Awesome waffles. Enjoy trying different flavors each week. Worth checking out for breakfast. Love that tips are donated back to local charity. Very local find!!!

Very unique thing for Kansas City! These waffles are traditional Belgian liege waffles, and«The Waffler,» Russell, does a great job. We had two waffles — the original, and the Orange Danish flavor. Both were great, and when Russell told us about some of his upcoming flavors, I was already planning my next trip! The truck and its owner seem charitable and very connected with the community. The tip jar always goes to a local charity. Check Twitter to find out where it is parked each weekend! We caught it in Waldo. This food truck is such a fun treat and a welcome addition to the area!

«Oh, now I’ve seen everything…» is what ran through my mind when I saw this truck parked in the entrance to City Market this morning. «How you gonna walk around with syrup running down your arm?» But the nice gentleman was passing out samples, and I couldn’t insult him by walking away. Enter The Waffler, purveyor of the portable waffle. Inside that crisp delicate crust is moist, tender cake and enough flavor to make syrup completely unnecessary. The Plain sample I tasted was delicious on its own, but I couldn’t resist a Maple Bacon of my very own. It’s a wonder I didn’t get run over crossing 3rd Street ‘cuz I know I wasn’t paying any attention to anything but that waffle! Perfect blend of sweet, smoke and salt. They also have a lemon flavor, which sounds strange to me, but given what they’ve done with the others, I’m sure it’s good. Looks like I’ll be stalking another food truck.

Excellent. Reminds me of my favorite European waffle experienced in Amsterdam. Worth a drive. Worth a bicycle ride. Worth a bus ride. Whatever it takes — go try this man’s waffle. You will not be disappointed.
