Established in 2013.

Originally established in 2010 in Prairie Village, KS, BRGR Kitchen + Bar brings you a fresh adaptation of the most classic restaurant concept around. The hamburger was born and bred in America as a convenient way to eat on the go, but it’s grown up a bit, and has become our country’s favorite food. Imagine those original burgers from classic burger joints, recreated using 21st century methods, and you have BRGR’s modern burger. BRGR (the owners’ initials) is bringing «the modern burger joint» into the neighborhood. Considering the current economy and the popularity of the burger, the owners, Gaylin and Roberts, decided to bring you a value-​oriented culinary experience for the grown-​up burger lover. At BRGR Kitchen + Bar expect to get great food made with fresh ingredients, focused service, and a little reverence for the classic American burger.

Meet the Business Owner

Alan G.

Business Owner

Alan Gaylin was born in Houston and has been in the restaurant business long enough to know what he likes and what he doesn’t. It is with this knowledge that he partnered with long-​time friends Glynn & Jean Roberts to bring about what is now BRGR Kitchen + Bar. They share a vision that speaks to the needs of 21st Century consumers by providing great value and quality; BRGR was conceived to be a modern burger joint with a hip bar that caters to the neighborhood crowd. Gaylin’s experience with restaurants has been extensive ever since, and has held various positions including Owner/​Operator, Director of Operations, Managing Partner, COO and Vice-​President of Operations, and Owner in various restaurant companies. He served as a Senior VP of Operations at Kansas City-​based Houlihan’s where he was part of the rebranding of the company. Gaylin brings all of his experience to BRGR Kitchen + Bar with the intention of establishing a restaurant brand that can grow throughout the Midwest.
