History

Established in 1919.

During the early 1900’s a young Russian immigrant, Isodore Plotkin, made a living pushing a junk cart around from house to house collecting rags and other castoff items. He then would sell the odds and ends to whomever was interested for a few pennies per transaction.

By the end of 1919, he had saved enough money to rent a small Main St. storefront and fill it with furniture. From those humble beginnings to the major furniture store in the Keene N.H. area, the business is now run by the 3^rd generation of the Plotkin family.
