Quality Suites

I’ve had a terrible experience with this hotel. My family came in for my wedding this past weekend, and I’d reserved a block of several rooms for them about two months out. Nobody at QS seemed to know what anyone else was doing, they were never able to find my reservation, and when the bill came due they had charged my family more than they quoted me, as well as charging me IN ADDITION to the bill for those who stayed there. The manager said he’d follow up with me the next morning, and a week later, he still hasn’t followed up. So very disappointed in this hotel. Made my wedding week much more stressful.

Went on a road trip with a friend. We’re from California. 11 hour drive for us. We checked in Saturday at 4am. We got two suites. One with a hot tub one with a wet bar. Both very nice! We enjoyed the hot breakfast every morning (3 mornings). Same breakfast there’s scrambled eggs, sausage links and gravy for biscuits. And of course you can make yourself a waffle. All juices to drink cranberry, apple, orange etc. milk, muffins cereals. I think they should change the hot food a bit maybe bacon on other days lol. But anyhow the sausages are very tasty my friend would eat 8 every morning. The beds are very comfy! The whole room is nice and clean. One night we were drinking in the wet bar suite. the front desk girl got me a salt knife and plate i thought that was nice! On another occasion we went in the pool which is indoor and heated! As soon as we were there the front desk girl took us towels. The breakfast ladies especially one was not friendly not even greet you or smile. Both of them do their job right but are not very friendly which is a must. Even though they seen us 3 mornings not a smile or greet. Would return loved this hotel!

Not sure why this hotel does not have better ratings.
it is one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at, and I travel weekly.
We only stayed because other hotels had no vacancy.
I will return here anytime I visit the Salem Kaiser area

Clean, comfortable enough rooms, although their idea of «suite» is just a normal room with a low wall between a couch and a bed. Not good if you are trying to separate kids and parents or something similar. One faucet had hot water on the opposite side, and the bathroom was quite small. The only large problem we had was that when we ushered my aged grandmother into her room, all the pillows were still stripped of their pillow cases, and when we asked the nice concierge she discovered they were completely out of pillowcases, so my grandmother had to resort to putting sheets over the unsheathed pillows. I think we should have gotten a discount at the very least.

I love a good hotel that has breakfast! And not just a bag of bagels, a toaster that hasn’t been cleaned in 2 years and frozen cream cheese lying out. Oh and some granola bars maybe… No! This place had it all! Cereals, oatmeal, yogurts, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles… I’m sure I am missing something. Oh! And hot coffee, tea. So that was a huge plus and they get points in that area.
I took off some points because, well, my cousin found a sock in her bed on our first night there which means they didn’t change the sheets. My deducting points are all on housekeeping…
Other than that, the front staff was friendly! We made good use of the pool (I suggest the pool stay open later?) and breakfast :) It was conveniently close to a lot of stores in the area and it was close to our family whom we were visiting on this trip. And there is free wi-​fi, always a good way to win me over.
However, I am mixed on recommending Quality Suites. If they can do something to keep a closer eye on housekeeping, I would recommend. But if not changing the sheets is the norm around here, I would have to say go somewhere else… (The next few days we made sure we were in the room when they came so we could see they changed the sheets).

Don’t do it. While the accommodations are pretty good, the business practices are shady. I’ve stayed at this hotel for years while traveling for business. Never had a problem. But this past year, they’ve become a train wreck.
There are two young gentleman who work the desk and they are stellar! Yet, the rest of the staff is rude and snotty. Especially the manager.
You now have to call the reservation line to reserve a room. They never have the same rate available as staff quotes for business travelers. You have to walk in to the hotel to get the business rate, hoping the hotel has availability. This is not good practice when you have people traveling from hundreds of miles away.
Then they overcharged my coworker by over $ 100 on her credit card then took over a week to correct the issue. The manager was patronizing and outright rude, blamed my coworker for their error and blatantly lied. So after over a decade of doing business with this hotel on a near monthly basis, I’m done. I won’t stay again. I’m sure they’ll start to see many other employees from our agency follow suit.

I chose this hotel because it was conveniently located near my place of business. I found the rates to be in line with accommodations. It was exactly what I needed for my two week stay. I will stay here again during future business trips.

Stayed here for a week while visiting family. for thanks giving. Not a bad location. Center of town and easy access to major roadways. Room was clean, but bland. nice sitting area with desk and couch to watch TV. wish there would have been a TV where the bed was though as I enjoy falling asleep to it. nice, large vanity area outside the bathroom so that way my wife and I did not feel cramped in a small bathroom to get ready. Breakfast was better than most complementary ones. Waffles, eggs, sausage, fruits, etc. overall we would stay here again when visiting family.

Last weekend I had a last minute change in where I was staying. I made a call to Quality Inn and they were super helpful in helping me make my reservation at a decent rate! I spoke with Stephanie on the phone and she was so helpful to tell the gal coming in after her that I would be coming, so they saved me a room. Upon arrival, I was extremely exhausted and suffering from back pain. Vanessa, who was the manager at the des, went out of her way to help me get settled in for the evening by helping me with my bags to my room. She went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of, even so far as to move her car so that I could park near the door, since the nearest handicapped spots were all taken! I’ve stayed in many hotels over the years, and this was mind blowing to me and epic customer service!
My room was perfect. Though some would complain at the sheer size of it, I was more than happy. It had a very comfortable king size bed, the room was conveniently located next to the elevator, the bathroom was clean, towels fresh, a desk and chair to make my study time conducive for homework, free wifi, and free breakfast in the morning. There was also a tv, but I never got around to using it. There was a fridge, microwave, hair dryer in bathroom, alarm clock, plenty of convenient plug ins throughout the room, and the a/​c worked great!
Breakfast in the morning was great! For it being free, it was way more than I anticipated. There were pastries, eggs, biscuits & sausage gravy, sausage links, a waffle maker, cereals, milk, juices, coffee, water, and fruit. I had a quick bite the next morning before diving into my course work.
I needed to extend my stay at the last minute for an extra day, and they were more than helpful to grant me the same room at a decent rate. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit friends in the area! I highly recommend this hotel for the Keizer area, and local surrounding cities.

