About 4 years ago I was presented with a medical emergency. I went to Katy Memorial Herman Hospital, Dr. Reddy was the doctor in the ER that night. I was in extreme pain and discomfort and was told I had some sort of Kidney infection, and was immediately given pain meds and a generalized antibiotic. I was also told it would take 48 – 72 hours to receive the results. After vomiting continuously for the full 72 hours, I demanded that a nurse call the lab in front of me to find out what was the hold up with my results. When she called the labs explained they had never received my samples from Dr. Reddy and that they were still waiting. However at this time I could not longer give samples due to the medications they had started me on. Not once during a 9 day period did Dr. Reddy stop in to my room to see how I was doing or ask how he might better my health. Finally on the 10th day, Dr. Reddy came into my room only to berate and yell me and demand that I start walking around, claiming that I was not helping myself by laying in the hospital bed every day. I then got extremely upset and stated that if he had done or was doing his job as a physician than I’d be able to walk around the halls without vomiting every 5 minutes, however since he had failed to do anything to help me, and I was not about to allow a Doc. to raise his voice at me, I told him I no longer wanted his services and that I was changing doctors immediately. The very next day with the help of a new physician and a head nurse they were able to figure out that a medication that Dr. Reddy had been giving me was having an adverse affect on me and causing my continuing vomiting. After 12 days I was diagnosed with a complication that I will have for the rest of my life and will always blame Dr. Reddy and his unprofessionally demeanor and incompetence. Updated to one star. The front office told me to sign the form on Saturday when office is closed and assured me that someone wud be present and yet I waited but office remained closed and no one showed up. Called the doctor to complain about it and his statement was the issue is not life threatening and I need to come back again to sign the forms and prescription can’t be given until form is filled. Doesn’t understand the inconvenience caused due to their negligence or that other people have busy schedule too.
