Watever! Thrift Shop

It’s a thrift store not a fancy restaurant. What do you expect?
Next time if you want an authentic Hawaii shirt or sarong, go to tommy bahama before you visit Kauai. Leave the locals alone.

I was planning on going to this place today until I read the reviews. One Unilocaler mentioned the owner possibly a meth addict? Which can explain the mans behavior everyone is describing. I don’t live here but wondering why no one has reported this to authorities? Or at least to the better business b? I have kids had I not read these comments I would have taken them with me only for my child to see me get yelled at by some crazy drug addict. He really shouldn’t be running a business. This is definitely creepy.

You know that feeling when you’re simply glad you escaped with your life and the lives of your children? Well, if you want to avoid it, just steer clear of the angry screaming cursing crazy man who runs this place. Yikes.

Most unfriendly person we have come across in Hawaii EVER, and we visit often. We stopped in around 9, saw that the store didn’t open until 10:30. When we came back after lunch and started looking around outside of the store a man came outside and started screaming and swearing at us — saying «CANT YOU F*ING SEE WERE CLOSED» and «GET THE F*ING HELL OFF THE PROPERTY» as well as other choice words. This was of course in front of a nice grey haired couple (who also had no indication that they were «closed») and my sister’s 3 small children. It seems to be advertised as a thrift store-​business, but apparently is just a house full of angry hoarders. I see from other reviews that others have had similar experiences at the Whatever New and Used Thrift Shop. I would stay far away.

Stopped in to check out the local goods. However this place accumulates all the tourist leftovers, down to hairspray that has not only been left by disorganized travelers but it is only ¼ full for $ 4.29 for Aqua Net that is so old the can is rusting! I thought this was a thrift shop! Big dogs in the back where the clothes are and the dressing room beware. It’s a makeshift closet.

It was very small and cluttered. I did find a piece I’d been wanting for a while and it was cheap. Glad I went.

This should be just one star. Filthy, disgusting, terrible service, messy, don’t waste your time!
