Surprisingly good for Airport food. My daughter and I had the Gumbo and my wife had the Wedge salad. This rating is supposed to be judged against other airport food and not upscale gourmet restaurant.

There aren’t many restaurant choices in this airport and I am keeping in mind that this is airport food so I can’t expect too much but… I just wasted $ 21. Ordered a shrimp poboy, garden salad and Coke. Coke was the only edible item. Returned the salad bc half of it was rotten and the dressing was simple Italian supermarket stuff. Sandwich was not rotten but the tomatoes were and the shrimp was waaaay too salty and bitter(I’m guessing the bitterness is from old frying oil) bread was stale too. Took one bite, grabbed the Coke and got out of there. If you’re hungry, buy airplane food — it will be a lot better than this stuff.

This place sets the benchmark for how many f!(&$ an establishment couldn’t give. The place was empty with at least a dozen tables open and line out front waiting to be seated. People were walking away frustrated but I time to kill. After a 10 minute wait to be seated, I got to sit at my table for another 8 minutes before a server arrived. Food was mediocre and priced about average for airport fare. It worth a stop if you have the time just for the comical display of how little people care about your business.

What can you say, it’s a restaurant inside an airport. If it was at ANY other airport, it would be a very good restaurant. But with it being in New Orleans, it’s a hard act to keep up with. I was waiting for my flight to Chicago and I heard a guitar and harmonica player entertaining the patrons. I went to Ye Olde College Inn and I ordered the Crawfish Delacroix and the dish was very tasty, although the crawfish was more crumbles than whole pieces. After listening to a few songs, I recognized the music and realized that the gentleman was Dale Spalding from Canned Heat. That was certainly a very pleasant surprise, being a fan and it probably influenced my review, but if you do have time before your flight, stop by for a decent meal and great music!

Wow, don’t know what other people ate but we had the smoked Boudin sausage and it was actually one of the best meals we had in new Orleans! Speed aggressively and very well! Hands down one of the best hollandaise sauces I have ever had! Good service too. May be the chef today but this was an epic meal!

Geeeeez!!! Why can’t run down tired old restaurants in airports be forced to remodel their cafes!!! This place is just gross. The food is over priced but not nearly as much as the Cheeseburger café around gates D10. They charge a whopping $ 7.00 for a bagel w/cream cheese. I had the Breakfast Platter and it was $ 13.15 for 2 eggs, bacon and something called grits. I thought grits were creamy and tasty!!! These were big clumps of sand with butter. The bacon smelled like it looks on the farm. You can’t avoid it because your options are extremely limited at this airport. Eat here or basically don’t eat. Happy travels.

Stuck at the airport for a four hour delay really glad I found this great restaurant first place I could get something not deep fried and without a nice creamy sauce that blows my diet if you’re ready for a change after all the great New Orleans food try the healthy gulf fish dish here it’s a nice clean fish fillet with a healthy tomato vinaigrette. Plus great service!

Bad service and mediocre food. Will try something else if I’m at this airport again. Caesar salad was not that great.

Generally speaking, if you’re in New Orleans, eating at the airport is the last thing you should do. There is so much good food in this city, and it’s a shame to miss out on even a single meal in the city itself. I would never do it, if my wife wasn’t determined to ruin my life. For various reasons(rest assured, all of them my wife’s fault), we had to eat at the airport. I had rock bottom expectations for Ye Olde College Inn, and happily, they blew those out of the water. We shared the lemon thyme chicken, and a caesar salad. It was better than the expected, inedible dreck that I was fully prepared to throw in my wife’s face. It was pretty fresh and even well-cooked. Afterward, I even decided not to divorce my wife over having to eat at the airport.

Mehh. Food at Gate D. It seemed like one of the better options for an airport meal. But alas, turned out to be rather disappointing. 1) Crawfish Delacroix(2⁄5 stars) @ $ 16: Baked gulf fish fillet, steamed white rice, crawfish étouffée Hmm… not fresh. Had a slight fishy aftertaste which is a no-no right before a 4 hour flight. I was pretty surprised honestly, since all the seafood I’ve had my entire trip at New Orleans have been so incredibly fresh and delicious. To give them some points, the amount of étouffée was in proportion to the amount of rice served. 2) Smoked Boudin(2⁄5 stars) @ $ 10: Smoked boudin link, poached farm egg, roasted pepper hollandaise Definitely the least good tasting boudin of my NOLA trip. It was mushy, and slightly heavy/greasy. No good. The waitress was very nonchalant. Had a frown on her face the entire time she was ringing me up. Also surprising — I had good service almost everywhere else. There are TV’s inside and a full liquor bar. Probably not going to eat here again for my next trip. Overpriced, below-average food.

