The first time I came in to see Ann, I asked for a balayage and it turned out to be an ombré. I was expecting the process to be long but it seemed rushed and my hair also looked green. She said it was the salon lighting and it would look different outside.
A year later, I decided to see Ann again and this time I brought my cousin for both of us to get a balayage. We spent 30 minutes asking questions, showing her pictures and looking at colors. I could tell she was annoyed but I wanted her to know EXACTLY what we wanted. I thought she should’ve charged me less since my hair was thinner and short than my cousins cause she had naturally curly, thick, black hair. Anyway, I liked the service a little more the second time around. She took her time with both of us and made sure the color was what we wanted. 2.5 hours later, we were very happy with how everything turned out but she messed up my hair my cut that I noticed after styling myself at home. I probably will see her again for a color but not for a cut.

I HIGHLY recommend going to Blossom! I came in without an appointment and the two ladies there were very friendly. I told her I wanted a balayage. Usually my black hair is very stubborn to going blonde but I was very surprised she managed to do one session! It took about 2 hours. Very fast service, friendly, & they play old cuts which was nice! Thanks for the amazing services! You will not be disappointed.

Blossom is AMAZING. They are fantastic about making last minute reservations. I came in my first time wanted to go from dark brown to blonde. I talked to the hair dresser (I think she is the owner) and said I wanted to lighten up my color, and that I was trying to grow my hair out. She worked with me, and helped me decide just to add highlights, so that I could keep growing my hair without too much damage.
I came in again a few months later for a trim and she remembered me! We chatted about how I was still growing out my hair, and she gave me an awesome trim to even out my layers and helped me avoid the dreaded «mullet phase» of growing out my hair.

Only use Unilocal to find places nearby to go out to eat or places to go in that certain area — never left a review before but this place was so awful I felt like I had to. I found this hair salon on here and really searched around to find a great place considering I have a lot to do with my hair and don’t want it to be messed up.
I made an appointment about a week in advance to get all over color done, from very old dyed black hair to bleach it out and get it to a honey blonde. I knew ahead of time it would be a long process, from bleaching it to get to a certain lightness to toning it to then dying it the color I wanted. I know it wasn’t gonna be an hour appointment.
When I got there, the girl that was supposedly going to do my hair automatically told me she couldn’t and wouldn’t do it, told me my hair was to dark to bleach (I mean really now?) I knew it wasn’t gonna go from black to blonde automatically. She just went on about how my hair was too dark (which it’s not, super faded black) and how it would destroy my hair (uh I know, I’m not an idiot) and to just come back once my hair grows all the way out! Like in 3 years! Are you serious? Kinda sad how I even know how to do what I want and had to tell her how she could do my hair… She then said we could do something other then blonde and I got up and left immediately, she can’t do a basic bleach job to not make it not so orange how can she do anything else?
There was also another women in there getting her hair colored and cut and she was fighting with the girl on how much she should cut off… Really? It doesn’t matter what the hair stylist wants its her job to give guidance on how her hair should look not just what she thinks is good and do it when the girl clearly didn’t want her to cut it that way, they need to start listening to what their costumers want!
Would never go back here for a million dollars. Awful attitudes and wish I asked to see their hair stylists license. They probably don’t even have them. Non-​professional and dis-​respectful would be 2 words to describe this disgrace of a hair salon.

Incredible! They cut your hair wet and then shape it after they dry it — makes a HUGE difference. Always friendly and the shop is busy, which is evident in the quality of their work and service. I have found a salon I can count on at a very reasonable price!
I don’t dye my hair — but have seen amazing results from their team on other patrons!

Peter was awesome! I was scared yo chop my hair off but I did. I’m so in love with my hair noy even having to style it! What’s even more awesome is he backed me up against my bratty 7 year old daughter. Her gait is healthy and to her butt and hr advised her to keep it for a couple note months so she can donate it! Awesome! Thanks for the new do!!! Now let’s win some power ball!!!

Blossom’s hair stylists did an amazing job on my hair. They take their time and really listen to what you want. I love my ombré color! I definitely recommend this salon.

Love this place! Came in here for a trim and he didn’t cut off too much. Price was reasonable and didn’t take long at all.

