fast delivery! The chicken curry was great, and the shrimp spring rolls are really tasty. They have a pretty far delivery range too I was surprised they came to the hotel I was staying at

Got delivery the other night — Dragon & Pheonix, Shrimp Lo Mein, crab rangoon and sugar doughnuts. Delivery was quick, so that’s a plus. The highlight of the meal were the sugar doughnuts and the crab rangoon, which had plenty of creamy crab replacement for those who like that. Otherwise the meal was your typical American-chinese which the more I have the more I dislike… I do appreciate that the lo mein was not as greasy as it can be at other Chinese restaurants. Otherwise it was relatively bland. The Dragon and Pheonix is a dish that’s half chicken, half shrimp — the shrimp had a bit of a kick and was in an onion sauce which I liked. Again, your usual Americanized Chinese food, which I don’t like so I don’t plan on ordering again… if you’re into that you could check it out, it’s not the worst I’ve had in KC and one of the few places that delivers in this city.

The food is good. The delivery service is nice. The price is a little too much for two dinners and a tip, can be close to $ 30.00.

We decided to give this place a try after receiving their menu in the mail yesterday, even after reading some not so nice reviews about it. I have to say it wasn’t bad at all! Delivery time was about 40 min, which is one reason they aren’t getting a 5, because we live about 4 minutes away from the place. I got the combo fried rice and it was pretty delicious, lots of shrimp, chicken and beef. My fiancé got pineapple chicken, it was okay, definitely needed more chicken! We upgraded his rice to fried rice and it was burnt and not very good at all(which was surprising to me because mine was good!) We also got crab ragoons for an appetizer and I asked for some sweet n sour sauce(since the reviews warned me they didn’t send any) and received this tiny little cup for all of them, but atleast they didn’t forget it, right? Overall not bad, might try a couple of other dishes next time and see what they’re like

It isn’t the most amazing Chinese food but it’s great for the price. Really cheap and most of the time depending on how much food we order, usually 3 entrees, they throw in the cinnamon sugar donut holes for free. Delivery doesn’t take too long and even their lunch portions are a decent size. Pretty great for hangover food or for a day when you don’t want to get off the couch.

For delicious, dirty, good and cheap Chinese food that is especially divine when drunk or hungover, this is the place to order from! The food here is so awesome, and delivery is fast! Aloha Chopstix is one of the main things I miss about living in KCMO!

Ugh. My experience with Aloha Chopstix was, quite frankly THE worst Chinese food that I’ve ever eaten. It was a cold winter night when takeout was the obvious call. While it’s always possible that it could’ve been an off night, let’s just say everything was off on this night. The crew seemed upset that I didn’t know what I wanted right away as I perused the menu, so I felt rushed to pick pretty quickly. Most of the menu items looked the same so I went with some kind of chicken. Barely edible. I ended up pitching most of it and snacking on the crab rangoon appetizers which were… food. Flash forward to the middle of the night and I woke up in a cold sweat, got sick and remained nauseous for a solid 24 hours. I don’t know what exactly I ate on this night, but I am damned sure that I’d never even glance at Aloha Chopstix when I drive by it!

Worker was peeling shrimp on table used for customers in main dining area. Saw at least 6 cockroaches while I was there. Told staff when leaving, they didn’t seem to care. Never going back!

I really wasn’t sure how to rate this business. I will start by saying that I have only ever ordered their delivery so that could be a factor in my review. I like the convince and pricing of their delivery but you pay for what you get. I have ordered from them several times now and its usually when I am low on cash and I need a few meals out of one order. This is not a place I crave. The meat is okay and definitely varies from order to order. The last time I ordered it was very fatty meat and semi chewy. I will say I have had much better orders from them so its possible that it was just a fluke. I usually order their crab rangoon and spring rolls as well(its a 10 dollar minimum for delivery) and I will say that their crab rangoon is amazing. It is the one consistent thing I absolutely love of theirs. If you are hungry, on a budget, and need a couple of meals for cheap. This is your place, just know that you get what you pay for! All in all, I will probably order from here again next time I am getting low on cash.

