Seal-Rite Windows & More

In our contract to purchase our house, the sellers had to replace a few of the windows. They had roughly 2 months to do so. They contracted Seal-​Rite Windows to do the work, which turned out to be a huge mistake. Seal-​Rite windows waited until the last week to begin work since they wouldn’t be paid until the closing on our house. Their first mistake and delay was measuring the windows wrong thus ordering and bringing in the wrong windows. Then on the day of signing for our house they ended up dropping and shattering the new, correct windows and caused delay number 2. This left glass all over our driveway that they only half-​assed cleaned up. This also meant we could not sign for our house since this work was not completed.
They finally got everything installed and said they would help us out with some additional windows we needed replaced in the future to make up for this. So we thought we would give them another chance and called them to come measure some more windows for us. When one of the guys showed up to measure it was a Friday evening. I answered the door and he just stood there without introducing himself and acted like he had no idea what he was here for. He was on the phone with someone most of the time saying he was on his way to meet up and hang out, thus he was very rushed at my house doing the measuring and was very unprofessional. He sloppily measured the windows, giving me little faith in the measurements. It took at least a week to get an estimate for the new windows, which had no discount like we thought we would be getting from their previous mistakes. I emailed all of my concerns to seal-​rite and explained what happened and how I expected better service and they did not reply to that email and never heard from them again.

I contracted with Josh Stone to do several projects; complete roof replacement, some window replacement and rebuilt then woodrot repair. I started negotiating with him in August, he really wanted me to let him start the work late Fall into Winter. There were so many promises and assurances that the job started soon. I have all the emails, texts and phone mail from Josh stating they will be there tomorrow, be there on Saturday, be there on Monday to only be NO SHOWS WAY TO MANY TIMES! If I could deduct money from the job from all the work hours I missed waiting on them to show-​up, Josh and Seal Rite would owe me money! Josh is not an organized businessman! I would not trust him again, he mismanages money. I had given him 50% down, which was close to $ 8500. When it came time to order supplies, he had the vendor send me the bill. When I contacted Josh about where my deposit went, he said, «He probably mispent that money!» I could have recommended him to my neighbor and even used Josh to do more work on my own home when I replace all my exterior doors, but it took me three months to get him to fix 3 warranty issues. I had had enough!!! Do not contract with Josh Stone! Worst experience ever and there are others who have paid and he never delivered! Read more reviews on other sites!
