We had Juan clean our carpets and he couldn’t be any nicer. It was a great experience.

Literally the worst customer service I think I’ve ever experienced. My carpet was wet because water seeped in from the recent flood. The carpet remediation company came and tore up my carpets, left it like that and said they would be back in a couple of days. There was no follow up appointment made or calls– just that they would be back in a couple of days. Well 5 days later I came home to a note saying they stopped by but no one had notified me nor did they say when they were coming back!!! Not only that but when I called them to schedule an appointment and told them what happened there was absolutely no sign of apology or acknowledgement that they left my house torn apart for over a week without any follow through!!! I told them I missed work for this so I need the appointment to be the first one of the day. They gave me an estimate of anytime between 8am — 3pm. Are you serious? I asked for an earlier time if possible PLEASE schedule for the first appointment. They said they will definitely try. Well everyone it’s 915am and I just called because I need to go to work and guess what? They said he won’t be here any earlier than 12pm. I am SO irritated and upset! This business lacks professionalism on all aspects. If I had not called to see when they were ever coming back I don’t think they would have finished what they started. Bad juju to you awful people who run this janky business!!!

I had the best experience with this company. After getting ignored and left to my own devices (do I look like I know about hardwood flooring?) at a competitor, I decided to give this company a try. Justin came over, took the time to show me different samples, explained the differences, and put different samples down on the floor, and in different light so I could see it. We made an appointment for measurements at my home, he showed up on time and was very thorough, answered all my questions.
Presented me with quote several days later, and I signed on the dotted line. Hardest part for me was emptying out the rooms for installation. But they absolutely take care of all the heavy lifting, furniture, all that.
Auscencio and staff also showed up on time for the install, and though it took a tad bit longer than anticipated, the end result was absolutely worth it. Staff was very respectful, cleaned up their mess, worked around nosy cats, and the install was just perfect. His team even made sure my wireless remained hooked up throughout, a big bonus! And they plugged in my TV after they moved everything back in to place.
I guess it all depends on what day/​who you are working with, but I would really recommend this company. I had a pretty small job, but they made me feel like I was worth their time, and they were happy to take my money. Worked out a good financing plan too, so it was easier on the budget.

Wood floors were installed by them. Was told floors were unscratchable. Floors got scratched. Called over 20 times and sent 10 – 15 emails to find out about getting repaired and was always told they would get back to me but nothing. Floors cost over $ 25K!!! Absolutely awful customer service and completely unprofessional. Would not use these guys.

I stopped in today with the intent to purchase carpet. Both salesmen working did not acknowledge me or my husband or offer to help us the twenty minutes we were in the store and blatantly ignored us. Although they had some great materials the service was lacking and we decided to take our money elsewhere.

Went into to the store today to follow up on an sale that was in the local paper. Went to the Temecula Location and was treated like I was a bother to them. Was ignored by the manager, waited for 10 min without even being acknowledged. Would have appreciated a greeting and told someone would be with me shortly… never happened. Once I finally was able to get assisted by someone they had a difficult time finding the in stock product that was advertised. Additionally the advertise price and picture did not even match. Once I brought that to the managers (John) attention he proceeded to tell me that the pictures never match the prices. I explained to him that it’s a bit misleading to place a picture of a product that is not the actual advertised product for sale. I found the manager to be rude and offensive and unwilling to understand my concern regarding the advertise price and picture. I will never go there again and I will make sure to tell others of my experience.

Are you kidding me right now? So we drive all the way from El Cajon because their commercials seem so wonderful. NOT!!! There were three salesmen working and only one came over even though there wer other customers there. The salesman that helped us wanted to give us what he wanted not what we wanted and when I asked for bamboo he didn’t state if he had it or not just changed the subject. They didn’t have anything different as a matter of fact they had less than Home depot and Lowe’s. When other customers came in he just left us and went to help them. the other two guys were still just standing at the desk. What a waste. we won’t be going back there and I suggest you don’t either.

