Red Tag Mattress & Furniture

Okay so I read the reviews after I bought my couch on Sunday. These reviews are horrible and had me nervous but I can honestly say I had a different experience. So here we go:
I had been looking for couches all day Saturday and had a concept in mind of what I wanted and the price point. I went to about 6 furniture stores that day before finally walking into this store on a fluke. When I walked in, Curt and his employees were huddled together talking. So I took that as a bad sign because they didn’t seem to notice me. I walked up to them and asked if they had any furniture on sale as I was on a budget. Curt said they did and asked his wife to show me some items. I explained to her that I was on a tight budget and didn’t want to spend too much and she understood. We walked around looked at a couple of couches and finally settled on one. They were so nice and accommodating. I was there for a long time talking to them too and I never felt rushed. Finally, I paid my deposit to have them deliver and Curt informed that they would try to get it to me the next day and Thursday at the latest. Like I said, I read these reviews today and got really nervous as everyone seemed to have had a bad experience. But not only did I get my couches today, but I missed the delivery men and they were so kind. They didn’t brush me off or tell me they would have to deliver another time. They came right back and again they were so accommodating. I am so glad to have gotten my couch from them and my couches were intact. Nothing was wrong with them. I have been recommending them to my friends and family and would recommend them to my fellow Unilocalers as well. ***not a paid review**** these are my honest opinions.

I purchased a table a few months ago, when the table was being put together 2 screws went through it. the company was to order me a new table, 3 months pasted, multiple calls and pop up at location and still nothing. now almost 9 months later and I still don’t have a new table. I have contacted them multiple times and went to location and still nothing. I have contacted merchants preferred which I’m doing a lease through and they still haven’t done anything about my table just want me to make a payment, I refuse to make a payment on something that is damaged. I’m highly upset with this place and would prefer for them to come pick up the furniture and let me go to another business for my services.

Stay away from this business. I just purchased a twin mattress from them, but due to some change in circumstances, I requested a refund of my money since they had yet to deliver it. When I phoned, the girl said that all sales are final… that I could not get a refund. I haven’t even gotten the product yet and they are already treating their customers shitty. Never again!

Run from this place. This is one of the worst places I have bought a furniture. They promise a date and they don’t deliver when they say they will and will change your deliver date without even telling you. They have no customer service skills as they don’t call to update you, you have to be chasing after them. They will tell you that they will call you with an update in a few minutes and days can and you have to call back and get the same story. They put me on hold for long period of time and I had to hang up but didn’t even get a call back. I normally don’t write bad reviews because there will be mistakes we are all human but the experience was just too bad not to write about it.

Curt is the owner, who speaks and acts like an uneducated man, and he will treat you as if your time is worth nothing. They rescheduled 3 times, and all changes of delivery date occurred either on the day of delivery or 1 day before. Curt or his unprofessional manager also will not call you to reschedule. You will only find out that the delivery is cancelled when YOU call. The real delivery date was late a full month after the promised delivery date. Curt, you used the word «guarantee» over the phone.
They will also not offer you any reimbursement or claim any type of responsibility. All I got was a pillow, which was worthless.
My furniture came in past midnight, but was originally slotted in for 5 pm that day (which was 1 month late already). I wanted to NOT tip because obviously my time was wasted. However, the 2 people who delivered were a very young boy and the other was a bigger fellow who cannot speak English. They look just absolutely spent for an entire day of delivery so I tipped anyway. This is how Curt/​the manager treats their staff. Curt also mentioned that he will be there to deliver himself, but he was a coward and a liar to not do so.
In other words, don’t go here.

Stay away people this is the worse place I have ever been to! They will rip you off ! Delivery will never make it your house! Curt and company will go of business and you’ll be stuck with no one to answer too

