My hubby and I have been coming here for the past year… we love our americano and mocha lattes! Staff is ALWAYS friendly and efficient! Never disappointed!

Here’s a hint. The quickest way to fill those nifty stamp cards is to buy a hydroflask! Stopped here for coffee one morning and bought an 18 oz hydroflask that was on sale. Boom! One whole card, DONE. On another note, their loyalty system seems far more efficient than Starbucks’ new star system. Seems like you don’t have to spend as much as you to at the bux. I love their crushed ice and their Iced Vanilla Americano always gives me the kick I need to get my butt into gear, even if the flavors are powder!

I got the ice tea blended chai in the super large and I also got a cinnamon roll. I don’t usually like cinnamon rolls but I believe I LOVED this one. It wasn’t all gooey(not dry either) and I swear the icing was homemade! I also don’t usually like bean leaf’s drinks. The one by diamond head has a weird flavor. But this chai is yum. I’m glad I got the size GIANT. I’m only here while waiting for someone to see a house. The two people to wait on me, young. Didn’t catch names but they were pleasant and sweet, which is saying a lot. Starburnt employees can sometimes be stuck up, but I’ve never received attitude at Bean Leafs. This location renewed my hope for Bean Leaf. Next time I’m near one I’ll pop in and get the blended chai.

I came here to get coffee and use the wi-fi. Based on previous reviews I thought I made the right choice. However, I was wrong. I got a light roast coffee. I must’ve gotten the bottom of the pot because it tasted burnt and was very murky. I also got a cup of water, which tasted like it had dirt in it. I went to the outside seating area. It was very dirty; disgusting. It’s also very loud because it’s on the side of the store and next to a gas station. I couldn’t make a phone call because all I could hear were trucks and dollies… deliveries. In addition, the Wi-Fi does NOT work. I asked the lady who worked there and she said, «Well… it’s kinda tricky… I generally don’t try to connect here… «. Enough said.

I love this location! They have such friendly staff and they always make my drink on point! I frequent to this location quite often and they are always so courteous. My absolute favorite is their caramel ice blended with extra caramel walls and occassionally I put soy milk in there. Their ice blended drinks are WAY better than Starbucks! They also have stamp cards where every $ 1 you spend, you receive a stamp. Every 50 stamps gets you a free drink! I find myself getting tons of free drinks… Overall, Coffee Bean over Starbucks any day!

Service is great. The baristas are quick. Better than starbuck, in my opinion. Stamp cards are always awesome. I like trying their seasonal drinks. Their teas are great too.

Only cause I have to put a star Customer service was going good until they made my drink… They made a mistake and instead of making a new one the guy scooped out ice to put in soy it looked so ghetto! You could tell on my face I was like ugh! The other barista saw my face and said sorry she would make me a new one. Foodland/Malama should change to Starbucks or teach these workers the right way

I love their coffee, I love their tea! I HATE their lemonade though I swear the Li hing mui lemonade was an extreme waste. I think the ice blended drinks are better than Starbucks honestly. It’s also cheaper than Starbucks I believe.

I love the staff at this location. My mom and I always come, and one of the baristas knows us by name so we feel very welcomed. Even if this place wasn’t the closest one to our house, we would definitely go the extra mile to go to this specific one. The thing I love about CBTL is their tea latte. I’ve tried replicating it so many times on my own but it never comes out the same. Also, their ice blended drinks are far better than Starbucks. CBTL blended drinks are smooth, whereas Starbucks is really icy.

Convenient location for me because its just up the road from me. Up makakilo drive, shares space with Malama market. Parking is shared with malama market so when it gets busy parking sucks. Inside is clean, neat, and organized. Small but they do have seating outside. Coffee is better than the you know who. Love their different flavors for iced tea. Staff is nice and friendly. Pastry side was a bit empty, this was the only negative. So if u snooze you lose. Returning again because I just live down the street.

I love the fact that it is closeby and that I can do some shopping in Malama and then grab a refreshing drink afterwards. My favorite is the iced strawberry tea latte. On an evening when I want dessert, I can easily go and grab a pastry or two.

