«„We know how to teach your child math.“
Our specially trained math instructors will teach your child how to understand
math in an individual setting — our unique approach enables us to effectively
explain math concepts well and lend a helping hand to every student. Our tutors
foster a caring, encouraging environment that helps kids thrive and learn!
„We pinpoint your child’s learning needs, meet them where they are, and take
them where they need to go.“
Mathnasium instructors use our unique assessment process to determine (with
great accuracy) exactly what each child knows and what they need to learn.
Next, we design a customized learning plan for teaching the concepts the student
needs to master. It doesn’t stop there — our encouraging instructors continually
check progress along the way to make sure kids truly understand and retain the
concepts we’ve taught. The results are transformative — kids will see measurable
changes in attitude, confidence, and school progress.
„We will help your child overcome homework frustration.“
Our instructors will also set aside time to provide homework help. We help kids
understand the homework assignment so they feel better prepared to complete
the work at home — underscoring their understanding of concepts and
transforming homework frustration into a welcome challenge.»
History
Established in 2004.
More than 35 years ago, Larry Martinek, creator of the Mathnasium Method™, was inspired to find a better way to teach math. As a teacher in public and private schools, as well as a father to a mathematically gifted son, Nic, Larry possessed a comprehensive view of math education. In his work with both stellar and struggling math programs, he identified a common theme in math instruction — a vast disconnect between students’ learning skills and the curriculum they were expected to master. Larry decided to find an approach that would provide students with the strong mathematical foundation they needed to succeed. The solution would be to identify students’ current skill levels and propel them forward by teaching them math in a that makes sense to them.
Larry assembled and developed a blend of methods and materials that had proven highly effective for students of all ages in his years as an educator. The Mathnasium Method was born. Instead of relying on memorization and repetition.

Carl K.
Business Owner
Keller resident and parent of teenagers in Keller schools, Carl Keating has answered a life long calling of firmly planting in a community. Having spent over 30 years in the retail industry, most recently as Vice President for Kohl’s Department Stores, Carl felt it was time to make a contribution back to the community his family fell in love with. Coming from a family of educators, Carl realized that owning and operating a Mathnasium Learning center offered all he was looking for. A chance to share his love for math, an opportunity to fulfill his desire to teach and operate a great business model, Carl realized a dream come true. Working closely with KISD schools, impacting kids in math enrichment and remediation, and working closely with the Keller community, is a dream realized for Carl.
