Customer service does not end with a hello and a thank you. It only starts with them. The real customer service is demonstrated when there is a problem and how they respond. The first time we ate there they ran out of Hamachi. It was a Saturday night. They apparently had another fish in the back to be prepped, but they did not want to filet it. We went back a week later(Friday) and we had the same waitress(and she was nice.) She remembered us. We really thought the management would have bought us an appetizer for last weeks inconvenience, but nope. Nevertheless, this time we ordered two of the Hamachi dishes. YUCK! Having eaten sushi for over 30 years we were very sad to see the chef did not cut out the bloodline from the filets. WAYTOOFISHY for the price. Who leaves the bloodline in the fish? We left most of the 2nd plate. We did say something and I pointed out the read bloodline running through the pieces, but a $ 72.00 meal was just not enough to comp 1 dish that we would not eat. The waitress said she was sorry, but it was not her fault. One other thing that bothered me was one of the employees was behind the bar with no hat around the fish. His hair was long and should have been covered. We will look for another sushi restaurant.

You should«roll» on in to sushi bites, next time you’re in the mood for some sushi during lunch time. When you hear $ 10 for unlimited sushi, you may be a little skeptical at first, I definitely was. However, it was awesome. The buffet was well maintained! They would only put out one roll at a time, keeping them covered well, so the sushi would stay fresh. Obviously they did not offer their most expensive options. For example they included california rolls, shrimp rolls, vegetable rolls and chicken rolls. I started off my meal with a delicious salad and with ginger dressing, I skipped the Miso soup, however I am pretty sure it is included with the buffet. They also offer some hot dishes with the buffet, tempura vegetables, tempura calamari, hot avocado rolls and the best part, Teriyaki Chicken and fried rice. I may have tried a few plates of the buffet and I was miserable at work the rest of the day, I’d say it was worth it though. I will definitely be back to sushi bites for the lunch buffet, However, because of this great deal, I probably will never come here for dinner.

This place is great for going to the sushi buffet, but that is the only place where this restaurant shines. If you’re not going to do the sushi buffet, then it’s not worth the trip here. It’s a great little place to taste multiple types of sushi without spending too much, but if you want a sushi dinner or something closer to teriyaki chicken dishes, then i’d go elsewhere. I will say that the tiger sake is amazing, it’s homemade and is one of the best tasting sake drinks I have come across. Staff is OK, and the atmosphere is OK as well, nothing spectacular here.

Sushi Bites is my favorite sushi place in Kennesaw, hands down. I meet friends here who live a good bit away because we love it so much, it’s worth the drive. The service staff is always cheerful and kind. I came here with my friend, who had never been here before and our waitress was extremely helpful showing her around the menu. Our waitress gave great suggestions, and everything came out perfectly. We ended up splitting a few different dishes, and by the end of our meal, we were full and happy. The manager walked around, and came by to greet us and ask us how our meal was. Of course, we said everything was great. I’ve never had any issues with this place, so maybe I’m just extremely lucky by never having problems one of the 4 – 5 times a month that I come here. Every month for the past two and a half years… But you should judge it yourself by stopping by. This place is small, but don’t let that fool you. They know what they’re doing in the kitchen and I’m happy they take the time to hire people that really seem to care and get to know you.

I love this restaurant! Great prices for good quality sushi, and food in general! They have good drinks as well. This is definitely a place I love going to for good food and good times. I always have an amazing experience when I come here. Sushi bites is the best!

Sushi bites is one of my favorite sushi places. It’s not authentic and has American inspired sushi, but that’s why I love it. I even have their phone number saved in my phone for to go orders… Simple rolls and super cheap! I can get full on sushi for under $ 10. Love it there!

I wasn’t really expecting anything amazing from this place after reading the reviews, and yet I was still underwhelmed. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly, but the food was subpar. My girlfriend ordered avocado and Philadelphia rolls, and honestly, how hard is it to screw those up? But she said it was only meh, not much better than grocery store sushi. I was really in the mood for some ramen and was delighted that it was on their menu, but it turned out to be flavorless broth, chicken that tasted as if it came from a can, and randomly giant pieces of cucumber and carrot thrown in. No spice whatsoever. Honestly, I think we would have been better off eating a can of chicken noodle soup and sushi from Publix for a lot less.

Service gets 3.5 stars, a little awkward but generally fast and friendly. Food was mediocre at best. Sushi was just ok, my gf said her ramen tasted like unseasoned chicken noodle soup. Also, it was hotter in the restaurant then it was outside, which is especially unnerving in a place that serves raw fish.

I eat here frequently and I’m suspicious of the negative reviews. I have never had any issues with the wait staff and the management is very friendly. I’ve always found the food fresh and the surfaces clean. I am also boggled by the hate on the rice. I’ve never thought any of the rolls or nigiri had anything other than the right amount of rice. The only thing I can acknowledge is that there are some days when you can tell someone was learning how to prepare the rice, but most days it’s the perfect texture . Some facts /compliments to add: these folks understand my wheat allergy and I have never had issues with cross contamination. I have brought gluten-free tamari and they use it to make a one-off sauce for me. I can usually get such fast service that I have plenty of time to get back to the office on my lunch hour.

