I was recently blessed with the gift of acupuncture. Being the first time receiving acupuncture, I was a bit nervous on the day. Nestled in a quiet (well, it was that day) neighborhood, Laura’s office is actually her home. Her home is exudes peace and tranquility. It really was a lovely welcome to soothe my fears.
Laura greeted us and made us feel at peace right from the start. She reviewed a general health checklist and provided great information on some of my health concerns. She also gave me helpful tips on diet based on a quick examination of my pulse and a quick look at my tongue. Amazing!
As I laid down and tried to calm the nerves, she began playing soothing music and covered my eyes with a lavender scented towel. Divine! She then quickly went to work, placing needles in areas that would move my chi and help relieve some health concerns. I felt a warming sensation and energy flow to the areas where the needles were placed. It felt very strange, yet amazing at the same time. I had been suffering from a chronic headache and stress build up in my shoulders. After the session, the tension had disappeared and I felt a boost of energy.
To make a long story short, Laura is amazing! She really takes the time to listen and make you feel at ease. Being from Oahu, I won’t be able to make another appointment with her. However, she gave me a referral. Looking forward to another session! Thank you, Laura!

I was on the Big Island for a wedding in October of 2010, and had had the most awful flight imagineable on the way over. The worst, and someone even threw up next to me (in a bag). Anyway, after the terrible flight, and my subpar bed at the hotel I had some serious neck pain. I had a massage at the hotel, which definitely helped, but I was still maybe 40 percent away from feeling normal. I emailed my acupuncturist in NY, Jenn, to see if she knew anyone here. As fortune would have it she did. Jenn even set it up so Laura called me and discussed my case over the phone. Laura was wonderful, very warm and caring. She listened to me whine about me flight with a sense of humor. When I woke up the next day I was 100% better. Maybe I’m easy to please, but she seemed to be what Unilocal says «as good as it gets!».
