A friend recommended Warren, and I’m so glad he did! We were picked up at our B&B at 9:30am by Warren and visited several locations that we would have missed completely on our own. We opted for a tour of the Puna region as we had taken a tour of Volcanos National Park last year. Our stops included the Painted Church, which is dedicated to Saint Damien, and Warren shared some interesting island history related to him. Next we went to a warehouse where they manufacture products made with noni, and we picked up a sprouting coconut from the ground. We then headed over to the Kalpana lava flow area. This was my favorite spot, as you get a true sense of the raw and destructive force of lava, and the ways that it has affected the lives of people living on the big island. There used to be coconut trees a long the beach before they were destroyed by the lava. While we were there we planted the coconut we had picked up in the volcanic soil to help replant the grove in it’s new location, 150 yards toward the ocean in the new land that was created by the flow in 1990. Warren is very knowledgeable, friendly, and a great guide. We had other adventures with Warren that day, but I won’t spoil all the surprises. Do yourselves a favor and book a tour with him. It will be an experience you won’t forget.

Native Guide Hawaii is one of those businesses in Hawaii that you must take advantage of. Warren Costa owner and guide is the best in the business. I have sent clients to him now for 2 years now and they always come back raving about his tours. My wife and I recently went on tour with him and no joke he knows this island like nobodys business. When on the Big Island and you have a full day to spend checking out the volcano or rainforest or bird watching Warren and Native Guide Hawaii is your man!!! Can’t say enough good things about his tours and it’s personal not one of those Roberts or other tours so you get to do what you want to do! Not what someone else wants to do. It’s your vacation it wouldn’t be worth a trip to Hawaii Island without taking a tour with Warren. $ 300.00 per couple max of 6 and he includes lunch. Nathan Bowers Travel Agent/Owner
