Angela L.

Business Owner

Founder and instructor Angela Leslee, LMT has been a licensed massage therapist in Hawaii since 1996 following graduation from the Hawaiian Islands School of Massage (HIS). After five years in private practice, she was invited to become an instructor at HIS, which offers a 1,250 hour program in medical massage. During her 5 year tenure she also developed and co-​founded 3 different massage school projects for Japanese students both in Hawaii and Japan.

Angela has built a reputation among her students for teaching in a clear and concise way. She can break down even the most complex information into simple, easy-​to-​understand pieces. She believes it is important to empower students so that they can access what is already inside of them, and that teaching and learning should be fun. Laughter allows time for integration. The relaxed atmosphere in Angela’s classes allows for optimal assimilation of material.

Eclectic little place, and we loved the local feel as well as the 2 wonderful massages we received. From the bits of Lego’s scattered in the reception area, to the open windows and doors with a dog barking across the way — this is not for everyone, but we felt like part of the community here. We ranked each of our massages as very good, especially considering that these folks are students.

Good massage for a very good price. Since its a school and the masseuses are students, you would think they would ask for feedback on their massages when finished, but they don’t. Other massage schools request you fill out a feedback form, or speak to the teacher or therapist when finished, here you don’t. There are some issues with appointments being double booked and them not answering their phone during business hours and its a ways to drive, but overall, a positive experience and I will be back.

They were able to get me into a cancelation appt right away, which was fantastic because my right shoulder had been bothering me for weeks. The massage therapist was very attentive and focused on the areas I requested. The massage room was quiet and the table was comfortable for a massage school.
The only negative was it was pretty humid in the room because it was warm and humid outside. However, the therapist tried to make me comfortable with a fan and by uncovering my feet. She was great, and the school is a good value. It was only $ 40 for an hour, compared to $ 120-​$ 160 for only 50mins elsewhere on the island. Amazing deal!

Decent massage for a great price. There are lots of little shops and fun things to do in the area after your massage as well. My only complaint is that staff was rude when I called to book, and I would have liked it if my student masseuse had asked if the pressure she was using was Ok, as it was a bit rough at times. Overall, a good massage but they could improve on polish and customer service.

Angela’s students only knows how to do massage one way and that is the right way. I’ve been coming to the Aloha massage academy for a long time, and I feel refreshed and invigorated agree my massage. If you have not tried massage you have to experience it at the Aloha masage academy.

This place is so worth every penny spent. Of course it’s students but I must say they give the best massage ever!!! They ask that you fill out a questionnaire which I think made the experience better because they got to know me before the service and provided personal attention to the things I expressed needed attention. If you are on kona I would highly recommend visiting this message school once or even every single day (I would’ve)

This place was great. What a little gem this place is. $ 40 massage in a great little store front. Jake was my therapist and certainly has an extremely bright future ahead of his as a massage therapist. He was fabulous. Loved the furry greet when I walked in the door (a couple of dogs that like to sit on your lap while you wait.) Great experience. I will use again when I go back to Kona.

Hubby had the best massage ever here & it was only $ 40 for a full hour!!!
His therapist worked him over like crazy! Stretched out his pecs and used her forearms on his biceps to work out the kinks.
Credit card machine was down the day he went. Luckily I had cash.

Cute massage school with reasonably priced massages. $ 40 for 60 mins, $ 60 for 90 mins. Had a group of 8 people with me and they were able to accommodate all of us. Friendly environment, staff, and students.
