Just recently started eating thai food, pad thai and drunken noodles are the go to when trying thai places and was pleased with thai garden. I did try the Thai iced tea, that was really good. Interesting flavor, but definitely hit the spot. Not too sweet and just enough cream was added. I ordered the pad thai, which has chicken and shrimp, and it was good. Not the best ive had, but it was flavorful. No spice what so ever, and the sauce was sweet and very light. I wished there was more veggies mixed in, but that usually varies from place to place. There were no veggies at all here. My husband ordered the drunken noodles. The menu stated it a 3 chili heat level(the hottest they have). We’ve never had drunken noodles that are super spicey, always have a nice kick but nothing over powering. He asked for it to be made less spicey, maybe a 2 and they had no problem doing that. I cannot imagine if he got the 3. These were very spicey! And the kind of spicey that burns your lips and mouth. The waitress was very nice and felt bad, she thought the dish wasn’t spicey at normal heat. The noodle dish was loaded with veggies, which I love, unfortunately was not able to handle the spice this time to eat many. Overall nice place to eat while traveling through town and can see another stop next time we are up this way.

A typical Northeastern college town Thai place. Comfortable atmosphere, clean, affordable, with good service. Food was not spectacular but not terrible either, and entirely unsurprising, flavor-wise. You might expect a Thai restaurant in a Northeastern college town to be a safe bet for vegetarian dining, but you’d be wrong. The menu has a section called«Vegetarian Corner,» but it contains items that are NOT vegetarian by default; i.e., items billed as «vegetarian» may contain fish sauce. Apparently, this restaurant — in defiance of the general consensus in the U.S. as to what«vegetarian» means — considers fish or oyster sauce vegetarian? I ordered the Tofu Tamarind and asked if there was fish or oyster sauce, and it turns out there was. Same thing with one of the curries. Only some of the dishes can be made vegetarian, others use pre-mixed sauce bases. So successfully ordering a vegetarian meal is not impossible, but more of a hassle than you might expect. Thai iced coffee and Thai iced tea were both delicious.

We had New Years day lunch at Thai Garden and it was an excellent dining experience. The service, the quality of the ingredients, and the cooking were all top notch and on par with the best Thai restaurants. We arrived and were immediately greeted, seated, and served ice water. The restaurant interior is simple, pleasant, full of light and very clean. The tables and dining area are also very clean. To our surprise, we were immediately served a complimentary cup of soup, a basic broth with cabbage, cilantro, scallion, and a single dumpling, which was simple, but delicious and a great way to start a meal on a cold day. After waiting for our final lunch guest to arrive, we placed our order. We started out with spring rolls for an appetizer. For an entrees, I ordered the Basil & Chili with Chicken(Thai Basil Chicken), and the others ordered Chicken Himmapan, and Vegetable Tempura and Chicken Tempura. Our spring rolls arrived promptly and were crispy and tasty. Our lunch orders arrived within 10 minutes of ordering and were hot and fresh. My Basil & Chili Chicken was excellent. The chicken and vegetables were top quality; the Thai basil was fresh; the jasmine rice cooked to perfection, and the chili sauce was light, fresh, and perfectly balanced. Our server was warm and attentive throughout our lunch and greeted us with a smile every time she visited our table. The prices are amazingly reasonable given the quality of the ingredients and the food. It was a perfect lunch all around, from the service to the food. Our first dining experience at Thai Garden was excellent and far exceeded our expectations. Thai Garden excelled in every area, cleanliness, service, quality of ingredients, and delicious, authentic Thai cuisine cooked to perfection. I cannot wait to eat at Thai Garden again and I highly recommend it.

We drove down to Keene to do some small business shopping after Black Friday. We were walking around town and got a little hungry. We did the Restaurant Roulette and decided on Thai. I was hungry for a few fresh spring rolls so we went in. We were immediately greeted with smiles and welcome. We were shown to our table and ordered a couple of Singha’s to sip while we perused the menu and the daily specials page. Everything read so nicely, I wish I could say«one each please». But due to my medical issues, I have to screen menus with the servers due to a sodium restriction. The waitress was far more than helpful here. Going through a detailed explanation of everything I asked about. She never looked ‘put out’ or ‘running late’ like most waitstaff, and was exceedingly helpful in assisting me pick an acceptable choice. Once our meals arrived, we were so pleased to find market fresh ingredients prepared with pride and wonderful skill. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. The prices are more than fair! Right up to our leaving the restaurant, we were treated like valued customers.(Big Plus in my book!) This is a Family owned and operated restaurant. They ALL make an effort to ensure that you have a satisfying experience. Without any question, the next time that we are in the area we will visit again!

Whenever I travel, I seek out a Thai restaurant. I still haven’t found better Thai food anywhere else. The atmosphere is a bit«meh» but the food quality and the customer service more than make up for it.

