Babies R Us

This location is not the nicest location I have seen for a Babies R Us (combined with Toys R Us), but what the manager did for us sets this apart. We came here hoping not to have to drive to a Buy Buy Baby for a mother’s feeding room, but we were told that there was no mother’s room at this location since it is combined with a Toys R Us. One of the workers asked the manager just to make sure, and the manager actually let us use her office to nurse our daughter. This was very kind of her, and that set this apart from other «R Us» stores we’ve visited. That type of care for us even before we had mentioned an interest in buying anything at their store is admirable, and we definitely appreciated getting to feed our hungry 7 month old before she had a nuclear meltdown in the car!

Really regretting doing my registry at Babies R Us. The last few times I have been here it has been a struggle to find an employee to help me. Once I walk all around the store (while 8 months pregnant) and finally find someone I receive attitude.
I wanted to purchase a bassinet from my registry but found out it had been discontinued… Isn’t it the company’s job to inform people of this? Once I found a different bassinet to purchase they had none in store, and it had to be ordered online. Doing this in store was an absolute nightmare. It seemed as if no one knew what they were doing. Finally, the cashier handed us a receipt and confirmation sheet telling us when our bassinet would be delivered and we went on our way. Two days later I received an email saying my order had been cancelled because they have not received payment. What? I had a receipt & I definitely ran my card in store. I called the store directly and of course they had no idea what I was talking about and couldn’t even find my order.
I will no longer be shopping here due to the incompetence of everyone that works there. Buy Buy Baby is a much better option at this point and I wish I had done my registry there in the first place!

We appreciate the mother’s room.
There is always a line and never enough cashiers. They call cashiers when the lines get longer. As another reviewer stated, they don’t have enough items in stock.

I am just really struggling to like BRU. I am a loyal BBB shopper but it’s not always convenient for me to go over there. I have tried shopping at BRU on numerous occasions and it has never been a pleasant experience for me.
First time I shopped here the employees were flat out rude to us. We were struggling to find a car seat that would fit in my husband’s small, hatchback car. We asked to try a few seats in his car and the employee working the car seats told us that we shouldn’t even waste our time because nothing was going to fit. Even if that was the case, I think that they should have been willing to at least TRY a few seats so that we could see for ourselves. We ended up going back to BBB where the associates took the time to discuss our options with us for my husband’s car.
The second time I actually bought something — a play mat for my baby — it had some musical features on it and it was broken. Not saying that’s BRU’s fault but it was an inconvenience to have to go back and exchange it.
The last time we were there was to look at jogging strollers. The employees just aren’t that knowledgeable. We were debating between two and I had to educate the employee that was trying to assist us on the different features of the two strollers. Then they were trying to tell us that they didn’t make a car seat adapter for the stroller we are considering when in fact they do. I just think that if you are going to be the «baby gear expert» at a baby store then you should actually know something, at least at a high level, about the gear.
I also do not like the fact that they do not take competitors coupons. More reason to shop at BBB because I always have coupons for there and in the off chance I have a BRU coupon BBB will take that too. When I do get coupons for BRU there are so many exclusions that it barely work on anything.
Overall I think that BRU has had the baby market cornered for so long that they have gotten complacent. Time to step up your game BRU because I have a feeling that BBB is going to be opening more stores and they’re going to eat up a lot of the market share.

I am the favorite «aunt» for several of my friend’s kids. I can handle children; babies-​not so much. Why are you crying? Why do you smell? I expect answers and I certainly don’t want to reach my hand in to a mystery plastic sack wrapped around an exit only area expecting to bring back a clean hand.
I was initially sent here for diapers. Who knew there were over a hundred different kinds. I stood in front of a giant row of diapers the same way a man stares oddly at a row of tampons. The diapers range by weight. Is this what the baby weighs or the mess he makes?
Apparently, I began speaking in a high pitch voice considering I immediately had 2 people that worked in the store helping me out. I knew nothing other than the kids name and a good guess of his weight, as I was using my purse as a referencing tool. Not only were they very helpful but I got a crash course in diapers and the many accessories necessary to clean them. Who knew powder, rash cream and the kind of diaper was such a big deal. You’d think I was shopping for a car!
I walked out with 3 bags of diapers, ranging in a few different sizes, just in case, and one diaper set that looked like jeans! I somehow also got distracted in the clothing and toy section so I managed to spend $ 125.00 on a diaper run.

Yep, another Babies R Us review. I went to this one on a weekend because there was a diaper sale. Even though the store was crowded because of that sale and people registering for gifts, we still had salepeople ask us if we needed any help and they had plenty of registers open. This has been the only Babies R Us out of 3 that consistently stocks the formula we use by the case too.

We went back here recently but its probably for the last time. The traffic on Ernest Barrett Parkway isn’t worth putting up with and it seems like no matter what we are looking for, they never have it in stock. We’ll just go to the Alpharetta location instead, have had much better experiences there.

This BRU is decently sized, well stocked and has good customer service (when you can finally catch up with a sales person). I haven’t had any issues finding the baby items I need from bottles, diapers, pacifiers (even the hard to find WubbaNubs), etc. BRUs do seem to be more expensive then Target or WalMart but I still prefer BRU because of the wide selection I never have to worry about not finding the items I need. Plus the frequent sales and the $ 5 BRU bucks help even the score. With a few additional employees and updated restrooms (why are all the BRU bathrooms crappy?!?) this could be the best of the BRUs.

As good as any babies r us around. Typically staffed well and I was surprised even the highschool age kids working there during the summer were very educated in the products.
