Very very busy Starbucks but for once thy have hired enough people. There are prob 8 baristas at a time working at this place and they do a nice job. It was cool to be able to try Google Fiber and they also have laptops there that you can borrow to surf the web while you’re drinking coffee. Seems like a lot of students study at this location as it was busy until late but it’s a really nice location.

Fastest Starbucks I know of. We would order our coffee in the drive through and it’s ready when we arrive at the window. This is during the morning rush too. Fast. They also have free wifi via Google fiber.

it’s changed a little bit they don’t call you by your name anymore, even with your rewards that gives your name. Not sure if they were just too busy or what. The handicapped area had ice on it which I feel isn’t safe if you’re someone who is handicap have handicap people in my family.(Just something I do pay attention to) Other than that my coffee taste just like it does always. I will still go back. It close to my job.

Now I have been to my fair share of Starbucks around metropolitan Kansas City(south of the River, to be specific), and having said that, I would say that this particular ‘bucks is hands down, my Starbucks locale of choice whether it be for studying, meeting with a friend, or getting work done. Because it is quite a roomy shop(perhaps the largest, capacity-wise, I have ever been to), it does get noisy – but who doesn’t go anywhere without their earbuds nowadays? The noise level is not too bad during the daytime. Really, it’s just during the evening when the hoards of students come in, when the decibel level rises, albeit still tolerable. At least, for the most part, they’re all studying. I have found the Starbucks on the Plaza to be obnoxiously loud at times. I LOVE the ample seating. Even with a completely filled parking lot(had to park in the Office Depot lot one time), I was still able to settle down in a lounge chair that had an outlet right next to it. They have plenty of tables, comfy armchairs with ottomans, «half-booth-like» bench seating, cocktail tables, patio seating, and NOW, two Chromebook stations! I had to do a double-take to ensure I wasn’t hallucinating. I haven’t had the opportunity to use the Chromebooks firsthand yet, but what a great perk! Instead of hauling around my computer equipment, next time, I can just use one of their Chromebooks and still get some work in and use Google Drive to save any documents or spreadsheets. Ingenius! This Starbucks remains one of the strikingly few coffee shops in Kansas City that remains open late, another plus. The place closes at midnight, and so for any late owls, like myself, it provides one of the best places for when I want to get out of house and get any work done. I mean, let’s be real, it’s Starbucks – not coffee.

This place is a fantastic place to come 19 hours out of the day to get BLAZINGFASTWIFI. They have Google Fiber, and it’s amazing. It’s got tons of seating, so your bound to find a place to setup camp and study or hangout with friends.

Sometimes I have good experiences and other times they’re horrible! It’s a wash! Do NOT do mobile orders here they take forever! Aka over the 3 – 7 minutes they say by a lot! I get that morning is the busiest but what’s the advantage if it takes longer than if I waited in line in the store or went through the drive thru? You will have the fastest service in the drive thru. To top that my drink tastes pretty disgusting! Again depending on the barista maybe you’ll have better luck!

The staff is nice, okay coffee but the restroom was not clean and it is always packed, and no parking. But the BBQ Beef was good.

I absolutely love this Starbucks. Great service. It just doesn’t have enough drive thru room

This Starbucks is definitely my favorite. They have laptops but is only good for using the internet(Chrome). I used this place to meet with my classmates and I have to tell you, this is my new study place. Although, if you are cramming for a test, I highly suggest not using this place because it is very distracting. They have a drive-thru and of course that’s busy and the store itself is crowded with customers who are coffee-addicts, so it’s LOUD. We sat next to a huge monitor, I haven’t had a chance to figure what it does. That will be at my next trip when I am not trying to write a group paper that’s due in 2 business days. I usually get the White Chocolate Mocha(with soy) and/or plain black coffee and was hoping they served Pumpkin Latte since I heard they were going to use real pumpkin purée(super awesome) but they didn’t have it yet. I guess more visits until then.

I’ve never been to this Starbucks when there isn’t a line around the corner — it could be 11:15 a.m. on a Tuesday and it always seems jam-packed. Since I’m a straight up black coffee drinker, sometimes I get impatient having to wait for all the fancy drinks in front of me. I wish there was just a coffee-only to go line, but if wishes were fishes. While this is a good enough Starbucks, I can’t say I love the energy in here. Maybe it’s the drive-thru effect, or the fact that it’s on a particularly nasty, busy stretch of Main St. The one on the Plaza is tougher to access but has a better vibe, patio, etc. if you’re drinking your coffee there. But, in a pinch, this Starbucks does the job and the staff is friendly!

