Average seems fair. Really depends on the night regarding food quality. Personally, I would rather go to the Chicken Coop or Buffalo Wild Wings for atmosphere and food.

Good food, reasonable value, good service, lots of big screen TVs to watch NCAA tournament.

Found Jersey’s when in Kearney. It was pretty full on a Friday night, with no major sporting events to draw people in to watch all the big screens, so we figured it must be OK. It’s your typical sports bar: plenty of big screens and a good variety of beers on tap. The menu is limited, mostly bar food. They also have pizza. I ordered a grilled chicken salad; it was about the only item that wasn’t a heart-attack on a plate. Our meals didn’t come out together. The salad came out first on a large shallow bowl with a wide rim. The bowl was warm. Not great for a salad, but forgivable if that means it was freshly washed. However, the rim of this bowl was warm, greasy, and covered with fingerprints. Then I took a closer look at my pint glass of Guinness. It had lip prints on it… that weren’t mine. I quickly lost my appetite. We advised our waitress. She had been very friendly and we thanked her for her service. But when we pointed out the warm, greasy salad bowl, she said, «Those are probably just my fingerprints. I swear that it’s clean.» I guess she has very sanitary hands. She seemed offended that I could think that my bowl was dirty. We left without eating.

The food is pretty good, especially the wings and fries. But I really like going here simply for the game day action. Probably the best place in town to watch a sporting event.
