff. However I hate paying for parking. There’s nothing else around ad there always tons of spots open. Oh well, private school’s gotta do what they gotta do I guess.

Such an odd place for a college university to be in. In the middle of nowhere on the Windward side of the island one has to think how non-​local students get here because of its isolation. You’ll have to assume that the buses or those who drive get there. I did see that they do have dorms here so perhaps those non-​local just stick to the campus… but I remember when I was in college I wanted to be nearby civilization! Oh well… to each their own as it does have a beautiful backdrop of the Ko’olau Mountains and surrounded by nature. I suppose that makes sense as the Hawai’i Loa campus is the home of the School of Nursing and the College of Natural Sciences.
