The people who came to help me move my stuff into the truck were great, absolutely lovely. I would give THEM five stars.
From there, I don’t know what happened but whoever actually packed everything onto pallets to be shipped is a complete idiot. Almost every box I received at the other end of the journey was ripped open and collapsed because heavier boxes had been stacked on top of lighter ones. This caused pretty much every box to collapse and all of its contents to spill out on the ground when we tried to handle and move them. I bought heavy duty boxes from Home Depot for this trip so I don’t think it can be blamed on the boxes themselves. Some of my clothing and other items were utterly destroyed in the move because of this.
When we contacted the person in charge of the company about the damage, which was hundreds of dollars worth, they basically told us to F off, too bad.
The boxes also arrived about a week later than promised which wasn’t cool.
