Jamie Miller Hair Parlour

I love every experience I have with Jamie at the Hair Parlour. She has such a calm, gentle and fun demeanor. I feel so comfortable with her that I ask her to cut my hair the way she thinks it will look best and will suit my personality. I am always so pleased with the outcome and look forward to my visits with her!

I have had the BEST experience with Jamie Miller Hair Parlour. Let me start by saying, I have not actually been to this salon. I live in Michigan and was searching for a place that carries Paul and Joe Makeup. Jamie Miller Hair Parlour was listed on Paul and Joe’s website. I called them up and asked if they shipped. They did! They had the makeup that I wanted in stock (it was sold out practically everywhere). They shipped my order right over to me! It arrived faster than anticipated, and it was packed with goodies and samples! The staff at this salon was professional and courteous over the phone and this was a wonderful experience. If I am in Kansas City I will definitely check it out in person and give them ALL of my business!

Men, seek out Angi. She is an artist. I’ve been going to her for about a year now, and she never fails to deliver. I was never one to really concern myself with the style of my hair. I had been going to old fashioned barbers for most of my life. Due to my barber retiring, I had to seek out someone new (something we all hate). Luckily I found Angi.
I don’t have the greatest face or even the best head of hair so what she had to work with was limited. But I’ve received nothing but complements on my hair, from people I’ve known from years, and from complete strangers. I’ve even been approached by women, based solely on my hair (as I was later told, ha!).
Last month, I was preparing to leave for vacation, and I gave Angi free reign to do whatever she wanted to prepare me for a hot vacation climate. Again, nothing but complements on my hair.

From a guy perspective, dating from before Jamie opened her own shop, Jamie Miller’s work and shop is the best in town. Not to be confused with suburban or self-​promoting wanna-be’s. The combination of authentic style and skill (with advanced NYC training) is in a class all it’s own! The shop rates six stars out of five!

Phenomenal. I have been a fan of Jamie’s work for years but because one of my best friends is also in the business, I had never been able to experience Jamie’s work first-​hand until this past weekend at my best friend’s wedding.
Jamie took the ideas that I had and did exactly what I had in mind, and then some. I loved it. One of the worst parts of being in a wedding is dealing with the stylists who just want to do the wedding day up-​do but there was none of that nonsense here. She didn’t hurry me through to get on to the next bridesmaid or make me feel like I should change my chosen hairstyle. She was patient, efficient, and kind. It felt like no time had passed from when I sat down to when I was all pinned up and ready to get on to the make-​up chair. Bravo.
The Hair Parlour is the definition of cool, trendy, and relaxed. The chairs were comfortable, there were drinks available while I waited, and the displays of product and local artist Kira Terrey’s Jewelry tempted me beyond my budget’s constraints but I will be back to revisit what I saw there when the bank account says it’s ok.
Going to the new and improved Bauer building is always a treat but now there is one more stop to add to my list of studios to visit. I look forward to my next visit there and encourage you to try it too!

I’ve been to at least 10 different salons in the KC area and Jamie is without a doubt the best haircut I’ve had. If you show her a picture (or don’t), she knows exactly what to do. I’m very excited to see what her new business has in store!

Oh my gosh. Seriously for YEARS I have taken photos to my hair dressers of how I want my hair to look like. This is probably the first time that someone has given me the haircut I wanted. JAMIE IS SUCH AN ARTIST. I can’t say enough great things, except seriously – if you want to look hot, go to her. And her new studio is just SO CUTE. Big city/​artsy feel. Relaxing. In love with it all!

Jamie is a very talented stylist! This salon is located in the heart of the Crossroads district, in the Bauer Machine Works building. They are currently renovating the building, adding many spaces for local artist. The space Jamie is located in has an amazing view of the Crossroads district. Jamie has a lot of experience and never disappoints. She is very active in the community and well aware of new products and techniques. Jamie is very sweet and personable. This is a great place to come, have a glass of wine, and make a new best friend! Jamie has been doing my hair for almost 9 years.
