I go to this store occasionally because it’s close to my house, but Home Depot is not that far away and I will probably start going there instead. On my last visit to this Lowe’s store I went to buy two bags of mulch. There were two checkout lines in the garden area. After waiting a couple of minutes in one of the lines, the lady checking out customers in my line announced to me that I could go to the other line, because«I was supposed to leave now» as she started helping the man in front of me. Others that were coming up to wait behind me, of course headed to the other line. When I looked over at the other line, there were now about 8 or 9 people in that line. I pushed my cart to the side and walked out. If an employee is more concerned about going home or taking a break or whatever, I can shop somewhere else that shows a little more respect for customers.

How can one describe their home improvement place other than Necessary. They have helpful staff, they have the products I need, and they are close if I start a project and need something I don’t have? Well Lowe’s fits this description. They have not failed me yet when I needed something. This store is always clean, well stocked, and the staff if knowledgable when I can’t find something I need. I will continue to return as I need their help or products for home improvement.

The store’s web site showed four SKIL laser levels available at this store, but the shelf was empty when I went to pick it up minutes later. The inventory shown for the Olathe store exactly matched the inventory shown on the site. I no longer have confidence in the inventory levels shown for this store.

Super close to my house, so I’ve been a lot lately. People that work here are friendly and helpful(even though I did overhear some bashing a customer that gave them a bad review). The products could use some help though. This Lowe’s doesn’t seem like it has the selection of other stores. It’s been a little frustrating going in and not finding what you are looking for

Horrible customer service at 8:10a on a weekday. After asking three«didn’t want to be botheted» associates and being completely ignored by one regarding purchasing vertical blinds, I left the store while writing this review. Breakdown: 1st «Somewhere on aisle 4″ 2nd Never acknowledged after saying „Excuse me“ THREETIMES! 3rd „I don’t know I guess Levlor would carry up THAT aisle 4th I don’t know much about them, but this is all I know about“ What hapoen to „Good Morning, how can I help you?“, I’m not sure, but let me check?», «Here, let me show you»… Very disappointed and will not return. The first time I came here I was WOWed because everyone was so helpful. Well I should have waited until all transactions were done. We were ready and willing to buy 3 major appliances without going into detail we ended up saying forget it and walked away.

This location is an interesting example of extremes in customer service. I have never had a complaint about Lowes product line, locations, or facility accommodations. The staff here is at one end of the service spectrum or the other. Most are very well informed, friendly and competent. A large number are also unmotivated, distracted, and indifferent. I offer this opinion: This location is in need of much stronger leadership. The store director seems detached from most of the staff and customers. It makes itself manifest by the poorly trained cashiers. There is no direction to accommodate the customers that have waited the longest when a new register opens, for example. I and my company use this location quite a bit because our properties are close by. To be honest, I wish it were a Home Depot(more consistent service, better prices). Kudos to the majority of the staff! Try working at McDonalds or Kinkos to many of the rest of the staff, and management…
