PGP Motorsports Park is a unique and exceedingly exciting activity unlike anything you have done before. PGP is a purpose built outdoor Karting facility, able to offer an experience vastly superior to indoor karting you may have tried. Voted the Best of the Northwest 3 years in a row, we operate our fleet of Italian racing karts year around and we run both in the rain and shine. PGP can offer you 50 MPH approximate top speed, multiple track configurations up to 9⁄10 of a mile in track length, 30 foot wide circuit and nothing enclosing the track, 14 turns, asphalt that has been purposely formulated for this use with excessive drainage for our northwest weather.

History

Established in 2009.

PGP Motorsports Park remains a family run business and has one of the most unique settings in all of North America. The 22-​acre site had 1.6 million cubic yards of dirt removed from it and what was created was a natural velodrome with unprecedented spectator viewing. There is no one part of the circuit that cannot be seen and the overhead view allows spectators to see all the inside-​out action in the corners. Much better visibility than your typical «on-​plane» views at most other tracks.

With the majestic Mount Rainier as the backdrop, PGP Motorsports Park is a 9⁄10th mile asphalt track with a main straight approaching 800 feet in length and 30 feet in width. With up to 15 turns, the layout is designed so that horsepower can be an advantage at the South end; longer straights and hard braking corners allowing for maximum passing zones. But the North end is very technical rewarding the pilots with the best driving skills.

Business Owner

The Zalud family has been involved in motorsports their entire lives. Paul began working in motorsports at the age of 15 and continued at various motorcycle shops. In 1994 he purchased a motorcycle engine, imported a chassis from Italy and built a race kart. Evening racing in local parking lots with friends led to the Zalud’s organizing a west coast race series. He then owned Stars of Karting, the top level national kart series. Traveling from track to track, Zalud was determined to someday build his own. After 10+ years of planning, permits and persistence, the Zalud’s fulfilled their passion for the sport in 2009 when they opened their world-​class PGP Motorsports Park.

Their commitment to providing their customers a true one-​of-​a-​kind racing experience at their phenomenal track, is unsurpassed. I really like this place. I have ordered a group session but I am uncertain how many would come. PGP allow me to book it as 10 people then pay later as people comes. Excellent stuffs. They keeps everything on time and tight. So we are not wasting time in line or waiting. They are also very helpful. I have got out track several times and hit other cars due to my ‘bad’ drive skills. But they are good with it, not even pointing a black flag with me.
P. S. Far more better than any kcart or virtual sports place I have seen.

Was lucky enough to experience this venue last weekend with a group of 6. I’ve been karting at indoor tracks before but this place is on their own level. Carts are very nicely built. They felt solid and safe even going 45+ mph! The venue is clean, the staff was attentive and very helpful, and the prices were on point in my opinion. You will pay a bit more here compared to a local indoor spot but it’s well worth it. I felt it was worth the extra cost to be outside on a sweet track with great corners, some banked, and that next level race experience you can’t get indoors. I was part of a group of six and they were able to get us through each race promptly along with other groups. If you’re looking for a rad next level racing experience you won’t be disappointed!

Race day! #rainorshine very cool! You see people spinning in the rain which is quite fun to watch lol but nonetheless a great sport to do with your homies. On race days, they give out trophies and it’s legit.

Open rain or shine, I had a blast racing on this outdoor go-​kart track after a huge thunderstorm. The go-​karts go up to 50 mph, and there are a lot of fun turns. I had a couple of spin-​outs in the wet, but it was easy to get back on course. They also have a guy on a tractor driving around, ready to pull you out if you get into any trouble.
The staff is friendly and professional, and our party had the benefit of having the entire track to ourselves. It was affordable, at a rate of $ 35 for a single ~15 minute race.
Feel free to bring and use your own DOT full face helmet and gloves (optional). Also, don’t forget to pick up your race sheet at the end of the session, so that you can check out your lap times.