First time here, and found it through Unilocal.Ahn knows the coloring process. I have an ashe blonde ombré, and wanted to go even lighter. I know what I like, and do not like to be told to consider anything different. She did a good job explaining that with coloring, it can take multiple processes & visits. I wasn’t worried since I’ve had this ombré for almost a year. She’s great. To top off my whole experience was the shampooing, toning, and the head massage. Peter provides the best and the longest time spent I’ve ever experienced. You can tell this was his expertise. The time there took about 2hrs & $ 200.

So I’ve been thinking about cutting and dying my hair for awhile now. My hair has been it’s natural black for over a decade so I wanted to get an ombré but not too light (somewhere in the brown range). A family friend suggested I have his close friend take care of me. He said she’d been in the business for years and years, was a manager of several shops, etc. etc. Anyhow, he sold me on her not really knowing myself what she could do. So, I had her cut and color my hair at her house. She seemed like she knew what she was doing, she was using bleach to lighten my hair and then went back with some caramel brown and foil to «give me what I wanted». When she was done it seemed fine but actually her poor lighting tricked me. After getting home and washing my hair, I could see patches of dark spots and one side of my head had more color than the other, not to mention she cut my hair uneven
Blossom Hair Salon to the rescue! I called them to see if they could squeeze me in. Within an hour they had me in a chair. Peter did a wonderful job correcting the cut and thinning out my hair (it’s pretty thick). Janet started the color correction process by bringing my hair to a brown base. Anh worked on my ombré and Peter finished with toner and styling. The whole time they were super friendly and explained how they create an ombré look. I am so happy with what they did and how my hair looks now. I will definitely not be going to anyone else but Blossom ever again.

Awesome place. Got a haircut from both Peter and Ahn. Showed them some pictures of the cuts I liked and they knew exactly what I wanted. Peter also did a great scalp massage — it was relaxing. The salon is clean, nice ambiance, music playing, stylists listen to you and are open to offer recommendations, prices are very affordable.

I got the worst hack job at a Supercuts in a neighboring city. it was so bad I was almost in tears. I Unilocal searched nearby places and a lot were closed (Monday) so I drove 20 minutes out of my way to come here.
I need my hair fixed ASAP.
I got in immediately and explained what had happened. A very attractive and nice guy took care of me. he added tons of layers and gave me an appropriate yet adorable cut and I was immediately pleased.
Absolutely ¹⁰⁄₁₀ service. I gave a big tip and am definitely making this my go-​to salon!

Sooooo happy with how my hair turned out! Called in the morning on a Saturday and Ann said «Come now!» She’s so funny and welcoming. My husband found this gem in Kent and told me to check it out. I only write reviews when I really like something or to warn others of a bad experience so I hope this shows I really loved everything about this salon! I wanted to change my hair during the summer and Ann did a great consultation with me because I didn’t know what I wanted. She explained the difference between ombré and balayage and helped me make the decision about color. I will be back again and think I finally found my permanent hair salon! Such a great place in Kent with very reasonable prices unlike the overpriced salons in Seattle or Bellevue. Thanks Ann!

First time here, went off Unilocal reviews. Everyone was very friendly the moment I arrived for my apt. Had 3 different people work on my hair which I’ve never experienced but they all did great! Reasonably priced for a hair cut, style and color and they are really fast but it didn’t affect the quality, in and out in 2.5hrs! Oh and I got my scalp massaged for like 10 min during my wash! Coming here again in the near future!!! Everything was $ 73 + tip. Think I found my salon!

I called as soon as they opened today, and was able to get in right away. I spoke with Ann on the phone and told her what I needed. Her reply, «no problem, see you soon!»
As I arrived I was greeted by Ann and she had me waiting, wait… there was NO waiting.
I sat down immediately and we went over what I needed. I have gray hairs poking out like dandelions around my hairline so I told her I needed them colored. I also needed a haircut about half an inch all around and to clean up long bangs. We decided on a dark brown and she was off to mixing color and applying it to my roots. The technique is called frosting where it doesn’t touch your scalp. She used foil on every other touch up, it took Ann about 30 min. I sat for another good 45 — 60 minutes for the color to set. Shortly after another nice lady, Lynn washed my hair and WOW was it amazing! The wash, massage and care. I’d come back again just for that, that was another 15 min.
I sat in a chair while my hair dried for 10 minutes than Lynn started trimming my hair, evening layers. She than curled my hair to give it a nice natural body wave.
Walah! I was a new me! Relaxing, worth the $ 67. A hair trim $ 17, color for my gray roots $ 50, $ 10 tip!
I’ll be returning in 2 months for another color and trim! So happy to have found this place. Because of all YOU Unilocalers!