I’m honestly surprised by all these poor reviews. Perhaps the company is listening, because our experience with the customer service was slightly better, though it had it’s ups and downs (hence my middle of the road rating).
We stopped by their Convoy showroom to look at carpet. Unlike other showrooms we had visited, they didn’t start by leading me to one of their most expensive carpet displays.
Our salesperson, Justin, took the time to ask what we were looking for and to learn the budget for the project (which wasn’t high). When I decided to pick a lower end carpet, there was no pressure. He readily discussed pros and cons and let us make the decision with the information we had.
It was easy to schedule the measurements and the install times. They were flexible and had the carpet in stock. Their price came in competitive, lower or on par with others we looked at for the same carpet — but with a much friendlier and helpful sales team in the store.
Some here said they asked for a $ 200 deposit before measuring. This was not the case with us. We only paid the deposit when we actually ordered the carpet. Measuring was free.
So, up until the install, my experience was really 5 stars. They took extra time to walk me through all my costs, pros and cons, etc… even though I really was a small customer with a low budget project.
We thought our install team was supposed to arrive first thing on the scheduled date. But, at 8:30 am I got a call from them that they couldn’t find my address on GPS and hadn’t even left yet. I spelled it out for them and when they still couldn’t find it, I walked them through step-​by-​step, street-​by-​street directions.
At 9:00 am, a call from their service agent again asked for my address and told me they still hadn’t left yet. I was a little frustrated since I had provided it already. Plus, my husband was waiting to let them in and needed to get off to work.
Finally, they arrived a little after 10 am. So much for «first thing.» They finished the job in one day. They stayed until 6 pm and the clean up was a bit rushed. They vacuumed their mess out of the main rooms, but forgot the closets, which were still covered with carpet yarns and debris everywhere. They also dinged up a few of the floor boards, which I’ll have to paint over. I’ve had carpet installed in previous homes and this happened there as well. Still wish they had been more careful.
But, at the end of the day, the carpet looks fine. Their install crew wasted a couple hours of our time, but that was only worth taking off one star.

Appallingly bad customer relations. Really bad. We met with Patrick to get new carpet for our rental unit. Patrick is a nice, reasonable guy. Set an appointment for 9am this morning. We let them know that the rental is in a gated community, so we would meet them at the gate to let them in. we got there shortly before 9 and waited by the gate. 9am came and went. no call and no show by AFC. My wife called and Justin told her that he would find out what was going on and get back to her. Again, no show and no call. At 9:15 I called and talked to Justin who said the guy was coming from North County but Justin would find out where he was and call back. W confirmed that he had my wife’s correct cell number. 9:30 no show and no call. I called and talked to John. John said that there was a one-​hour window so the guy was not late. Of course, this was the first time we heard this line that there was a one-​hour window. I told him that and he implied that it was our problem, not his. At 9:40 my wife called back and explained that there was still no-​show and that no one had ever called us back. John complained to her that we had called them too often and repeated the one-​hour window nonsense. The guy showed up at 9:50, nearly an hour late, and too late to get our business. Doing business with this company is a big mistake. I am glad we pulled out.

DISAPPOINTING! that sums up my unfortunate experience with this location. shoddy work, inexperienced salespeople (at least in regards to product i purchased, which i found out later they had no previous experience with its use in a bath). VERY BAD to nil customer service.
blown off constantly about concerns about delivery of product.
what i was led to believe would be a 1-​month project turned out to be 3 months. i was NEVER told the product wasn’t going to be delivered on time, and then they acted like I was the problem customer because i wanted the job done.
workers scratched up freshly redone walls. never repaired after they said they would. often didn’t show up when they said they would, leaving us waiting and taking time off from work. messy.
tile shower floor is cracking and sloping after one year!
really regret making that final payment.
i was warned by a friend about this company but i had already signed up, which BTW was because they pressured me with a better price than costco and threw in a couple shower shelves, but i had to sign with them before month end, which was about in 24 hrs.
as a first-​time remodeler i learned a lot. out of the three contractors we hired, AFC was the WORST in every way.
maybe it’s not the custom in remodeling industry, but no one called to see if we were happy, etc.
please keep looking and read reviews!

I went to Coles first and it took 2 weeks to come up with a bid. then they were more than double what AFCC was for the same quality flooring both carpet and hardwood. and they wanted 4000.00 for 6 steps when the materials cost at Lumber Liquidator about 250.00.They are out of their minds. and you have to pay for someone to measure your house of 95.00 !! goes towards purchase but who would purchase anything when they are so expensive. I was told 860.00 at the store, then they called and said the price was 1260.00 Everyone else gave me a price right on the spot. not 2 weeks. beware and never pay for measuring when other’s do it for free. It is part of the service. Coles is non-​refundable. I went to the one on Convoy and the sales rep was Justin. Very nice and helpful. can’t say the same for Coles. San Marcos store… nothing but aggravations.

Our new hardwood floors look great! We were also very impressed with Angel and his installation team; they were very professional, had great attitudes, and their hard work ethic made everything run smoothly from start to finish… thanks again!!!

