Jonah has been our go-to car mechanic for years now. Very reasonable prices, friendly service, good work. He worked on our Subaru, he’s kept our ancient Honda Civic running in good form, helped us find a great Saab 9 – 5 wagon, nursed us through our awful VW Passat, and helped me locate, evaluate & buy our newest car, a Scion XB. He’s dependable, we’ve never ever had an issue with him, his staff or his work – everyone has been super friendly and accommodating– and he’s gone out of his way to help us over and over again. I highly recommend him. My ONLY caveat would be that because the shop is small, it’s sometimes necessary to allow plenty of time to schedule an appointment. But usually the shop is able to accommodate urgent repairs. In short, a great shop with much integrity.

I will never go back to a place who is condescending to their customers. Jonah claimed to know what he is doing and with Saab’s he does, other cars no way. I brought a car into him that is not a Saab and he said he could fix it. He didn’t know squat and didn’t want to admit it. I was charged for work that was never done plus was charged for phone consultation and it was still not fixed. I pulled it and took to someone who knew right away what was wrong and it was nothing on the list Jonah claimed to be wrong with the car. If you use this place make sure you have an exact quote in writing.

FIX, otherwise known as Jonah’s Shop, specializes in ‘student cars’ — all those SAABs, Volvos, Hondas, etc. that have been handed down to over and over again until they are near death. Jonah and team can resurrect them! Used parts, welding and body work as well. Experience with ‘grease’ cars and Diesel in general. Jonah races, so knows performance too.