I love An, her and the staff are so nice! I’ve only been here three times, but haven’t came back since I’m experimenting with other stylists. She is always so welcoming, and always fits me into her schedule when needed. Most likely the sweetest hair stylist I’ve ever had, she offered to drive me home once because I got dropped off to get my hair colored. An is always offering me water and whatever food they have. The parking situation in this little plaza is horrible, and find myself driving around there for a while when packed. The prices are a little high for a college student, but she is phenomenal at doing colors! I’ve never had my haircut by her, but while sitting around waiting for the hair color to develop, I can see she does a wonderful job cutting hair as well. Would definitely recommend this salon if you have an open mind to spend on hair coloring.

My first time here I just got a haircut by one of the stylist and liked it. It was a lot cheaper than getting your hair cut in Seattle. I asked for a blunt cut, long layered medium hair length style and the stylist nailed it. I didn’t know I would be back here again after two months.
I’ve been contemplating getting a balayage or ombré for over a year now and just never had the courage to actually go through with it. I loved the texture of my hair and I knew it was going to be damaged after. So I did my research, asked around and eventually decided on Blossom.
I made an appointment a week prior, but had to change it to an earlier time. Ann, the owner, was nice enough to reschedule. I arrived at noon and waited about 10 minutes.
Ann was so friendly and understanding. Since it was my first time doing my hair in over 6 years, she warned me about how damaging the process is. She asked me for pictures and made sure that it was what I wanted several times. It’s pretty obvious that she has great customer service skills because there were a lot of returning clients. She knew all their names and asked for updates.
Before applying any bleach/​color, Ann cut my hair to frame my face better. She gave me a balayage ombré and painted my hair for an hour. Ann kept the conversation going and every now and then would ask me if I was okay with the process. After all the painting was done, I waited in the waiting area for an hour to let my hair lift and process.
When Ann washed my hair, she said she really liked how the color turned out but that even if she likes it, it only mattered if I liked it. I sat in the chair and didn’t notice any difference until she applied a blow dryer to it. The more it started to dry, the more obvious my hair color came out to be. It was really surreal and Ann assured that I would be ready for the change.
Overall, I ended up loving the way my hair turned out. It wasn’t brassy or warm toned, but a nice ashy, low maintenance blonde. At first I was really surprised that the price came out to be $ 200 because most balayage/​ombré processes are between $ 130-​$ 150. I didn’t mind dishing out extra money but wish I knew how much the underlying costs of cut/​style would be. Most freelance hair stylists include this process in a $ 150 price range so it caught me off guard. But I’m really happy with my hair and it was well worth the money. My experience at Blossom was great — comfortable and easygoing. Ann is such a hospitable owner and tries her best in achieving what you ask for. I would totally recommend her and the rest of the Blossom staff a visit for haircuts!

Ann is the best! Yesterday was my birthday and my sweet husband was taking me to see Miranda Lambert. After getting my nails done (see Soleil Nails & Spa), I popped in to see if she might have time to braid my hair. She sat me right down and with another hair stylist (she said she had more experience with braids as she braided her two daughters hair every day) they had my hair fixed nothing flat! She even curled the part left down! It was just exactly what I wanted it to look like!!!
Ann is the best, as are the other hair stylists that work with her.
I highly recommend Blossom. They are so professional, take time to get to know you, and remember you too!!! Very reasonable prices too.

I have never had my hair done at a salon before. This was my first time having my hair dyed at a salon. They cut, colored, and did a partial foil for $ 130. The price is really amazing. They did a wonderful job on my hair.
Before doing anything, she doubled checked and confirmed if what she was about to do was what I had really wanted instead of listening to me say it once then just go with it. They actually cut my hair the length I wanted and not too short.