What a great Thai place in our small town. Gracious service, with a staff who loves children. Great menu offerings. The traditional Pad Thai is great, but my favorite is the Drunken Squid — spicy and full of marinated invertebrate! A safe choice for the less adventurous, while still offering options for the culinarily risky. Take out is quick and in generous portions as well.

Had dinner here on a Friday night with my teenage kids. They both had Pad Thai, I had the Massaman curry with white rice. Chang beer to drink, rangoons for an app, everything was very good. Service was quick, nice interior, very friendly staff. Busy night in Keene with a marathon registration happening across the street, but we found parking 3 minutes away. We’ll be back!

Let’s start with consistency. We have been coming here for almost fifteen years and it is always the same: gracious and professional service; clean dining area; food that looks and taste as always. Speaking of food, Thai Garden does a great job operating from a «standard» Thai menu. It is mainstream but features that nice balance of pungency, sweet, salt, and heat. But for my money, they could do more with the heat. Perhaps offer some sauces and condiments that you might find in Thai restaurants where there is denser interest in Thai food. The good news about the menu is that if you have visited a few Thai places this will feel familiar. Pad Thai has that nice pungency with a little sweet kick. Curries have great, complex flavors. Noodle dishes are well prepared, with the noodles having a bit of chew and never clumpy. The basil and chili sauce dishes have a nice kick. Nam Sod is a great«off the beaten path» choice, almost Esan in taste and presentation. I wish for more appetizer choices, especially if wishing to linger, share, or experiment. All in all its not just the food but the experience. Thai Garden delivers on both.

Mid-week lunch that confirmed the many good reviews for the Thai Garden. Staff were pleasant and attentive, food arrived within about 10 minutes, and it was exceptionally good. Thai is one of my favorites and of all the restaurants I’ve tried this is one of the best with better prices than many. The only criticism I would offer is about the somewhat limited menu — not as extensive as seems usual for good quality Thai restaurants. For example, they have shrimp, scallops and squid available in dishes, but no ‘seafood’ section.

Never had this sort of experience till now of all the restaurants I visited! We ordered vegetarian pad thai and clearly mentioned«no eggs, no meat». Once we got our food, I ate couple of bites and figured out that it had fish so I couldn’t eat the rest. Believe me, it happened to me many times till now when a restaurant accidentally served meat and they generally feel bad for making me eat meat! I don’t care and make fun about it because people make mistakes. This time it was completely different. When we asked the owner whether it had fish in it, she started defending herself even before answering the question! I am surprised how someone can be very rude to their customers they are making money of! Damn you should have seen the look on my friends face, he was so pissed off. He would have fired that place up if I didn’t stop him! I never rated a restaurant one star till now, glad that Thai Garden deserves my first one star! Not going back again.

served us in their in-between hours, when technically they weren’t supposed to be open. so nice. the whole chorus of thai ladies welcoming us in with voices as cheery and guileless as a band of kittens. the food was perfect. delicious yellow curry in a heated crock with jasmine rice on the side. nice spicy kick, good vegetable variety. my favorite Thai dish besides pad Thai. quiet, cool ambience, fair prices, and again, generous service from truly kind people. will totally come back here next time I’m in keene.

We went for dinner the other night and parked right outside the restaurant. As we were entering, another couple was leaving and we asked them if the food was good. They said it was fantastic, and then the husband went back in and called the owner over and told him we were good friends of his and to take care of us. Well, they definitely took care of us. From the time we sat down until our food arrived, there was always one of the family members running the restaurant refilling our water, bringing our appetizer, chatting with us, etc. The food was great. My wife considers herself a «super taster» and she loved everything. I’m not a super taster, but I liked my dish the Basil and Garlic Chicken. The Pad Thai was a little bland to me, but I don’t really like it anywhere my wife orders it. Overall the service was spectacular and the food was great. We’ll be back here again.

One of my favorite restaurants in Keene, and the best Thai I’ve had in my life so far. We go here for special occasions and it’s always a great experience. I love their chicken pad see ew(I try to make it myself at home, which is always a horrible failure compared to Thai Garden’s), crab rangoons, and Thai iced tea. My boyfriend always gets the pineapple fried rice. I took my family here too, who are really picky and un-risky eaters whose Asian culinary experience is limited to Chinese take-out, and they really enjoyed as well.

Great Thai food in the Keene area! Service is great, our water was NEVER empty, and the food was very tasty. I enjoyed the Thai iced tea, Tom Young Koong soup, and Drunken noodle with beef instead of chicken, and my husband enjoyed his Pad Thai. My Drunken Noodle was supposed to be very spicy, and I felt it lacked in that area, but it was still tasty. My husband’s Pad Thai had a great taste even though it all looked like it was one color… interesting I guess… but if you’re looking for a variety of colors in your food then maybe try a different dish? Place was filled with people, and if you’re in the mood for Thai, then I would recommend stopping downtown and checking it out.
