This business has a long history of quoting one service price and then charging another. I have had so many instances where I pressed the office staff to give me the charge for a service before I have it done. Then I get billed for a huge amount. At first I learned it was a matter of Dr. Kim employing an incompetent receptionist/billing clerk who didn’t know what she was doing and quoted prices for services without checking insurance.(All medical/dental offices check insurance coverage before quoting prices prior to providing services). Then the roof fell in and Dr. Kim realized he had an unqualified employee. After all of that, I just recently had a procedure done and AGAIN I was sent a bill for an additional $ 100+ because his current clerks, who are Dr. Kim’s direct agents in billing matters, didn’t give me an accurate quote from my insurance benefits. I advise people to steer clear of this dental office. What you are told you’re going to be charged isn’t reliable. I went to this office long before Dr. Kim arrived. His practices are either wildly incompetent or deviously greedy.

I would like to update about the OVERCHARGE that Doctor’s Kim office billed me. Finally after almost 9 months and the communication mostly with Delta Dental, they backed me up and I won this judgement. Yesterday 3-3-2015 I received a check from Dr Kim $ 145 without a word from them. I spent a lot of time to CORRECT their wrong billing, they owe me(as a client) an apology for their mistake and their insistence in collecting the charge triggered my curiosity so I found the discrepancy. Then I went a step further to double check my former Dentist’s billings, I found right away that the numbers didn’t add up. I wrote, the billing clerk defended herself. The Dentist did the math herself over the weekend and called me to thank me for my time and promised a refund. She also told me someone else will review ALL the CUSTOMERS’ billing and will correct any finding. Later I learned that the Clerk was no longer worked there. I don’t feel bad since she has a chance to Right the Wrong but she denied it herself. Again this has nothing to do with Dr Kim’s performance, he’s an honest man no question about it. But as human being we’re prompted to err and the correction should be straight forward the same way they COLLECT our money. Like it or not we have no choice but to correct it as soon as possible. I don’t need an apology from them. I want them to be more careful in billing their customers. Wished they said so.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kim for at least 15 years or so. Honest, caring and professional. My entire family gets their dental care from him. I came to him for a second opinion on a treatment plan and I really appreciated his conservative, economically practical yet healthy, of course, approach! He was not out to just make money. Like I said, honest and caring with his patients.

I HATE going to the dentist, but I’ve always had great experiences here, and would highly recommend them — especially for patients who are scared of going to the dentist. they’re gentle, and kind!