Baristas and cashiers can be rude, obnoxiously loud, and don’t really pay attention to customers. The wait for your food or beverage can be long because the cashier is busy chatting with friends(who hang out around the order line) or talking with other baristas in the back. The bathrooms are filthy because this seems to be the official shower for everyone living on the streets of Midtown Kansas City, Missouri. If you can ignore all that – then this definitely is the place to get a good cup of(standard) Starbucks food fare n’ fun in Kansas City!

If you wanna study or work on your laptop in KC area, this starbucks is wonderful. Space and seats inside are great. 5⁄5 Internet is fast(google Starbucks). 5⁄5 Ambience is nice and quiet. 5⁄5 UMKC students are the majorities here! Go UMKC! Go Royals! Go Chiefs! I managed to finish lots of work and prepare for exams in this nice place, once upon a time. Occasionally there are many homeless people at night.

The drinks here are par for the course. Better than other Starbucks places, there are ample places to sit, drink, take meetings, and plug in to get work done. BUT the thing that is so exciting for me(as a visitor to Kansas City) is that there are two tables here set up with eight Google Chromebooks that customers can use for free to access… GOOGLEFIBER!!! My first experience using Google Fiber was here in this starbucks as a person just driving through on a cross-country drive. I’m so excited. The experience wasn’t life changing, but it was exciting all the same, to be able to say I know what Google Fiber is like. I am from San Jose and it’s a shame that the Silicon Valley still doesn’t have it. But I digress. This is a great Starbucks. With a drive-thru and private parking lot.

My first reaction was«wow! These guys are moving the line fast(inside and drive thru). 9 workers behind the counter. As I wait for my drink, someone’s drink went to the wrong person, because they don’t write names on cups. Then the next drink was made wrong. Then my drink was made wrong. I checked and my order was right but they didn’t read the cup! Day 2 different time of day, different barista and different drink. Same problem! They don’t read the cup right. Wrong drink again!

What the hell happened to this Starbucks? The staff and customer service used to be superior here, but within the last year or so things have declined greatly. The person greeting you in the drive thru usually sounds close to death and has no interest in having a personality. I’ve had someone at the window of the drive thru say she keeps her hand held out to make people feel uncomfortable until they tip! The uniforms of many of the employees look like they haven’t been laundered for weeks and are carrying about a quart of milk each. I only give it two stars instead of one because there are a couple of employees that still do a great job, other than that, this has turned into a stink hole of a Starbucks.

This was a nice surprise. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and coffee. The guy at the window wasn’t hard on the eyes either… heh, heh… I’ll be back again. Convenient and close to where I work.

Ok, so I usually don’t write reviews at all but it takes a lot to want to write a bad one. I have been to this location several times and every single time my experiences have been terrible. The only reason I have gone back is from sheer convenience. I will never go here again! The employees are always rude and seem to busy to greet you. The first bad experience I had there, I ordered an easy but modified drink. The barista said as loud as she could so I’d hear her, «OMG if it has more than two lines I just stop reading it.» And proceeded to repeat herself and call her co-workers over to look at my cup. I apologized and she said, «it’s fine» I just assumed she was having a bad day. I should never have to apologize for making her do her job. The drink wasn’t even right! The second time was this past Sunday. I ordered a Venti soy latte with cinnamon powder. After waiting in the drive through for 15 minutes, she handed me my latte and it was cold! They didn’t steam It at all. They just poured the soy in to the cup. No espresso either. So I took it Inside and showed them and they were all laughing about it, no one apologized. They barista that remade the drink had an awful attitude, remade the drink, then handed it to me and said, «there ya go.» Well, needless to say, she didn’t use soy milk and she just dumped the cinnamon on top. I took my coffee and walked out and am never going back. Worst service ever for a $ 6 cup of coffee.

This location has spotty service and my star rewards never have credited to my Starbucks card in 2 different trips. A Starbucks is a Starbucks except when the service is poor and then they make you want to just make it at home or go to 7 – 11.

I’ve come here twice now and both times the service has been terrible. The staff literally ignore you to carry on their conversations, stock, or answer the customers in the drive-through(except that there is already someone taking their orders at the window, is it necessary for the person who is supposed to be serving us inside to ignore us to do that too?!) Skip this one and go to the plaza. The staff and service here are rude at best and generally can’t do their jobs.
