History

Established in 1991.

Masters Flooring opened its first showroom in Keller back in 1995, and has been Keller’s dedicated flooring store ever since.

Our showroom is located off South Main St. (377) in Keller, and features a wide-​variety of products to chose from– including: Carpet, Rugs, Prefinished hardwoods, tile/​natural stone, laminate, and Granite countertops.

We offer free estimates, and encourage customers to take home as many samples as they need.

Mike Masters founded Masters Flooring Company, Inc. in 1991 with a focus on the sales, installation and repair of hardwood floors. In 1993, MF settled into its present day home in Keller, Texas. By that time, Masters Flooring had expanded its business to include the sales and installation of carpet and ceramic tile. The first retail store opened in 1995. We further expanded in 2005 with the addition of our Fort Worth showroom.

We just installed about 1200 SF of engineered hardwood in our downstairs and Melissa and Mychaela (?) were extremely helpful and patient in helping us get exactly what we wanted for our home, and very close to our budget. They made us feel like our job was as important as if they were doing their own homes. The 3 man crew had to move alot of furniture around over the 3 days. They never once complained and always treated our furniture with gentleness and great care. They patiently answered questions and were very willing to do things a little differently if we wanted, while giving their opinion in case we wanted to know what they thought. Their clean up was impeccable, detailed and painstaking. The result was much more than I had hoped for, having walked on bad flooring jobs before done by other flooring companies. I will recommend Masters Flooring to friends without reservation. I hope they made a good buck on us because they deserve every penny of it.

My house had a pipe break under the slab and we had to renovate our entire first floor due to a really bad leak. Our beautiful hardwood had to be ripped up. Drywall was cut to find the source of the leak along with jack hammering through concrete in the kitchen and laundry room leaving HUGE gapes in the floor for weeks. The plumbers we hired left our house in complete shambles. We got some bids from professional flooring companies to put our home back together and decided to go with Masters flooring and I’m glad we did!
The very day I called Masters, Julie was at my house within an hour to take measurements. I knew that day I’d probably hire them because that impressed me. We got an estimate on our project pretty quickly and it just went from there.
She recommended an amazing painting company, Ben Moore Painters, who made our house look brand new!
While the project took longer than anticipated due to waiting on subcontractors (granite), I would hire them again for future flooring needs.
This company responds quickly, is attentive to the customers requests, extremely patient, and takes pride in their finished product. I highly recommend them.

Two trusted colleagues urged us to check out Masters Flooring for an upcoming home improvement project. They referred us to Melissa, who was well-​prepared with options and recommendations when I finally met her in person. Basically, we needed to remove all flooring installed by the home builder over ten years ago. We hoped to upgrade from «all carpet» to a combination of hardwood and better-​quality carpet. Melissa understood our wants, needs, and desires very clearly and worked within those guidelines. No pressure, no upselling, no nickel-​and-​dime games. She measured the rooms precisely, and presented three different proposals (varying proportions of hardwood and carpet). We appreciated that everything was spelled out in easy-​to-​understand, unambiguous terms. Once we made our decision, the flooring crews were scheduled. First was the hardwood crew, followed by the carpet crew two days later. Both crews were fantastic: Arrived on time, courteous, knowledgeable, and very skilled. It says a lot when a crew has been working together so long, they function as a tight-​knit team. The process flowed seamlessly. No time was lost. Mike, the owner, got in touch with me during the project to make sure we were pleased. Definitely appreciated that personal communication — you have to love local small businesses for that! The house was cleaned of scraps and debris after the installation was completed. Very impressed with the whole process, from concept to completion. We’re grateful to those who gave us the great word-​of-​mouth recommendation; I’m happy to pass along the favor and write this review.

I would like to say that our encounter with Masters Flooring went very smooth. Melissa came out and measured, brought some great samples to choose from and was very professional. The work crew that came out was wonderful. Jose and his crew came in and got the job done, they were very knowledgeable about laying floors. The crew was very courteous and cleaned up all materials and debris. I would use this company again.

The final result was pretty good, but the ordeal was inexcusable. There is poor communication and oversight for the work. We had to delay our move twice. I chose a locally owned business that specialized in flooring because I needed them to match an existing hand scraped oak floor. The first floor that they installed used wood that was not the same grade that was in our home. We were pleased that they agreed to tear it out and start again, evidently because they did not feel that they could redeem the job that was done.
We rescheduled our move. When we arrived to inspect the second installed flooring after they were supposed to be finished, It did not appear that they had been varnished. After I called them, they agreed to send someone out and did additional work for several hours and then, magically, they looked like the other flooring. This resulted in another delay as the varnish had to dry for another 2 days.
They did not send the trim person out until we reminded them — a week after the move was complete when MANY of the baseboards were covered with heavy furniture. The floors turned out well, but I think there could have been more concern showed toward our schedule, job oversight, and better communication.

It’s always a bit stressful to replace flooring: it’s relatively expensive, the process is disruptive, and you live with results a long time. That’s why it’s CRITICAL to have the right people on your side.
I had previously had my home measured and quoted by a big-​box retailer, but my experience just to get measured, plus the horrible «nickel and diming» the quote reflected (a charge to move each piece of furniture, you are allotted three bags of grout, if you need more… etc, etc…) Well, I really didn’t have a very good feeling about them. So I went shopping.
That’s when I found Masters Flooring. Their selection is great… I am certain that I got a better product at a better price, but that’s not the big story here: it’s their crew.
I had tile that looks like wood installed. The crew was professional and as high as my expectations were (I am fairly… exacting) they exceeded. The guys really knew what they were doing, and ensured everything was perfect.
What more could I ask for?

Had master flooring install hand scraped hardwood throughout the house. Was on a short timeframe as we were moving in. They did an incredible job and was done well within the time frames they promised. The owner, Mike, was in constant contact to insure I was satisfied with work. Will recommend and use again.
