The rest of the «service» industries should come here for training! An ill pet created a minor emergency for us. At least a half dozen carpet cleaners could not possibly work same day. Jennifer at Servpro of Wheaton Kensington juggled the schedule to get a crew to us that day. Justin and his helper explained the options clearly, set to work, and exceeded our expectations. In a perfect world we will not need to call Servpro again. This is not a perfect world and someday we will need help with some household disaster. I will count on the great folks here when it that happens.

We really appreciated the prompt, courteous & helpful service (especially after getting none of the above from a certain insurance company that rhymes with Fate Harm…) From last weekend’s storm, we had water leakage into our basement from a window. We did what we could — pulling up carpeting & pads, setting up dehumidifiers and fans — before calling Servpro to check for any moisture in the walls & baseboards. Even though I told them it was a relatively small job, and they were very busy due to recent severe storms, they came the next day. Phil was great — got here right on time, told us we’d done everything right as far as remediation. He checked our walls & baseboards for moisture and, finding none, recommended only the application of an antimicrobial/​disinfectant (only $ 25 more than the cost of the housecall/​estimate). In an industry that deals with people who have experienced household disasters, and might not know what is really necessary, the pleasant and honest folks at Servpro are a breath of fresh air. I hope I never have need for water remediation services, but if I do, I’d call these guys in a minute.

I recently had sewage overflowing from my basement shower that contaminated the entire basement and part of the second level of my home. I called Servpro in the morning and a couple hours, they already had a team assembled and at my house to remove all the flooring and everything else that was impacted by this incident. Trish and her crew were amazing. Not only did they complete the job in a timely manner, but their expertise really shined with the way they were able to articulate the problem/​solution to me. Trish talked me through every part of the process and even called the insurance adjuster for me to make sure they would cover everything that they were about to do. Trish’s coordination with her team leading was executed tactfully and professionally. The owner and GM, Max and Phil, were empathetic to my situation and went above and beyond to help me as fast as possible. My overall experience was phenomenal. There are plenty of places closer to my location, but because of their friendliness, helpfullness and compassion, I will continue to choose and recommend them anytime! I can’t thank the whole team enough for their efforts!

My wife and I were very impressed with this particular ServPro from start to finish. I had some doubts at first because some ServPro franchises get only mediocre on-​line reviews. We found Max, the owner, and the crew he brought to be highly professional. They all seemed to know the remediation issue inside and out. And they were able to explain things in a way that made sense. Apparently, Max’s parents own another ServPro so his family has been in the business for a while.
They seemed extra careful about ensuring that the water damage to a couple of our walls would be completely contained and then removed. The industrial hygienist testing showed afterward that they had done their job well.
They responded quickly, patiently and effectively to the many questions we raised by phone, by email and in person. They were very flexible, working around our busy schedules. They offered helpful suggestions on how to deal with other contractors in the process. They seemed to be very careful about bringing mud or dirt into our condo. They told us exactly what they would do and at what cost and timing and then they seemed to do exactly what they promised.
I would highly recommend this company to anyone with water damage issues.

I called the Wheaton/​Kensington Servpro franchise as soon as we discovered water in our basement. A day later, after an inspector had come by to consult, we determined that the problem was limited to wet carpeting and that we didn’t have any other damage that needed fixing. So I called Servpro to cancel our appointment. They said they would waive the $ 175 estimation fee (which then goes toward the final bill if you end up hiring them) and do the estimate for free. Max, the franchise owner, then stopped by in person and not only took a look around but went to a lot of trouble cutting out an opening through the drywall in a closet at my request so that we could peer into some closed-​off space, which turned out to be completely dry.
Max concluded that we did not in fact need any damage control beyond the carpet drying we were already doing. He gave some good advice on external landscaping we could do to prevent the problem from recurring in the future. (Please note that Servpro does not do landscaping itself, so he had no stake in this matter.) And he left without charging me a penny!
It doesn’t get any better than that. Needless to say, we will turn to this Servpro franchise if we ever do need them. They have established their integrity in my eyes beyond any reasonable doubt.
