Kapolei Transit Center

It’s a transit. Lots of traffic (people) through here but thanks to the many stops not everyone is always at the same stop. There is ample amounts of seating.
This is located behind the building with Brick oven Pizza and nearby is the library (Another place to relax and escape the heat).
There are Porta potties but ew, no. Lol.
Night time can be a bit dangerous. The area isn’t very well lit and people tend to drive through here without really slowing down. Please be careful when you cross the street and if possible, bring a little flashlight or maybe wear something reflective?
All in all, this place is better than other places.

Since I can’t drive, I have no choice but to come back here lol.
As others have stated, it is hoooooot during the day. I suggest bringing water or an umbrella just in case there isn’t any seats with shade just so you can somewhat escape the heat.

As far as transit centers go, this is by far the worst in the island. No public bathrooms, far away from the main road, and really sketchy.

Honestly, I prefer this transit to Waipahu transit. Not that anyone really has a choice because if you have to go somewhere, you’re going to have to transfer a set point and can’t just «choose.» Either way though, I’ve never come into the riff-​raff at this one like I have in Waipahu.
Aside from the one Micronesian guy that wanted to watch me put on make up and kept telling me to look at him, I have to transfer here almost every day and don’t have too much trouble.
Avoid using the port-​a-​potty if you can. I really wish there were those trailer bathrooms like at the fair instead but you know how that would go so I guess I understand the point.
What I like about this transit is that it’s so close to places to eat or shop. I can easily get to k-​mart, the theatre, or the shopping center with chun wah kam, brick oven and simply organized.
What I dislike is not enough covered benches or areas. When it rains, everyone is stuck huddling under one covered bench, trying to stand on the seating area and hide behind the poles n stuff. It sucks.
Other than that, it is what it is. Standard transfer spot that may be a tad above average than the rest just because I don’t seem to notice as much questionable characters. It’s «okay» in my book.

Kapolei Transit Center is the transfer point for Ewa Beach, Makakilo, Makaha, Campbell Industrial Park and Ala Moana Center.
The transit center was formerly located between the Kapolei Entertainment Center and the parking lot for the credit union. Back then there were restroom facilities for the bus riders and drivers to use when needed.
Do to vandalization from individuals who couldn’t care less about city property the restroom facilities and the transfer point got demolished to make way for the on/​off ramp going/​coming from Wet N Wild. The new location of the Kapolei transfer point has absolutely no restroom facilities for the bus riders and drivers. There are a couple port a potties for the brave folks who really need to go when nature calls.
The current location of the Kapolei Transit Center has very limited lighting when it comes to the evening or early morning hours. It would be nice if there were a bit more lights for safety reasons.

The buses never come on time, and the App is never right. Always making passengers switch buses. Bus drivers have horrible people skills. Very inconaiderate to the people who depend on bus to get to work. Hate this service and its only been getting worse. Been hating this service for the past 19 years.

Whoa, it’s so VERY DARRRK! It was my second time at this transit center, but first for being here at night and let me just say… yikes!
There is very little vehicles that come through this area, which makes it a little bit creepier. The street lights are dim, there aren’t many buildings next to the transit center. Yes, there’s a shopping center near by, but being that the transit center lays on the outskirts of the shopping center it doesn’t help with providing any lighting.
All you see is empty lots surrounding you with large bushes and some weird and overly friendly people.
I wouldn’t recommend waiting at this transit center at night, if you do, leave your headphones off, be aware of your surroundings at all times and maybe carry a flashlight and pepper spray, just saying…

Kapolei Transit Center is located behind the little shopping complex where Simply Organized and Chun Wah Kam are. Major transfer point for anyone town bound from the Westside (if you’re staying in Ko Olina and catching the bus anywhere, you’ll come through this transit first, get on a «C» bus to get to Ala Moana faster).
Place is generally clean, but there aren’t any real facilities except for the stops. I think there are port-​a-​potties, but I mean. c’mon. Signs above the stops indicate what stops where, buses are generally on time, and vagabonds are few and far between. I feel like it’s one of the safer transit centers, however it does get dark at night.
If you’re really unsure of what you’re doing, just call the bus peeps at 848‑5555.