Love coming here track is big and fun to drive. Go-​karting should be done outside to get the full experience. Definitely looking forward to coming back soon. I highly recommend this place for birthdays or company events.

Enthusiast or not this business is well run. I happen to want to race anything I can get my hands on, including road racing, NASCAR racing experiences, off road high performance challenges, etc. This track has all the elements needed for an enthusiast like me. Ask for advice and you’ll get it from very active and considerate staff. Don’t be shy. I will always be happy leaving my money here because it is a great value!

My buddy and I decided to take the day off and find a go kart place. Most of the indoor places I called were between $ 12 – 19 per race, with races lasting about 8 – 10 minutes or so.
Before I booked, I decided to check Unilocal,and I’m glad I did. I noticed that most other places got 3 or 3.5 stars, while PGP got 4.5. I was surprised to find out that it cost about 40% more than the nearest competitor. You get what you pay for eh?
The race is a bit longer at 15 minutes, but the real joy is the course. It’s nearly a mile long and totally outdoors. The karts are also the fastest at 50MPH.
I can’t wait to go back. My first race I placed around 68% and 80% in my second. Loved every minute of it and totally worth the 30 mile drive from West Seattle.

I really love this race track for karting. Its alot of fun, super fast karts and you really feel the road since its outdoor. The staff are incredibly nice and friendly. My husband lost our keys on the track and they spend alot of time looking for them. My dog was locked in the car (windows cracked open) and one of the main staff members came running out with water for my pup. Super sweet! Overall its a very well run organization and I would highly recommend PGP :)

I had been to a couple of go karting places before this and my experience was meh. But today I, my husband and and a couple friends went to PGP. All of us had a really great time. Since it was a cloudy Sunday afternoon, we had the entire track to ourselves. Although I was just trying to stay on track for most part, we all had great fun!
Each and every person on the staff were great to talk to, very encouraging and friendly.
We would love to go again, and with more friends next time around. 4÷6÷2014

This is obviously the best karting track in Washington. I have been to many other tracks including the go kart track at Indianapolis, and personally I find this track to be more of a challenge and more fun. The karts are fantastic, and the track is always a new challenge with the weather changing and several different layouts along with the challenge of different drivers to overtake.
I’ve been a member (highly recommended– saves money if you go 5 or more times in a year) for two years now, so of course my review will be the full five stars. This review however is more aimed at doing a group rental:
I recently had an opportunity to get a group of buddies together to have a gridded start and race head to head. The front front runners of our group raced hard for the top podium spot while overtaking and lapping the slower members of our group.
This was a great experience for everyone in my group and I highly recommending it. The usual price is $ 60 per person and it comes with two sessions: Practice, and final race. It really is one of the best deals at PGP or any go kart track. It allows seasoned drivers a chance to get more track time and also gives non-​racers and friends an opportunity to try out a more serious version of karting with only their friends around them on track.
I also have to mention the staff: as always they are some of the best in any business. They want to help their customers get better, and they also want everyone to have fun. You can drive to your limit out here because the staff understands drivers make honest mistakes and they will do their best to help drivers who have gone off track get going again. Can’t really say enough good things about the staff at PGP! They really enhance the experience both on and off the track.
Bottom line: if you’re deciding which go kart track to go to with a group of friends for a quick session or group rental, remember that PGP ranks at the top with what’s important: an excellent track design, precise go karts, and excellent customer service from each and every staff member at PGP which all equates to a fun, authentic and challenging experience.

This is a very fun race track and a fun activity to do. It is outdoor and unlike the indoor tracks where overtaking is impossible, here overtaking is possible. The track itself is fun and reasonably challenging.
It costs 35 $ for the first fifteen minute session and 25 $ for subsequent sessions (unless you are a member — 50 $ fee and all sessions cost 25 $).
It is open even in the rain (which I haven’t tried and would be fun).
The carts do move along at a nice clip though personally I thought that the brakes weren’t that good (but hey, I’m not an expert and it could have just been my luck on that day with that cart).
Overall, a fun experience.