Don’t bother. Ordered some pretty standard stuff, General Tso’s chicken, shrimp lo mein, egg drop soup. The only thing they did halfway ok was the Crab Rangoon. I say halfway because they were severely overcooked and the points were inedible. Even the egg drop soup was bad, flavorless, which is hard to do, tasted like it hasn’t cooked much at all. The chicken was so overdone it almost broke my teeth. Please, don’t support them, we need decent Chinese delivery in the KU Med area, not this.

I ordered the chicken fried rice. The chicken was dry and the pieces were huge! It made it very hard to eat. You should not have to cut up the chicken in fried rice. Also, the rice was clumped together and did not have enough soy sauce on it. My boyfriend ordered the Mongolian beef and he said it was terrible as well. The crab Rangoon was dry. The only thing that was good were the egg rolls. When we walked in the whole place smelled like incense as well which I thought was odd. Needless to say, I’m sad there food is not good since they are so close to my house. I will be looking for a new Chinese restaurant.

This was the biggest waste of money. I’ve had some bad chinese before but this was the worst. I ordered orange chicken and it was disgusting. It Had a chemical taste to it. And it was also all breadinf, no chicken. If there was chicken it was fatty pieces. The dumpling sauce was watered down, and the crab Rangoon had the same chemical taste but worse. I would never order from here again. They definitely need to fix their quality. Really disappointed. Biggest waste of 20 dollars I’ve ever spent.

I have always loved getting Delivery for some of the best inexpensive Chinese food. They say 30 to 45 minutes and most of the time they show up within 20 to 25 minutes almost any time of the day or night. I always get the Large Combination Lo’Mein and an order of Crab Ragoon, and there is always lots of crab meat in each of the Six crab Ragoons. My order is always $ 13.25 before the Tip and I usually give the Driver a $ 3 to $ 5 Tip everytime.

Their food is average… nothing special. If you have a problem with your order, don’t bother calling and asking them to remedy it. You will get nothing but a nasty attitude and be hung up on. Better yet, don’t bother ordering to begin with. Their customer service is pathetic and there are plenty of other restaurants around that actually care about their customers.

This was not terrible. I drive past this place twice a day and it looks rather sketchy. After reading the reviews on Unilocal,I decided I’d likely never try it — even in times of desperation. I was wrong. I have a friend from Australia staying with me who doesn’t drive and needed something to eat while I was at work. I offered to order delivery from someplace nearby. Aloha Chopstix was the only place we could find. She requested egg drop soup, shrimp toast, and shrimp in lobster sauce. The online ordering process was easy, but had a minimum $ 14+ order requirement. We decided to add to the order and ended up ordering: Shrimp Toast Egg Drop Soup Lunch order of Shrimp in Lobster sauce(steamed rice, crab rangoon, and egg drop soup) Entrée of Chicken in Garlic Sauce(listed in the menu as hot and spicy) The results according to the Aussie: Shrimp Toast: burned; not great Egg Drop Soup: Delicious; ate both cups of soup for lunch Crab Rangoon: Delicious Shrimp in Lobster Sauce: pretty good; a little bland Chicken in Garlic: not very garlic-y. I tried the two entrees and agreed that the Garlic Chicken didn’t taste of garlic. There were crushed red pepper flakes in the sticky, sweet sauce. It was sweet/spicy, but not garlic-y. It contained veggies: broccoli, water chestnuts, mushrooms, carrots, bamboo shoots, peppers, and onions. The shrimp in lobster sauce was tasty. The shrimp looked good. The sauce also had peas and maybe diced carrots. It was a little bland, but would be a good option if you’re under the weather or don’t like heat in your chinese food. I was wary of ordering seafood from this place, but it was actually good. I might actually order from here again just to see if other dishes pass muster. I had looooooooow expectations and they were exceeded. Also, Delivery was faster than the website’s suggested 30 – 45 mins. Lunches run $ 5.00 or less. Can’t beat that. Ordering online will add a $ 2 delivery charge and a $ 1.25 website charge in addition to tip, but ordering takeout is a bargain from this place. Don’t be scared. It’s worth a shot if you’re desperate or if you just need a cheap lunch.

