Kristin shot our family of 13 for a special event and did a wonderful job of being flexible and patient. She had some great photo ideas and can’t wait to see how they turned out!

Kristin took our family photos at Shipwreck Beach during our vacation in Kauai early December 2015. From the first time I contacted Kristin she was wonderful and reassured me that our photo shoot would go well and we would get great photos. I was not disappointed. Our photos are fabulous, and I would recommend her to anyone ! She was patient with our 2 year old Grandson and 4 month old Granddaughter and she was very creative as to ideas for perfect photos including a rainbow that suddenly appeared.
Thank you once again Kristin. We hope to visit Kauai again in 2017 and I will most certainly contact you for new photos.

Kristin did an excellent job shooting our wedding. She had great communication and we went over all the shots I wanted to get in advance. She had the shot list ready on the day of our wedding and made sure we shot everything we wanted. She’s super easy to work with and friendly. My photos came out looking so amazing. Her prices are also really reasonable. I highly recommend Swell!

Kristin was excellent to work with and did a fantastic job!!! I called to book an appointment after our arrival to Kauai and was fortunate enough that she had one opening that week. She took family portraits of us on the beach and was mindful of the fact that my husband and I were also celebrating our 15^th wedding anniversary. She including pictures of our wedding rings which had never been done.
Our daughter does not always enjoy having pictures done but she had fun on this day. Kristin saw that she had an enjoyable experience.
As for the pictures, we could not have asked for anything better. We plan to place a large picture over the fireplace for everyone to see. Thank you Kristin for all your hard work and dedication. Her editing skills are wonderful also.

I couldn’t be happier with the photos we had taken during our family trip to Kauai. Kristin was amazing, both in her communication booking the session as well as the day-​of. We even had to reschedule our original date last minute due to my daughter suffering mild heat stroke after our first full day on the island and Kristin was so understanding and accommodating! On the day-​of she was incredibly patient with my grumpy 3 year old and fussy 6 month old. You’d never know they were having a rough morning from the smiles she was able to capture! I feel the quality of the photography and edits were great and her mini packages that include the digital files is a fantastic value and exactly what we were looking for when trying to squeeze in a photo session during our vacation. I highly recommend Kristin!

Visited Kauai for the first time and wanted to take my engagement pictures during my vacation. I initially found Swell Photography on Pinterest and contacted about eight photographers. I choose swell amongst all the Kauai photographers because the price was very reasonable, included free download of the pictures and touch-​up. I truly felt comfortable when Kristen (Swell Photographer/​owner) called me after my initial inquiry email to answer any questions, locations and ideas, she exemplified the Aloha spirit.
When we arrived in Kauai, the weather was not in my favor on my booked session. No worries, Kristen accommodated my request to move the session. Additionally, my fiancée and I decided to bring our wedding gown and suit to Kauai, so we can take pre-​wedding pictures instead. If your getting married, take as many pictures in your wedding dress because the day of the wedding is not enough time.
So I choose to take my pictures 1 hour before sunset on the South side at Mahaulepu Beach. Kristen got pictures with the mountains behind us, sail boat, black rock, sand, oceans and etc. All the pictures turned out perfect without touch ups but I did get some touch ups with my hair and people in the background.
After sharing my pictures on FB, received positive comments and likes of the pictures. I highly recommend Swell Kauai photography for Kauai family portraits, Kauai engagement session and Kauai wedding photography.

Kristin is an amazing and very talented photographer! My husband and I took some honeymoon photos while visiting Kauai. Every single one turned out beautiful! We are so happy we decided to use Swell Photography to capture our honeymoon!
