What a great place .
We booked this place for 2 nights and liked it to so much there that we extended our trip .
It was beautiful, cozy, clean and the staff was very very friendly .
It is in a very quiet and nice area just a few walk minutes away from «the center».
There is a very nice and clean pool area and they also offer free bikes to rent .
I can just recommend this place :)

Aimed at young families (outdoorsy types) — If you fall into that bracket then I can’t see any reason not to award it 5 stars as they had a heated pool, campfire, games room, movie room — basically everything you need to tire your offspring out.
The lodge area itself was very pretty and calm, a veritable child free zone, so this is where I spent most of my time reading (the weather wasn’t great).
All interactions with staff were really positive and had a genuinely good stay, not aimed at ‘couples’ as such… but a ‘couple’ can have a great stay!

My GF and I stayed this weekend for 3 days. It’s about a mile to downtown Kennebunkport. The place has about 30 rooms 3 buildings. A main building on a tidal river with a restaurant and pool. A Retro type place with a clubhouse with lots of games and a record player. A nightly fire. Ping pong table by the pool that we had lots of fun with. Rooms were large and very clean. They had bikes and beach chairs to take for the day. All the staff we dealt with were great.