Good cheap Chinese delivery. This is my go to place for cheap easy Chinese food. Exactly what I expect from Chinese delivery. Portions are large and they don’t skimp on veggies either.

Aloha Chopstix serves inexpensive and fairly delicious Americanized Chinese food. Their helpings are decently sized and shouldn’t have any problem filling you up. They offer a lunch buffet during the week if you’re into that sort of thing. Me? I’d recommend delivery(up to 3 miles in radius) or take out.

I couldn’t really form a yay or nay opinion of this place so I think«meh» sums it up. It is dirty and the interactions have that classic awkwardness that you always get at a Chinese place. I got the combo fried rice with chicken steak and shrimp. The chicken and steak had a weird texture and the steak didn’t look very good, inconsistent color. So I opted not to eat the meat after trying a few pieces. It was almost squishy, not chewy but not really«tender» as meat is described. It was just kinda there I guess. The egg rolls were decent, nothing I will think about in my sleep or dreams. the price was 10 bucks for a large portion of fried rice, 3 egg rolls and a coke. Not bad on the price. The interior was kinda dirty, maybe not dirty but just not well put together, not really something that was appealing. I probably wont be back for a while since I think my chances of finding something better are pretty good.

This should probably be one star, but it wasn’t as bad as I’d anticipated, so I give it a bonus star. Should you ever go there? No, probably not. How many millions of times have I driven by this place? Probably about 12.4 million times. How many times have I thought of stopping here? Not quite as many times, but a lot. A friend that lives nearby has always said«No. Don’t do it.» I guess, I took that as a dare, because I am the queen of Crab Rangoon and I have to try it from every place at least once. Tonight was the night. I wasn’t terribly hungry and ended up over on State Line and 43rd trying to get myself in the mood to get something for dinner. I decided, since I wasn’t that hungry, that it would be a good opportunity to end up with something less-than-awesome just for the heck of it. Well, I pulled in and realized once I got up close how run down this place really looks. I spun around three times for good luck and headed in. I was ‘greeted’ by a gentleman as soon as I opened the door. He said«What do you want?» Well, this took me by surprise. «Excuse me?» «What do you want?» «To eat?» «Yeah.» I explained to him that I would be doing a take out order, but this was my first visit so I’d need to look at the menu. He had his elbows on the menu at the counter, apparently it was up to me to read through his elbows or order things that were not under his elbows as he stared down at me breathing his hot nose air onto the top of my head. Well, those of you who know me, know I order crab rangoon and cashew chicken almost anytime I’m trying a place for the first time, so that’s what I did. All this time, his mom or someone was sitting right there on a cell phone screaming her face off into the phone. He puts in my order and starts taking phone orders. I’m not sure how secure their credit card system is since he writes the card number, expiration date and security code onto duplicate tickets which then pass through the hands of everyone involved with the order. I’m not saying they are dishonest, but that information could easily be accessed by pretty much anyone without much effort. Most of the time I see places take a credit card over the phone, they are punching it right into the credit card machine as you read it. Once he took a couple of orders and everyone else stood around and watched him do this(and my food sat there), he finally had a chance to get it into a bag for me. I headed home to see how this story was going to end up. The drive home was scary. Usually Chinese food smells yummy. This smelled like scorched garlic. I really didn’t know how this was going to turn out. I got home, said my prayers TWICE tonight and dug in. The crab rangoon were very overcooked. The oil was obviously too hot or overused. There is no CRAB… it’s just cream cheese, which makes it too sweet. You need some green onion or something to make it savory. Boo. You only get 4 pieces in an order, but the price is okay. Well, they weren’t great, but nothing seemed life threatening, so I moved on to the entrée. Steamed rice is not my favorite, so not even going to bother with that. It looked like it was cooked okay, but seemed just a bit dry. The cashew chicken tasted okay considering the smell. The ratio of chicken to vegetables was okay and the sauce ratio seemed good too. I’m not a fan of cooked carrots, so was happy that the carrots were not overly filling the mixture. Ok, so now it’s been a few hours and I’m stlll alive. YAY. I won’t go likely go back, but I feel like this was an adventure that had to be taken sometime, so now I can check that off my list.
