Lohr Nick Construction

Now here is a guy who is a diamond in the rough… There are so many guys in the construction industry who are not the best. I am sure you have all heard the nightmare stories of the home construction projects… Nick has done work for me several times and it has always been top notch and the friends I have referred to him have all thanked me for the introductions. Is Nick the cheapest? No he is not, however, you get what you pay for. If you buy a cheap car, you get a car which is cheaply built and poorly engineered. If you are looking for a general contractor who cares about integrity, respect, and experience CALL NICK!

Let me start by saying that Nick is one of the nicest guys. Very personable and friendly. Which is why this is a 3 star review and not lower
He re-​did our master bathroom 2 years ago. Our biggest disappointment was that it took almost 3 times as long for him to finish as he estimated. he estimated it would take 2 months, and it took almost 6 months. His subcontractors were not great and seemed to never show or show late. The painter he hired didn’t do a good job because 2 years later the paint is starting to peel is some spots and i’ve noticed some uneven areas.
Also, the pocket door that was supposed to be fixed never was… it comes off the tracks all the time and has big scratches in the wood from it
Also, the plumbers didn’t do a great job with the sink. there was a huge leak that i caught luckily-​otherwise the cabinets would’ve had water damage. it took them awhile to come back out and fix it
There was a leak when they were water testing the shower that went down into our kitchen and caused a water bubble. We popped the bubble and Nick came and fixed it but a year after, the crack came back so now we have a crack in the paint in our kitchen we’ll have to get fixed.
Basically we paid way too much money for our bathroom to have the problems we’ve had and for how long it took. He did a great job with the granite work in the shower and it looks beautiful so if you’re looking for that-​go for it! and who knows, maybe Nick wasn’t his usual self when he re-​did our bathroom but he started work in June and put the last piece of glass up in our shower in December or late Nov (can’t remember). that’s a long time for a bathroom.
Super nice guy… takes pride in his work… but we wouldn’t use him again, especially since we will have to hire a handyman to fix all the leftover problems soon as we get the place ready to rent out

Nick Lohr is a guy who can do it all, big or small! Ok it sounds silly, but it’s true. He has helped many of my friends with small projects like fixing a sink all the way to new constructions of buildings. If there is a challenge he will push through it, thank you nick!
