Great Floors

We bought carpet and vinyl for our entire house last fall from Brenda, she was helpful, professional and extremely easy to work with. We love the flooring and the installers she set us up with. Even with a small problem or two during installation that were handled perfectly, the entire process was excellent from start to finish.

This is a two part review. 1) in store customer service 2) carpet installation
1) We quickly realized that this particular location had a lot of options and had a big «in stock» selection. My husband and I were able to see many different types of carpet and take a few samples home. I think the women who was helping us was Jennifer. I can’t really remember her name. But she was so helpful, very kind and answered all of our questions. I like her sales approach their were a few others who worked there who have strong personalities and I would not have liked to have been with someone who was bossy and just not friendly. I would reccomend looking at their selection and purchasing the type of floor you like from this location. We are so happy with our carpet! high quality and it looks so nice in our home.
2) We had major issues with the installation. It was such a shock to have such a great experience in the store and have a horrible experience once we purchased it. The good thing was that they were able to install it that same week which was nice– but we probably would have gone with another company if it was going to be this bad. They sub-​contract their installers. I did not like that the men that they sent to my home did not have a shirt, name tag or invoice to show that they were sent from Great Floors. I was home alone– for all i knew they were not who they said they were. And once they see that I am alone at home what’s to stop them from bringing other people and potientally steal from home or hurt me. I felt that my safety was at huge risk. I also did not like that one guy arrived later then the agreed time, was here for an hour and he left. 3 hours had gone by and I called asking if he was coming back. Then we were told he would be here soon and a different guy shows up. Again, nothing to prove to me that he was sent by Great Floors.
About an hour later or so the other guy that was here in the morning showed up. They both were nice but very unprofessional. They didn’t wear shoe sleeves, they were not careful about what they were tracking in. I mean, we just purchased brand new carpet!?! I don’t understand why they would’t protect their product and make sure that don’t ruin our new carpet.
Then they played their own very loud meriachi music– they did’t ask me if they could play it and it’s not like the home was vacant. I was working.
I offered them water bottles and they drank the water and left the bottles thrown on the ground.
And to top it off they did not vacuum the carpet to clean up the all the small loose pieces and they left all of their trash in my garage in one big pile.
When we called Great Floors they were very concerned and they claim to have taken action, however I truly felt that Great Floors should have taken more accountability for the fact they they obviously did not train or present their sub contractors with any guidelines or exceptions. The installation is a direct reflection on Great Floors.
Great Floors had the MOST expensive installation fee but we decided to go with this company because we had such a great experience purchasing the carpet.
They did not discount or offer anything to us other than «I’m Sorry” — and for the experience to be so badI felt that we should have gotten some money back. Very disappointed in the installation.
So really would give the «In store» experience a 4 – 5 star.
But the Installation –1 star because of the price, not professional, poor communication and just bad bad service. I would buy the floor and hire someone else to install it. But I rated it a 3 star on Unilocal

When the floor we wanted from another store went on backorder, we were under the gun to find a different option with a similar price point. We bought laminate floor from Jeremiah and couldn’t be happier!
Not only does Great Floors have an awesome selection, but their prices are great and unlike many competitors they can get the flooring FAST. We shopped many local stores and NOBODY had the same level of professionalism, expertise and integrity.
We were so happy with the laminate floor, we went back to them for carpet too. Steve hooked us up with a gorgeous nylon carpet and the installers were just as helpful and professional as the store staff.
