When visiting our Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham in Kearney, NE, you will experience a clean, modern and friendly hotel. All of our rooms feature top-​of-​the-​line pillow-​top queen mattresses with additional pillows. Our cable line-​up on our 32″ flat screens is in HD and features several movie and sports channels including HBO, ESPN and BTN.

Our complimentary breakfast includes fresh baked muffins, real eggs, and a menu that changes daily. We also offer fresh fruit, a variety of yogurts, and a mix of cereal that includes gluten free items, all in addition to the fresh make-​your-​own waffles. Coffee and our wide assortment of teas are available 24⁄7.

We offer a variety of room types to accommodate guests with different needs. For those traveling with pets, we are pet friendly. For larger groups and families, we have several connecting rooms. These rooms work well for those who want to stay together. For those who are concerned, we are 100% smoke free and do offer rooms that have been «pet free».

Our location next to the hike and bike trail gives travelers a great opportunity to «stretch» their legs. For those, who are coming to Kearney for conferences, events and tradeshows, we are close to the Viaero Event Center, the Younes Conference Center, and the Buffalo County Fairgrounds. Our location next to I-​80 gives travelers great access on and off the interstate. There are also numerous restaurants less than a mile from the hotel.

The concept is simple: Smaller, less frilled rooms at a great price. It worked perfectly for us.
We used the Microtel in Kearney as a halfway stopping point for our trip to and frim Colorado. We didn’t care about pools or in house restaurants/​bars. We just wanted a clean, comfortable room at a good price. Microtel delivered. It is not for people who desire luxury and every bell and whistle or a resort destination hotel. It IS for those who need a safe, comfortable place to rest, shower and he breakfast.
They are pet friendly, but you can’t tell… no smell or animal noise. Their brekafast was good: waffles, fruit, yogurt, etc.

Stayed at this location last night while driving cross country, and I had a great experience. The hotel was located just off the interstate and was close to the chain eats but only 5 minutes from the downtown area that had the local stuff.
Clean room (that included a mini fridge) and clean bathroom (with nice towels)! The shower has good water pressure and maintained selected temperature. I’ll def stay again if I’m in the area!

The Microtel Inn & Suites in Kearney is a very comfortable and clean hotel in a great location. Located just off I-​80 this is a great stop if headed to Kearney or simply passing through.
The staff were all courteous and professional. Coffee and other beverages are available in the lobby at all hours. There’s also a hot complimentary breakfast in the morning. Free wi-​fi and a business center as well. Top notch.
The room was clean and comfortable. The beds especially were great. Nice hot shower with great water pressure. Plenty of closet space and a nice desk and work station. Ideal if you’ll be here for a few days.
Kearney is a wonderfully charming town, by the way. In addition to the hotel’s proximity to the highway, we especially enjoyed how close it was to downtown Kearney, which is filled with a ton of great locally owned bars, restaurants and, shops.
If you don’t feel like driving though, there are several restaurants and a convenience store basically in the same parking lot as the hotel. Very convenient. We will definitely stay at the Microtel Inn & Suites in Kearney again!

You can’t expect 5-​star service from a 2-​star hotel, and I feel like that’s what a lot of these people reviewing this hotel were expecting. For the price, this hotel is amazing. The breakfast was delicious. The bathroom could be better and they could also add a wall socket near the bed, but hell, it’s a cheap hotel this is just me «nitpicking». If I’m ever in the area I would stay here again.

Nice pet friendly facility, our room was right by the back door do noisy and dog was irritated all night. Good breakfast buffet. Clean. Odd lights, no small room lamp.

I never feel that compelled to write reviews, but this place gave me good reason.
I needed a room last minute for Harvest Days, and was being quoted really crazy rates in Hastings, so I started looking in Kearney. Microtel was the first pet-​friendly place I found, and they were less than half the rate I was quoted at a roach-​motel in Hastings.
I was told that I could leave my cats in the room while at Harvest days, no problem.
Upon arrival I was very pleasantly surprised that the pictures almost the actual rooms– they were actually NICER than the pictures. I’m military, and have traveled all over the world, this is a rare occurrence. Very nice room, comfortable beds, lots of pillows, convenient location, friendly staff.
I got zero slack when I checked with the staff again the following morning about leaving the kitties in the room. The gal at the desk was very sweet, and confirmed my contact info just in case they needed to call me.
Great breakfast, great rates, and no grunge. I will be back, and I’m going to look for more of these places.

Cool concept– little rooms for a great price. And super dog friendly. The room was very small but we went in expecting that. The minimalist concept crept into the toiletries as the hotel only offered a tiny bottle of 2-​in-​one shampoo conditioner. As someone with a lot of hair I was not impressed. Overall the room and bed were very clean which to me was the most important thing. The lighting in the room was harsh with either bright overhead lights or darkness nothing in between. Staff was helpful and offered restaurant recommendations and breakfast was the standard lackluster free hotel breakfast. Not bad for the price.