PGP Is the absolute best place to race in the Seattle area. The staff is super nice, the track is amazing and always different, the karts are consistent and fast. There is always someone there to race against, but it’s never over crowded like some of the indoor places. They also have really fun events on the weekends like endurance races and leagues.
Go racing here, you will NOT regret it.

PGP is by far the best track around the Seattle area! The staff are really good with people of all skill level. The track is very nice and when the full length is open it makes for some great racing! I love going down to beat up on friends and family. They run groupon deals which is an excellent deal. They have good karts and they are plenty fast for the track. If you want to have a blast of fun take a trip down to PGP and you will really be glad because it is worth the trip! Thanks PGP for always showing us a great time. You all ROCK! Highly recommend this place and they say it’s even more fun in wet times, looks like I will have to try it out!

Been here several times now. This is the only true go karting experience I’ve found in the Seattle area. Doesn’t compare against the indoor tracks — this is far superior. With that being said it requires some skill and endurance to really push it and win.
I’ve done a birthday party here — normal sessions and a race day Saturday with warm up, qualifying and race. All have been very intense and fun. They don’t keep you off the track if its raining which offers a real challenge. They thankfully have rain gear so don’t think if its raining it will be a bad day at the track.
I highly recommend PGP to anyone who wants a real go karting experience. An outdoor track that is long and karts that go about 50 MPH — pretty much perfection.

The best track and go-​karting experience in Washington State. Rain or shine I always have a fantastic time here.
If you’re waiting for a time to try it out, watch their website for the «Rental Go-​Kart Racing League». These usually happen on a Saturday and for around $ 100 you get a ridiculous amount of time in the kart. If you’re not used to it, you *will* be sore the next day.

I’ve been to PGP several times and have had a great time every time.
The carts are 5hp, with a single brake caliper on the rear axle and hard compound tires. So, once you get going you have to actually use some skill to maintain control and get a decent time.
The hard compound tires on the wet track makes for a very slippery ride. I attended a wet track clinic and found this out first hand.
A day license is $ 10 and a round of laps is $ 25. Things add up quick, but you’ll have a great time especially if you go with a group of friends.
I noticed that several people complain about their forearms and ribs ending up really sore after a few laps. Make sure to get foam padding if you need it, and relax that strangle hold on the steering wheel — problems solved.
I’ve also been able to run some laps around Pacific Raceways. All around this is a fun day in the park.

Very fun track layout with good combination of fast and slow turns. The karts are fast, very grippy given the outdoor tarmac, and very well maintained (which is hard to find in rentals).
Would definitely come here again. The prices are similar to indoor rental kart places closer to Seattle, but this track is way more fun, way faster, and more challenging. If only they were closer to town!

Go-​Karts are always fun but I have to give this place a 2 star. The reason for this is because of the gear they issue you. The helmets smelled really bad. The smell was just unbearable that I had to get a refund. My suggestion for anyone who goes here is to bring their own helmet if they have one.
As for the staff, they seem alright. One of the staff there drove the ATV like a mad man where part of the wheels came off the ground on a turn.
It’s about $ 30 for maybe a 10 – 15 minute ride.

Finally made it out to this place on Saturday with some friends.
They apparently close off the north side of the track on the weekends cuz too many folks can’t make the first turn and just pile up. Wknd configuration is still pretty good, lots of curves/​sharp turns.
I wish these carts had transmissions — my fat self couldn’t keep up with them little kids blowing by me — that kart just didn’t have enough guts to get my fatass back up to speed after the corners! HAHA!
It really is a blast — would love to try this in the rain!

WOW!
This was the second part of the karting double header my bro and I did this day. This track is HUGE, with gas powered karts, we were on the standards. These karts rocked! It was a perfect sunny spring day, the karts want to drift though the corners if your on the gas. It’s not the fastest way around the track but sure is fun. The first place we went was K1 in Redmond which is awesome too, but this track is more on the advanced side.
