NHCS is a licensed, quality preschool program with before/​after care. Our preschool program runs from 8:30 am — 2:30 pm Mon-​Fri, with before-​care at 7:00 am and after-​care ending at 6:00 pm. We serve Willis Ln and Shady Grove schools (pickup and after-​care only) for K-​2^nd grade students.

Each of our classes has a defined daily schedule which includes pre-​reading, language arts, pre-​math, music, art, physical development, and Bible stories. Age appropriate playground activities, indoor large motor skills and Music and Science enrichment programs are also included.

SUMMER

During the summer, rather than offering «preschool,» we operate a 10-​wk summer camp, Mon-​Thur 9 – 3. We continue to provide before/​after care and Friday care for our full-​time families. In addition to preschool ages, we have a school-​age class for students who have completed K-​2^nd grade which is taught by a CERTIFIED elementary school teacher.

History

Established in 1997.

NHCS was opened in its current location as soon as New Hope Lutheran Church built here and moved in. It was the vision of the founding Pastor and congregants to provide a quality Christian Preschool program that was available to working families by being open for extended hours and during holiday breaks.

We continue to operate in this manner. We are first and foremost a School that offers before and after care, rather than a daycare that offers school activities.

I have been a part of New Hope Christian School in a variety of roles, since 2001. As Director, it is my role to provide support to the staff and families so that together we create the best environment for our little ones to learn and grow.

I believe that safety and security is of the utmost importance because parents need to trust that their child is in good hands while they are apart. After that, so many things are important. We learn about God and Jesus’ love; About making friends, how to be kind and love each other, how to follow routines, what the expectations are within our learning environments, and always… we are having SO much fun while learning!!!