Today I was a repeat costomer wanting to by some carpet and was very disappointed in the customer service. They would not allow us to borow any samples even offering to leave a credit card # and bring them back in 3 hours. The store was empty and I was told they might miss a SALE if I borrowed samples. Well they did! Mine! I went to Coles. got a great price on beautiful carpet that will be installed next week. Don’t bother unless you like being treated like dirt!

Needed flooring in a rush for a rental unit. Sorry for the other reviews but we knew what we needed & how much as were were installing ourselves. Went there 1^st in our priceshopping trip found what we needed & then were able to call in the order later with the rep. They only didn’t get 5 stars becuase we had a hard time getting approval for the refund on the extra box we purchased as the buffer of Sqft we needed. One someone finally handled that they were great witht he return too… would definately use them again for laminate flooring

Really great selection of flooring. You name it, they’ve got it, from natural stone to super cheap commercial carpet. You need to have a good idea of what various flooring materials cost. Like all business of this nature, it pays to bargain a bit. They always have some room to negotiate.
If you are buying flooring, you should measure exactly before you go in to a flooring store. You need to understand that based on dimensions of your floor, you might wind up buying extra materials to get the layout you want or to ensure you cover the entire area (they don’t sell partial cases of tile, engineered wood floors etc.) There is always going to be an «up sell» for the underlayment, whether it’s carpet padding or sealer or «crack prevention» coating.
Do you homework, know what you want in terms of the quality of the floor. «The Google» is a wonderful thing. For their carpet at least, they show the price per sqft, installed. But that number doesn’t include any upgrades for sealers etc. and it doesn’t include tax. They charge extra if the floor needs to be leveled (ground smooth or floated), they charge more if they have to move furniture etc, etc, etc.
They generally have a very quick turn around for scheduling your job, especially if the material is something they carry in stock. I bought stock carpet on Thurs. They installed it on Saturday am.
Can you find flooring cheaper? Sure. But for a wide selection, good service & convenience, this is a pretty good bet. I have both carpet & bamboo that they installed & I am very satisfied with both.

This was the 3^rd place we went to when looking for wood floors so we had a general idea of what it was we wanted and in what price range we’d be looking at.
The manager, Dave, was nice and they had a pretty decent sized collection of floors. They had a BEAUTIFUL 7″ wood plank floor that the manager said they were the only place in SD that carried it (more on that later.) Towards the end of our visit, the manager said his «2^nd in command» could come by for a free estimate so he called him up and arranged for him to come by our condo during the weekend. Later on, Al, called my fiancé and asked if he could stop by that night instead because he was already out and about (with his wife) doing errands. My fiancé said «sure» — whatever was more convenient for him because we’d be home all wekeend. Al showed up at around 7:30pm that night, took the measurements, and told my fiancé that we could come by in a couple days once he had the numbers all worked out — cool.
So a couple days pass and we stopped by with my parents after having Sunday brunch near by. We walk in and Al greets us. He then proceeds to show Rudy and I the numbers, says he called the owner of the manufacturer and said we were his friends so that he could get us a better deal, etc. So far so good. He also said that if we signed that day, he’d give us the «discounted price» and if we signed later on he’d give us the «regular» price (weird.) My parents were looking around a little bit and we were ready to go. My fiancé thanked Al and said that we would discuss the numbers and get back to him…
NOW…I wasn’t within earshot of this conversation but my mom later said she could tell something wasn’t going well and this is what my fiancé told us after we left:
Apparently Al gave my fiancé crap about not signing right then and there. He went on and on about how he came out on his own time to do the estimate and he usually charges $ 50 for those. First of all — the scheduling of the estimate was between him and his manager. If he wanted to come out when he did, that’s his deal. We did not request him to come out when he did and his manager said all estimates were FREE. Then he went on about how he «went to bat» for us with the owner of the flooring manufacturer — again — something we appreciated but did not ask him to do. Then there was the whole «sign today and we’ll give you the discount, sign tomorrow and you have to pay more» deal — this was just one of 5 places we ended up going to and in the end every other place stuck to their initial estimate regardless of when we decided to sign. I DO NOT agree with a company that allows its customers to be guilted or pressured into purchasing?
After hearing that, I was for SURE not going to give them our money.
Besides that experience, the flooring here is overpriced and the beautiful 7″ planks they said only they carried in all of San Diego? We found it and other, same exact floors, for $ 2.50 less at a flooring galleries off Miramar Road (plus they had nicer, no pressure, customer service)
