Gary’s On the Go BBQ is a mobile food truck serving Simply Good Food to the entire KC metro area since September, 2010. We serve lunch Monday thru Friday in different locations thru out the city, we can also be found at different events held thru out the area. Are you planning a business luncheon or dinner, wedding, birthday party, graduation, family reunion, or just about any occasion? Give us a call we have several different catering options available to meet your needs. Our menu includes our famous Pulled Pork, KC Philly, Pork Tenderloin, Angus Burgers, French Fries, Sweet Potato Fries and more.
History
Established in 2006.
19 years ago my wife and I started cooking bbq for our family and friends. They all agreed we needed to open a restaurant. In June 2006 we started catering, and did our first event, a wedding, since then we have catered all kinds of events from small 25 person buisness meetings to 1200 person holiday gatherings.
September 15, 2010 we launched our food truck buisness full time. Having a mobile food truck has given us the oppertunity to take our Simply Good Food to the streets, and participate in several big time events thru out the metro area. Some events we have done, The Westport Food Truck Festival, Kanrocksas, and The Truck Stop just to name a few.
Owning and opperating Gary’s On the Go BBQ has been a long time goal of ours and we are loving having the opportunity to serve all of the KC metro area in my opinion some of the best tasting bbq, burgers and phillies around.

February 12, 1994 my wife Diane and I were married. Later that same year we started cooking bbq for family and friends for our annual 4th of July parties. Over the next few years we got pretty good cooking Q. In 2005 we entered our first bbq contest and took first place in chicken and second place in ribs. In 2008 we competed in the American Royal and our beans finished 63rd out of 400 entries. We think we have a great tasting product but are alway trying to find ways to make other great tasting dishes.