Best hotel I stayed in during my move from the East Coast to the West Coast. The young woman at the front desk was incredibly kind and accommodating. I didn’t have a reservation and she was quick to assist me! This hotel has amazing reviews for a reason! A huge plus is they are pet friendly and this made my travels with my dog, Abby, less stressful. I would highly recommend this place!

Great value for a pet friendly motel on I-​80. My room was very comfortable and super clean. I can highly recommend this place.
One caveat: As my sister put it, it’s a good thing I had a micro-​dog for my room at the Microtel. My room was tiny without much floor space. I only brought in a small overnight bag and the dog weighs 8 pounds, so we were comfortable, but you may want to ask about slightly larger rooms if you need more space.

The perfect hotel for a road trip stop over. We stayed here one night with our 2 dogs and the hotel was fantastic; clean bathroom and room, comfortable beds and very quite. We checked in late, almost midnight, and the front desk staff was incredibly helpful– walked us right to our room to confirm if we had a fridge and when we did not, she offered to re-​freeze the ice packs for our cooler in their staff fridge. Would stay here again and would recommend — a great value as well.

This Hotel was decent for a nights stay. There was a full wall mirror over the beds and my view was shrubbery. It allows pets and even though you could not smell them you could definitely hear them. The breakfast was continental with regular waffle iron and regular sides. The parking was adequate but not open so if you have a trailer you might have to park across the street. The Bathroom was probably the worse feature of the whole room but it still wasn’t that bad, the tub seemed a little cheap and so did the shower head. For what i paid while passing through it was a decent hotel. I feel if i had stayed for an extended period of time i may have felt differently about my stay but for the night it was adequate.

When I booked I noted it would be a late check in as we expected to arrive around 130am. We got stuck in bad storms and a bad accident on I80 as we were heading east. I called at about 11pm to make sure the hotel knew we were still going to arrive.
I spoke to Donna and she was great and very friendly. She told us to travel safe and she’d be there when we arrived. When we finally arrived at 330am, she was there as promised. We had a quick and efficient check in and were told she was glad we arrived safely. If all hotel staff were as wonderful as Donna, traveling would be more pleasant. The room was extremely clean and perfectly comfortable. I also appreciated the check out time of noon since we arrived so late.

The hotel price was very reasonable for my longer stay. The room was clean and modern. Breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast. The hotel is next to a new gas station if you forget anything, but it is quiet. The best part is the short distance to Old Chicago for their great selection of tap beer and they are even open late! Perfect stay!

We chose to stop in Kearney on a cross-​country road trip. I was in charge of finding a hotel for my fiancé and our 2 dogs to stay at. After a quick google search of Kearney, I decided on MicroInn because it looked clean and affordable.
I was right! The lobby and rooms were extremely clean, and the prices were pretty affordable. And they were dog friendly! Major perk!
I only have 2 gripes for this hotel.
First, the lighting in the room is really harsh. Like fluorescent lighting… not good when it’s 11:00 at night and you want to read in bed and your partner is trying to sleep.
Second, there was a severe lack of toiletries in the bathroom. I didn’t take a star off for this, but we booked a suite here, and I thought we would receive more than a shampoo and a little bar of soap. Maybe a lotion, face wipe or a body wash?
Overall, the hotel was really nice. The bed was SO comfy, and we enjoyed our stay here. We didn’t end up having the complementary breakfast, but it smelled pretty good as we walked by!

We have stayed at the Microtel three times over the past two years. It is always super duper clean with attractive contemporary décor. The price is reasonable and they welcome our dog which is a MUST for us when traveling. And you’d never know it is a pet-​friendly hotel (other than the four-​legged guests coming and going) as there is no smell, no pet fur inside the rooms or lobby, and no poop in the grass outside. The front desk staff was very friendly as well. And an additional free tip from me to you: eat at the El Maguay restaurant further up the main drag towards town away from the interstate. Excellent Mexican food!

This is the nicest Microtel I have stated in. The rooms have great colors and lots of space. Built-​in desk fits nicely below the flat screen HD TV and has extra outlets on top. There is a sitting space in the window as well. We stayed here 2 times during a road trip and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The «hot» breakfast was pretty standard as far as chains go and could use some help. The biscuits (for biscuits and gravy) were still cold (from the freezer) and did not have much flavor.

Out of the two Microtels I’ve stayed in this week, this one is the better one. The rooms are nicely painted, the beds are comfy enough and there’s a flatscreen TV and a little reading bed by the window.
The older gentleman at the desk during the night shift is hilarious and turns this two-​star hotel into a four-​star hotel.
In terms of budget hotels, this chain is definitely better than its counterparts and this particular location is clean and modern.
They also have a laundry room, free breakfast and free wifi. My biggest complaint is how the thin the walls are. We got 3 hours of sleep thanks to the family next door.
In any case, this hotel is cheap and not dirty which was good enough for us. We were on a road trip and we stayed here both on the way there and on the way back. We could have gone somewhere else on the way back, but this we were pretty sure this is as good as it was going to get in the 60-​ish dollar range for an 8 hour stay.