Housekeeping at the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. We have stayed at this motel many times over the years, even before it became Quality Suites. It has gone downhill. The housekeeping staff has neglected to leave some items, or clean some items when cleaning the room — 2 days in a row our coffee pot was not emptied or cleaned. The third morning there was no coffee at all. On our last day there we left the motel at 9:30am and spent the entire day conducting some business. We came back at 9:30pm to find that housekeeping had not cleaned our room at all! There was no toilet paper, no tissue, no coffee, no clean towels, the bed was unmade. It was totally unacceptable. We called the desk, the young woman brought up everything we needed, apologized and said, «this never happens». Yeah, right. We asked the manager when we checked out for an adjustment to our bill. She was only «authorized» to give us a 10% discount, even though we should’ve gotten one night comped.
Breakfast is ok, the very same things every day. Fresh baked cookies mid afternoon is a nice perk. The desk staff are friendly. We’ve had issues with housekeeping before and it’s not improving.

Put my brother up here. The staff were very nice, the breakfast was really good, No complaints! (most people only report negative reviews, I just want to let people know our experience was really good!)

I stayed here last week during my trip in Oregon, and it was below average. The facility itself was pretty clean, but there definitely could be some upgrades such as the carpet. However, I docked off another star because of the breakfast. The room itself was pretty big; the couch and desk area was separated from the sleeping area, which was nice. The bathroom was standard, and it was nice to have two sinks on the outside of the bathroom so that you could still get rid ready while someone was using the bathroom. However, the air conditioning was slightly bipolar. It was pretty warm, so we turned it down, but then, in the middle of the night, it would get really cold. It just kept on going back and forth between warm and cold and would not keep a constant temperature that was comfortable.
Breakfast is complimentary, but it definitely needs some work. There’s a very limited selection; the only hot food selection are eggs, sausage and gravy. The muffins didn’t look too appetizing either; they looked like muffins from Safeway that had been sitting there for a little too long. I decided to give the waffle machine a try, and I think it was slightly broken, so my waffle didn’t come out as nicely. Also, the batter wasn’t very flavorful. It was super bland; I wish it had a more buttery taste and crispier. I also wish that there was a wider selection of fruit.
The selection isn’t bad because it’s complimentary, but I would expect a little more quality in the food because the eggs and sausages did not look appetizing at all either. It would have been nice if they had something like a custom omelette station.

Except for our exterior windows, everything else was wonderful. The breakfast was delicious. Lobby and pool area clean. Our room was nice with comfy pillows and bed. Oh, and those free cookies at the front desk are addicting. I had head of housekeeping and one of her housekeepers check our windows. They said it was between the double pane windows and/​or outside. The pictures I will be posting are of poor cleaning on the outside. Corporate complaint already made.

I held an business event for 81 here yesterday; the staff, food and rooms for the guests were all wonderful! Thanks Jerry and staff for the incredible luncheon. 81 ladies were extremely happy! Kudos to the staff.

Oversold their rooms, so they gave a room with one bed when we reserved a room for 4. No roll always. The front guy isn’t even trying. Room is banged up. Will not stay here again.

I reserved a block of rooms for my daughters wedding 7 months in advance. Now we are having guests call and they are being told there are no rooms reserved. Turns out, they did not block the rooms even though we had a confirmation number and everything. Will never, ever stay here! We are now staying at the LaQuinta where they had no problem helping us out!

This is one of the places that I stay when I’m back in the area for work, and I have to say I was quite surprised by the previous reviews. I, for one, have not had a bad experience here ever. Staff has always been welcoming and friendly and the rooms have always been comfortable and clean. I get some of the best nights sleep on the beds here.
I will say that I don’t use the pool, so no opinion there. The breakfast in the morning appears to have quite a few options, though I’ve only had coffee and yogurt myself. I tend to visit local coffee shops in the AM’s for my morning routine.
I do know that they’ve been updating the motel for some time since changing to the Quality, so perhaps they are going through some growing pains. I do like the new electronic keyless entry for the doors! Less chance of getting that unlucky demagnification on the key card needing to walk back to the front desk for a fix! :)

The management is uneducated in hotel management. All the managers have been trained by a series of uneducated managers. Patrick did go to college, but dropped out soon after starting. The uneducated ones don’t want any managers with an education hired in fear of losing a promotion to an educated person. Their so called «Chef» has not been to school to become a chef; so he’s just a cook. You can tell by the service and condition of this hotel I am telling the truth. Until the owners hire real managers, this will remain a dive. I have stayed here, worked here, and know many past employee’s from here and on each visit it just goes down hill.

Terrible!

This is a very dirty hotel. Carpets in the halls and elevator are filthy. Carpets and furniture in the room was not much better. Pretty disgusting. The only redeeming quality was the comfortable bed.
