Service was absolutely great. Every employee in the store made sure that I was being helped or at least asked. Most employees are knowledgeable with the equipment which brought great confidence in their recommendations for products I was looking for.

Nice guys. Knowledgeable service and low key approach. Worked with Tom. We are new to cameras and were buying a quality entry level DSLR for my son. They did a nice job and my son was very happy. A quick check of Costco online prices showed a better package deal for the same camera. Tom matched it and we kept the business with a local shop. Definitely recommend and do check prices versus online.

These guys are awesome! Tom H was particularly awesome! He helped me get exactly the camera setup I was needing, not necessarily what I went in thinking I needed, but actually the ‘right’ one. Tom was no pressure — all help when it came to deciding on the actual body of the camera. Once we looked through models from a few different manufacturers, I settled on a Canon and am SO stoked on it. He helped me with a few lens options and also a desktop studio. Even if you can find it for slightly less money through online pump-​up-​the-​volume distributors, it’s better to support your local shop. And when the service is this awesome, it makes for an easy choice. Plus you can hold and feel the cameras, something I drastically underestimated before going in.
Tom’s last advice to me was, «no matter what, don’t get frustrated if you don’t get it right at first… just keep playing.» Don’t worry Tom, I took your advice and am enjoying the setup a ton. It’s perfect! Thank you sir.

I bought a lens here a while back and to say the least I’m pretty disappointed. I trusted the sales representative on the advice he was giving me regarding what each lens was for (wide angle, marco, etc) because at the time I was an extremely inexperienced and unknowledgeable on photography equipment. Now that I can understand my tools more I know that what he sold and recommended to me was not at all what I was looking for at the time. It’s quite pitiful when you act like you know what you’re talking about and sell an unsuspecting person a random lens that is no where near even related to the lens they were seeking out. Yes, I should have done better research on my own and that’s my fault but its beyond me that someone would act knowledgeable just to get a sale… the whole thing has left a bad taste in my mouth.

A superb camera store! Excellent selection of new and used equipment, excellent SLR sensor cleaning services, extremely knowledgeable patient sales staff. Easy to check out a wide range of equipment firsthand in-​person as well as get lots of great input. In this day and age where brick-​and-​mortar businesses have new challenges with online merchants, I’m so happy to see that Kenmore Camera has moved from the smaller store down the street to their newer larger superstore. Given their kind exceptional service I have experienced over the years at both stores, their continued growth and success is not surprising. Thanks Kenmore Camera!

This store moved recently a couple block away from the original. It is huge! You walk in like a kid in a candy store. i walked in for an SD card and left with a new DSLR. Very helpful staff. Only gave them 4 stars because the guy who sold me my camera lost my lens cap. Fun place to spend countless hours and cash!

My studio team and myself came here to buy lenses for our respective Nikons and Canons and we were given the utmost in camera nerd treatment.
They have a great selection of both new and used equipment. Of course, we just happened to be there when their best customer of 40 years or so was dumping off a shitload of stuff.
And for some reason, on a super rainy day, a ton of customers poured in right before closing time and the staff didn’t make us feel like we all had to be herded out like cats. We were all given patient and thorough attention.
Looking forward to coming here for my future needs as well as taking a class here to learn more about my camera.

I would not recommend buying leica equipment here. The salesman grudgingly let me test out a leica summicron 35 mm and before I had taken more than 3 shots he grabbed the camera from me saying the $ 6000 lens was too much for me to use. For one thing he was pretty rude and for another he wasn’t even knowledgable. The black summicron 35 mm runs for $ 3150 not $ 6000. Go to the leica store in the Bellevue square mall. They let you play with any body and lens for as long as you want. I ordered my summicron there and was very happy with how friendly their service was (they didn’t look down their nose at me assuming I couldn’t afford the equipment which is more than I can say for kenmore camera). Used to be a customer of kenmore. Not anymore.

These guys are so thorough in the education they provide that they need a husband couch for laypeople like me.

I live in Seattle and looked around for camera stores on Unilocal but every nearby one had terrible reviews. Decided to drive the 30 minutes to Kenmore and it was very worth it.
Was helped out by someone who knew what would be best for my needs, didn’t feel like I was being upsold. Price was better than amazon by $ 40, that never happens!
They have all the nice gear here, and even well stocked on Ona bags.
As far as I’ve been able to research and visit, this is the best Camera store in Seattle. Wish it were closer!