Get a snack at one of the little shops in this terminal if you’re really hungry and SKIP this place. I wish I bothered Unilocaling this one prior and avoided the place entirely. I had to flag down a waitress — they were busy chatting up front. I ordered the eggs and bacon with grits, and got them with potatoes. The eggs were cold and plasticky and so was the bacon. Not remotely fresh or tasty at all. I had to flag down the waitress again to get her to take my money and bring me the change. She was so slow and apathetic… just totally could not give a f… Totally bad experience. Eat at your destination.

Delicious food, not just for the airport but in general. The interior is pretty large with ample seating, and the staff is very friendly here. They have a good beer and cocktail selection. The food: –Appetizer Blu Fried Oysters — Perfectly fried, great texture and not dry, comes topped with blue cheese, to give it that extra tang. –Fried Green tomato Shrimp Remoulade — All around delicious. The fried green tomatoes were tangy and hot in temperature with good breading, while the shrimp were chilled, which is a nice change of pace from the usual po boy where the shrimp is fried and veggies are chilled. –Friend got the Turkey Gumbo which he said was delicious and well flavored. All around great experience, good food, and standard pricing, would come here again when visiting New Orleans.

Fast, friendly service. Fresh, crisp, colorful garden salad. The shrimp on the shrimp and grits is REALLY good. The grits themselves are just okay.

NPS = 7 Pretty good for airport eats! The crawfish Delacroix. Hmm… delish. The fish has beautiful spark of New Orlean’s kick. The quantity of étouffée served was in perfect proportion to the amount of rice served. Every morsel of rice had the right amount of that delectable blond roux. It makes me happy thinking about it. The waitress was very sweet and pleasant. Really gave off that New Orlean’s chill vibe. Really made you feel like everything’s going to be alright. There’s a couple of tv’s inside, a full liquor bar, and jazz/funk music in the background. Real cool, real chill. This is probably the spot you want to get some beer before your flight if you’re in Gate D. There are no power outlets in the dining area though, so you’ll have to find somewhere else to charge your phone.

So I have pretty low expectations for airport food in general, and this really did seem like the best option at like 7am. But it was a pretty disappointing eating experience. I had coffee, french toast, and bacon. The bacon somehow managed to be both hard and limp at the same time, which was odd. The french toast was ok, but it came with a little prepackaged thing of syrup like you’d get from McDonald’s instead of them providing a bottle of syrup, which was annoying. The coffee was fine. I will say that my server was very nice, but beyond that, I can’t say that anything else about the experience was worthwhile.

Good crawfish omelette and decent service, but expensive. Flight was delayed and needed breakfast, and thus was the only sit-down restaurant in Terminal D. I opted for the crawfish omelette since I didn’t have any crawfish during my trip to the city. For $ 11 it came with a biscuit and homefries. The waitress said it was a 3 egg omelette, but looked smaller. It tasted great though. Nice spice and the mushrooms were good. I also got a side of bacon, but it came out partially burnt. All the food included, it was enough for two meals. The service was… different. My waitress took my order from behind me. I was the only person at my table but she started talking right behind me. At first I didn’t even think she was talking to me. Other than the weird intro, she was very attentive. She even offered me a to-go coffee.

Solid place for a quick meal before a flight. We were just about to leave New Orleans and realized we haven’t had enough food yet. Ordered the fried green tomato po’boy with fresh shrimp, the gumbo, and the grits. Gumbo and grits were standard NOLA food. Nothing special to say about the gumbo, it was good. The grits were really lacking in flavor, so I doused them in hot sauce. Highly recommend the po’boy. The fresh shrimp combined with the fried green tomatoes complement each other perfectly. No fried food overload, the perfect combo of fresh and soulful South. Staff was very respectful of our time crunch and quick to serve. Got to our flight on time and happy!