Do not go here! I bought a new mattress here a few weeks ago to replace the defected one that I purchased from them 2 years ago. They gave me in store credit which is where things took a turn for the worst. When the came to deliver the mattress the bags where all ripped open (rule number one when purchasing mattress is to never accept a mattress whose bags are ripped open). Hello that’s how bed bugs infestations start. Then after me telling them that I’m not accepting the mattresses they still took the mattresses out of the truck and place them on the ground when it had been raining for 3 days (I have photographs). I went back to my house and shut and locked my door and denied them access to deliver the mattress due to these conditions. I called the next day and said that I would like my new bed delivered one without puncture holes and also mud on the edges when I was informed by the lady that I denied them access so I forfeit the mattress and the money owed in which she then hung up. I decide to call back and this time record the phone call. I ask to speak to the owner «Kurt» in which she replies they don’t have an owner by that name in which I replied by stating «yes, you do I spoke with in store and on the phone.» She then goes on to tell me that she was going to «add costs to my account» which is tied to my social security number. She then hung up again. At this point I go straight to the police station and replay the entire phone call to the officer and he states I can file a «theft report» since the actual cost of the bed was over 1,000 dollars and or I can file a «fraud report» due to her threat. The police officer did ask me to call one more time with him there to see if he could speak to Kurt and explain the situation. I then call and what do you know «Kurt» is now there willing and able to do anything he can to resolve the issue.
3 weeks later I find that they charged me taxes and so did the finance company so I was charged taxes 2 times which is illegal! I called in and explained that my paperwork shows taxes so they needed to call progressive to fix that in which h r reply was «I don’t make mistakes». Umm yeah you do I have the paperwork right in front of me. In which she replied «your lucky that’s all I charged you»… All phone calls are recorded for the attorney I am getting Monday.

My experience with this company has been absolutely horrible. It seems like most people that have left the good comments have dealt with a sales person by the name of Rodney. As of the beginning of September 2014 there is not a sales person there by that name. I have dealt with Sandra, Jinn, and Kurt and I have not received the level of customer service that I should have. Upon visiting the store for the very first time I dealt with Sandra. I ended up taking home a floor model sofa, but once I got it home realized that it was too small. I called the store immediately to exchange the sofa for something larger. My experience was a nightmare from then on. I was told numerous times that I would get a return phone call to make matters right (exchange the piece), but rarely did I receive a call back. I was lied to on various occasions regarding when my furniture would be delivered. I was also given inconsistent dates regarding when my pieces would arrive from the manufacture. All around this company does not do customer-​focused business after you sign your name on the line. Very similar to another reviewer, Red Tag fraudulently e-​signed my financing documents to Progressive without my approval. My advice would be to take your money and go else where. I will never go back again. By the way here it is the end of September and I still have not received my completed order.

Red Tag has beautiful furniture sets, high-​quality mattresses and will give you an amazing deal! We just wanted to browse and were happy not to be bothered or sold all throughout the store. A sales person was always available when we had questions, though. Rodney was professional and super knowledgeable. He helped us get approved for a beautiful furniture set and king mattress. We didn’t even want to buy when we left the house that day, but would’ve been stupid if we didn’t take this deal! They will take great care of you and help with delivery as well. This has been a very pleasant experience.

Had a great experience at Red Tag Mattress! Was referred to the my one of my friends, who ‘got a great deal on a mattress’ for a teen girl’s bedroom. My husband and I just moved into a larger place and needed a new mattress for the master bedroom and a new bed for the guest bedroom. We were headed to Mattress Firm, when we decided to stop in for a quick look. 30-​minutes later, Rodney had our order written-​up and delivery scheduled! We paid in full for our purchase, so I can’t speak to comments about financing issues. (From what employees told me) there have been some positive management changes at this location.
They beat or meet the prices of any competitors who work from the same Crown Mark furniture catalog.
Both Rodney, our salesperson and Sandra, the delivery coordinator were very helpful and efficient. I rescheduled our delivery due to horrible winter weather… and procrastination in unpacking from our move. Once rescheduled, I received excellent communication from the in-​store staff and our delivery did arrive on-​time, even though it was still another nasty, cold, blustery day. The delivery men assembled the bed, didn’t bang into my walls, and were very polite.
I’m planning to return to Red Tag next week to look at night stands and occasional tables.

DO NOT SHOP AT RED TAG! OMG! I have never had an experience like this! I am writing this review at a dining room table that I purchased from them, but here’s the catch… I’m MISSING 2 OF MY CHAIRS (it’s been 3 weeks)! They won’t answer the phone. They always say, «I’ll call you back.» They cut and paste your signature on documents. They build your furniture and then it breaks. The owner Jenn doesn’t «deal with customer service» Jenn transferred me to a store secretary instead. The Red Tag on 1960 can’t help at all. ABORT THIS MISSION.