I LOVELOVELOVE this place and even more so this specific location in Makakilo. The baristas usually have great suggestions on new drinks to try out. I actually really like them more than Starbucks… but of course Starbucks is up there too. I come here for my frappes, ice tea drinks, and desserts. I usually love to order the«ultimate» because it’s these coffe grinds you can chew on when drinking your frappé… it’s become a habit for me… if it’s not in my drink it feels like something is missing. It sort of reminds me of the chocolate chip frappé from McDonalds but different… as you’re grinding on chocolate that melts anyway and is softer in texture. There’s a nice little sitting area outside. Inside Coffee Bean is room only for a bar. This barista is conveniently located next to Malama Market and Aloha Gas Station. Why run down to the Kapolei Starbucks if you don’t need to. They have free wifi which comes in handy all the time :-) They share parking with Malama which can get pretty hectic. But you can park near the dentistry or off to the sides /behind the gas station.

Nice selection of coffee and tea, esp if you are looking for something different than the typical Starbucks fare. They have a decent selection of loose leaf tea so you can brew at home. Within walking distance of Aulani so it can’t be beat.

Of all the coffee chains, this is by far my favorite one. I love how close this is to my parents house right up the street. They make the best tea latte’s and always have different flavors of the week or month. My favorite is the strawberry cream and tropical tea latte’s… They have pieces of fruit in them and quench my thirst. It’s right next to Malama market and I walk the 5 minutes almost 3 times a day when I’m back home visiting my parents. Too bad there’s not many Coffee bean places here in Colorado. The nearest one to me is 20 minute drive :(. I love getting my teas here daily when I visit during the summers. I would happily pay to have my drinks here before Star Crack which is not all that good IMO. I how I miss my daily Iced tea Latte’s. Tried making my own at home, but it’s just not the same. Oh and they give a 10% military discount, which I love…

Sitting outdoors enjoying my awesome view and its a nice day out as well with my cup of Joe… what better can I ask for?! Lucky I live Hawaii! The staff here are so friendly and informative of trying new drinks! It’s about lunch time right now and because they share the same parking lot as Malama Market, the lot is pretty hectic! Don’t fret because people are always in and out of Malama Market!

If you find yourself in this shopping center and have to choose between Starbucks and The Coffee Bean, here is why you should opt for The Coffee Bean: (1) Although the shop is smaller than Starbucks, the ambiance is much better. (2) You can purchase the ice cream mochi from Bubbies at this location. Granted, they are sometimes a bit too frozen, it will at least satisfy your craving and save you some gas money: p (3) I feel like the baristas are a bit friendlier here. (4) Sometimes they have live music.

Lately, I feel like I’m walking around like a zombie. It’s been over 2 months since I was able to sleep for 5 hours straight, due to my newest addition to my family. So if you try to approach me, be forewarned that if I have a blank stare my body is functioning on minimal sleep. So how do I cope? Coffee, coffee, coffee, M & M’s, red velvet cupcakes, shave ice, li hung mui gummy bears, and other delectable sweets. Okay, okay, you caught me. I just have a sweet tooth. Moving on to the review. This Coffee Bean in particular is my ultimate favorite. For the spectacular view overlooking Kapolei, all the way to Diamond Head. At night the amazing view of the stars and the city lights. There is rarely a line and it’s never jammed pack with people. They offer free Wi-Fi, so it’s a awesome place to study, write a review on Unilocal,or surf the web. Coffee Bean employees are always customer orientated. I get greeted right away with a smile and I never feel rushed. If I am looking at the menu someone usually offers some help. I don’t feel like I’m just another person depositing money into a business. I truly feel like a valued customer. At other coffee shops they are talking to each other about all sorts of things. There’s usually free samples of baked goods or coffee. They are cheaper then the competitor. They currently have a special running till April, Military Appreciation. The deal is 10% off your whole purchase. I also like there stamp card. For every $ 1 that you spend you get a stamp. When it’s filled you get to choose ANYSIZE drink for free :) My personal favorite here is the English Breakfast Latte. I’m drinking one as I write this review. If it wasn’t offered as a free sample I would’ve never known of such a great pick me upper. You can pick any freshly brewed tea of your choice, they infuse it with vanilla, milk, and foam. There lattes are always up to par. At other coffee shops it’s usually a miss. It taste like hot water, tinted with some flavor for $ 5. Arrrghh, the agony. For the coffee ice blended drink, I enjoy the Ultimate Vanilla blended with chocolate covered espresso beans. Of course with the whip cream and sprinkled with cinnamon. They also offer seasonal drinks that I adore. Flavors such as gingerbread, pumpkin spice latte, and peppermint latte. If your ever in the neighborhood make sure you stop by this coffee shop on top of the hill. It Rocks!: D
