Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Dr. Hanis attended Westbury High School and then Brigham Young University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology. After graduation, he returned home to Houston and received his D.D.S. degree and orthodontic training at the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston.

A few of the distinctions that he holds most precious are that he is an Eagle Scout, a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, and an Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society member.

During his college years, he served an L.D.S. church mission to Campinas, Brazil for two years, where he became fluent in Portuguese. While attending BYU, he met his wonderful wife, Amy Beth and they are now proud parents of four beautiful children.

Although spending time with his family is his favorite thing to do, Dr. Shad Hanis also enjoys bike riding, skiing, fishing, photography, swimming and coaching his kids’ sports teams.
