Braco Stone

Honestly if I could give 0 I most definitely would. 1 star for the new receptionist who seemed beyond embarrassed at the level of service given. This company has the worst service that I have ever, ever experienced. I am very glad that the positive reviewers had great experience. After all counter tops are not cheap and especially granite or stone no less. That is why I felt it imperative to write this review. 3 weeks ago I contacted Braco Stone regarding my granite countertops being sealed and polished in my kitchen. I wanted to also get bids on granite for my master bathroom and wanted to speak to the installer when they came out about their recommendations.
I originally spoke with the receptionist that took the call and she routed me to a manager to receive more information and get things scheduled. She informed me that she was new and could not answer all of my questions which I totally understood. She was very pleasant. The manager (lady) was pleasant as well. She told me that they were extremely busy but would schedule my appointment in 2 weeks (week of the 15^th of Sept in the AM) She stated that she would send me an email to confirm the exact day and time of that week. I waited and waited and received no call or email. I contact Braco Stone Wed-​Friday of the week prior to and no one returned my calls. I called the following Monday and Tuesday and finally called back Friday to find out what was going on and why I hadn’t heard from anyone. The funny thing is that the receptionist remembered me but apparently no one else at the company did. She apologized and stated that she would find someone for me to speak with. I held on the line for 30 min. She kept checking in with me to let me know that she was just waiting for someone to respond to her which I appreciated. Finally the owner gets on the line and boy was he rude not to mention unprofessional. First of all he didn’t even give me his name. Just said «I’m one of the owners what did you need.?» As I began to explain the situation he interrupted «sealed and polished»??? We are very busy with higher paying jobs and you are not a priority to our installers. It’s no wonder they didn’t get you on the schedule!!!
I was like well then I guess you guys are to busy to provide me a service which is fine I just wish that your staff would have simply stated that in the first place. He was like yeah ok and hung up. I KID YOU NOT!!! I mean I am sooo confused as to how the owner of a company would say these things even if it were true about them not making as much on a granite seal and polish, plus as I mentioned I wanted Braco to give me quotes on my bathroom countertops which would be «the big job» they apparently only care about. So what I don’t get is:
1) Why they even offer a clean and polish service
2) Why they did not just say we are in our busy season and can not provide the service
3) If the owner is that rude what is the expectation of their staff? You must lead by example and that is a terrible, terrible example.
I guess there is no accounting for taste and that was in extremely poor taste. I am so glad that I did not waste my money on a company that has those types of values.

We are currently building our first home with Hearthside Homes. We made our granite selections through Braco stone but we wanted to make a special trip to hand pick our slabs since we were going with a lighter granite. Scott is the one who took the time to bring us to two different granite sites as well as one other site to select our sinks. Scott knew exactly what we wanted and even came up with other options that we liked even more than our original selection. My husband and I can honestly say he has been our absolute favorite vendor thus far. I will come back and post another review after the counters have been installed but I have complete confidence we will have nothing but nice things to say. Scott has honestly been great and we will refer him to any of our friends and family who are building or remodeling and require granite. This was the definition of going above and beyond.

I wish I could give it a lower rating.
They came out twice to measure for our new countertops. Apparently they screwed it up both times and want us to pay for their mistakes.
One of the owners called me screaming into the phone and before slamming the phone down told me we would never get our countertops. All this in response to an informed consumer who knows the law and can quote it.
I doubt he would be this brave in person.
UPDATE — Now they say they will only do the work if we pay 100% upfront. A reputable contractor would never require this. In fact, this is in conflict with their own contract language.