I just love this place and I’m not sure if I reviewed them before but I had the best most patient sales people try to assist me with my questions. Unfortunately they did not carry the item I need but I will always come to them for other camera purchases.

KC has moved into their newer location and now carries a limited amount of Olympus gear, so bravo :) Up a star. Not willing to negotiate on price so I’ve wound up purchasing from a well-​known New York brick/​mortar store (I still pay sales tax since these are business expenses in WA state). But if i had to have something TODAY this is where I go.

Kenmore used to be a very respectable camera store with lots of high end gear and a super knowledgeable and friendly staff. Unfortunately they’ve gone downhill over the years and have changed the nature of the store shifting from carrying high end pro gear to catering to MWACs (moms with a camera). At this point it seems like they’re just slightly better than Kitz camera and we all know how those stores are doing.
If you want great gear these days you have to go to Glazer’s in Seattle or mail order from B&H or Adorama.

We had a really great experience at Kenmore, even though we didn’t end up buying anything. Their inventory exceeds B&H Camera in Seattle and they have a large inventory of bags, lenses, tripods, lights, cameras, and so forth — basically anything you’d need as a professional or amateur photographer. Their inventory happily includes some more elusive brands like Ona who makes beautiful camera bags.
The service here is great and people acknowledge your presence. They’re also pretty helpful once they make eye contact and try to help you find whatever you’re looking for (in-​store or online), share knowledge and help educate you on corresponding brands, what has worked for them or doesn’t work, and so forth. I enjoyed browsing the store and will definitely be back!
My one complaint would be: Why is it so far away from the city of Seattle?! nnNnnNnOoOooOo

This is a must visit store if you’re a serious about photography, whether profession or an amateur such as myself. I’m revisiting the SLR and went digital, and wanted considerably more than my point-​and-​shoot phone. But since cameras are being simplified to point-​and-​shoot, stores that cater to all that miscellaneous stuff for your hobby or career are dying out. Best Buy and their Reek Squad can piss off with their minimal selection. And if you’re as impatient as me, you want your stuff now.
Kenmore Camera solved my problem. And if you’re in the Eastside, you better find this place.
LOCATION: A block NW of Hwy 522 and 68^th Ave NE/​Juanita Dr NE.
STORE: It’s huge for a camera only phone store.
PARKING: Plenty of lot parking.
PRODUCT SELECTION: These guys had what I needed. They even have a used section, too.
SERVICE: When I went in they were very busy and all of the workers were helping the customers. I didn’t have to wait long. The guy knew what he was selling.
PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE: I really have to emphasize this. Stores like Best Buy and Target will not have what you need to complete your camera kit and they will not know this. I’ve wasted time trying to replace accessories and their worker bees, goddess bless these tech geeks filling in the bottom of the pyramid, will not know much about what you need or where to find it.
PRICING: Fair.

We came to Kenmore based on Unilocal reviews and a professional photographer friends recommendation.
Kenmore did not let us down — we dealt with a new young employee (first day on the job) — but has been to photography school and worked other camera stores. He helped us get the best deal — I asked him about comparison to COSTCO on the Nikon D7100. They completely matched COSTCO prices plus spent considerable time with us.
They unpacked the camera and set up all the basic settings plus gave me a mini course in getting started. They also took one of my older extra lenses in as trade and applied it against the new cost.
When I was about to buy a updated tripod, they showed me a better one that was on sale.
I felt that they had the patience to answer all my questions (and I have a lot), have the product on hand that I needed and everything was at a great price.
They also sponsor the largest Photo Expo on the West Coast. Spent a lot of money today but I am happy.

I went in expecting to spend a lot on a SLR body alone, then wait till I could afford the lens I desired, a lot more money.
Steve M. Keene was of the most help as I could ask. He explained that what I was asking for in the way I thought I had to go would cost me an exorbitant amount of money. Not sure who has that kind of money. I showed him my current camera, a power shot sx-​260, which is very impressive.
Steve then turned me on to the Power Shot SX50-​HS, I was very impressed with both the camera and Steve’s ability to know what the customer needs. Steve grabbed me a cheap camera bag, paid the very affordable bill, and we were on our way.
I am VERY HAPPY with my purchase, and the amount of care and direction on Steve’s /​Kenmore Cameras part is unheard of today.
Now a very loyal customer.