My husband took me here for my birthday recently and I absolutely loved it. Everything was so FRESH. I must admit I’m a bit of a sushi snob, and this place really met and exceeded my expectations. The portions were generous, and I arrived with a pretty big appetite. I ordered three different menu items and my husband had an entrée and bowl of soup… which was probably the biggest bowl of noodle soup I’ve ever seen in an Asian/Sushi place. We left the restaurant so full and satiated, and were talking about this place for days. I don’t think there are too many great sushi options OTP and this one is definitely a great find. It’s tucked back from the main road, so not necessarily visible from the otherwise very busy Barrett Parkway… but it’s worth the effort. I’ve also ordered takeout before and had an equally good experience. Not sure why there are any 2 or 3 star reviews on here. I can’t rave enough about how good it was.

The sushi buffet was typical — variable in quality but all fresh and nicely presented. The nigiri were cut a bit too irregularly but the fish was fresh and well-chilled. As an aside, i wish they actually flavored the rice instead of just using sticky white rice — no vinegar, no mirin, just rice. The maki were the usual, with a few nice additions and, to their credit, each plate was labeled with the name of the maki. Also nice was the fact that the maki were not drenched in sauce. The sauces were offered separately. I especially liked the ginger ponzu. My wife ordered the shrimp teriyaki lunch, which was a bit of a disappointment. As others have said, the ginger dressing on the included salad was weak and almost flavorless. The few shrimp were tiny and overcooked. Her other complaint was that there are few dishes available for the non-sushi customer. The service was attentive and the waitress kept our teapot full. We’ll probably return, but my wife will have to find something other than the teriyaki for her lunch.

Let me start by saying, I really wanted to like this spot. A friend suggested it to me. The sushi was ok. The problem was the sushi rice. It was so gummy that it definitely took away from the sushi. It’s been awhile since I actually only finished about 25% of my order. Service was bad and it took forever to get my food. I don’t think I’ll be going back. I’ll stick to my new favorite Sushi Yu just down the street.

Very disappointed tonight. We just arrived at this restaurant which for some reason was freezing cold. We received an appetizer fairly quickly after ordering but then watched two tables that arrived at the same time as us receive all of there food, eat, and pay while we sat and still waited on the rest of our food. After an hour we decided that enough was enough and we told our waitress to cancel the order and pay our tab. The manager did at least comp our appetizer but very poor form for this place. We’re now sitting at Kuroshio where we should have gone in the first place, where we received our food in 10 minutes and it was absolutely delicious.

Service was less than stellar! Just left Sushi Bites for a quick lunch, alone. I had been once before and the service was ok. Today, the service was horrible. I’m not sure if the waitress was having a bad day, but geez! I was seated, at a booth, immediately. She took my drink order while passing me the menu… cool. It took her 20 minutes to come back to take my order; which was super simple… shrimp fried rice. 20 minutes later I see another waitress tell her that she has an order ready for pick up. She quickly sat my plate down in front of me and took off. I ate, then asked for my check as she was passing me to check on the booth behind mine.. She never refilled my drink; nor asked if I needed anything. I saw her cater to other tables but never once checked in on me. HIGHLY disappointed.

First time here. Ordered their special sushi roll«Jan’s special» and was told they were just«too busy» to make it. Two other tables were occupied… So we didn’t get off on the right foot. Ordered a shrimp crunch roll and a fried bagel roll. The Shrimp crunch is good. But the Bagel roll is caked with rice. Image a roll with 3x rice. Then double it. Yes… Way too much rice.

Yuck… dirty resturaunt food on floor. Ice machine needs an inspection water tasted like mold. I realize the score is 91 for a reason. Old wasabi, it was brown and crusty on top. What Restauraunt post all the rules when you open the menu. In your face, that was a turn off from the word go and the pricing was over the top. The sushi was decent, just the price was an issue.

This is my sushi place! The wife and I go frequently on Fridays and I love it. There’s plenty on the menu for the non-sushi lover, too. My wife likes to get their tempura diner I like to get sushi. We both love the fried rice. If you like infused Saki get the tiger bites. Infused with pineapple and it is very smooth. The sell $ 3 smalls on Friday nights! The service is great. We always get James and he really knows the menu and is very attentive.

The first time I came here, the sushi was so good it was like the first time I have ever tried sushi. I challenge you to find a better fried California roll and chicken fried rice! Really… send me your restaurant names! I rarely boast about a restaurant having the«best» of anything to my friends and when I finally crack and tell someone they MUST go experience the(enter random food item here) they go and it’s an awful experience– right, Richard?! With that in mind, I just couldn’t let the delicious sushi go. I couldn’t stop dreaming about the rolls I tried and the great staff. I decided to cave and tell my friends and sure enough, I got 3 friends to come along; I was thrilled! As a way to save time and money we opted for the lunch buffet. While there are a lot of delicious items, my beloved fried California roll didn’t taste the same. I guess fresh makes a difference not to mention the sushi rolls are much smaller than if you ordered off the menu. Despite that sad fact, the lunch buffet still had hibachi style veggies, honey chicken, 15 different kinds of sushi, fried and steamed rice, garlic mushrooms, miso soup and salad with that addictive ginger dressing. Their $ 8.99 lunch buffet can’t be beat but if you’re looking for something more filling, order off the menu.

The BEST sushi I have ever had in Georgia. Not only is the sushi here amazing, it’s incredibly affordable! Take the time to talk to the owners. Jus(woman up front) is absolutely a pleasure. She always comes by and talks to me about fashion and gives us free Sake. Try their deep fried sushi roll. It’s only $ 6 and it’s abosloutly delicious!
