My brother told me to go here for the Pork Tenderloin sandwich. Knowing my brother I was skeptical but, I tried it and it has been a really long time since I had one that good. I couldn’t eat it all for lunch so I took the rest home for dinner. Had my husband meet me there for lunch one day and he was impressed also. Good old fashioned comfort food. I will be back. Love the place.

Is it 7 a.m. Do you need a beer? Do you want to drink the beer in a bar? Well, then perhaps you should head over to Chip Shot Bar & Grill! This unassuming dive bar in North Kansas City happily will welcome your desire to not only do a day drunk, but an early morning day drunk. Truly, the place actually does this to cater to folks working the graveyard shift. But, it’s still an option if you happen to be awake. It can get a little loud at this place. It also doesn’t have the best speaker system. But it also is a dive bar. The place also serves food(note: I don’t think it is available in the morning, but I could be wrong). I have had a burger at Chip Shot. Not too shabby. As previously mentioned, the place has typical bar food. So, don’t expect to get hummus or a mixed green salad. But the crinkle fries are tasty! So, head over to Chip Shot to drink … pretty much any time of the day!

Chip Shot is one of the best bars on NKC’s Swift Avenue dive bar row. It has an «authentic» feel to it that I can’t quite explain… its personality doesn’t feel forced. The bartenders are friendly, the regulars are nice, and the décor is rustic and relaxing. There are two rooms. The front room contains the bar, a few small tables, and a couple of games. The back room as several more tables and the pool tables. The food here is typical bar food — except it’s good. Quite good for the price. The nachos are popular, I’m a fan of the burgers myself. I believe the kitchen closes at 10pm. Takeout is available.
