Fortunately for a midwestern reject like me, you don’t have to go far from Seattle to get two things: amazing wilderness, and actual real, beautiful, well-created diner food. I’ve been to a lot of the places Seattle proper calls«diner» and most of them are in one of two categories: Health Hazards the Law Forgot, or Hipster Re-Engineered Foodie Showcases. In one you ask for a burger and you get rabies. In the other you ask for a burger and you get some hand-crafted God-knows-what non-meat slathering of Whole Foods garnish on a f***ing Brioche Bun. But just a short drive _out_of that wilderland, you’ll find civilization again. You know what i had for the special yesterday at Yukon Grill? The«insanity dog.» That’s right. They wrapped an _all beef_hot dog in a layer of bacon and fried it. Whole. Just fried the whole g**d**n thing. And because they are not f*****g around, they«garnished» this gift to humanity by putting it on a layer of onion bun, and covering the whole d**n thing with french fries, chilli, and cheese sauce. It’s like they actually want you to moan in pleasure while you eat their food, instead of thinking, «this will be great for my jog later, after i do some stomach crunches.» F**k that noise. They make FOOD here. And it takes AMAZING. If you want some PCC snack-pack bullcrap, stick to any hovel open till 4:30PM in the Emerald City proper. But if you want food that will fill a hole in your heart as well as your stomach, get to Kent, WA, and visit the Yukon.

The 5 stars is for the fantastic staff, Stephanie is great and makes everyone smile, the rest of the staff is great too. The food is solid and portions are good. I was traveling for work and was working down the street and since it was close decided to give it a try and am glad I did, ate here 3 days in a row.

A small burger place. My husband had the Fish n Chips and enjoyed it. I had the veggie burger and it was one of the best I’ve had eating out. Very thick and delicious. Also the fries are super good and it was just $ 20 for both of us! It hides a bit in a business park strip but seek it out and you won’t be disappointed.

YUM !! Today I had one of the best Cuban sandwiches I’ve ever had. This place is popular and can get pretty busy, so I called my order in ahead of time. If you’re in Kent and want a delish lunch, this is the place! Very reasonable priced too :)

Great lunches. Call in advance for noonish orders, because this place gets busy, and for good reason. I typically order the burger special, as it’s a quarter-pounder, because the regular burger is bigger than that! Lunch specials in general are great, they have a few breakfast items for the brunchers(although they don’t open till 10:30) and my friends tell me the coffee is excellent. Good selection of healthy and alternative dining options as well. It’s small and you might not see it from the road, but it’s great.

Nice place. Great food and the service is phenomenal. Stopped by for lunch at 12:30P. Although the place was packed, the line moved along quite quickly for ordering. Once the orders were in and we found a place to sit, we were served our meals still hot and freshly off the grill. And the meals arrived as ordered. Yay! Not always the case on the area. This is a great place for lunch and will be back again.

I decided to go to Yukon after reading wonderful reviews. It’s a very warm, and welcoming location. I don’t remember the young lady’s name who was helping me but she was very friendly, funny, and made sure my order came quickly. I ordered the Cuban sandwich, clam chowder, and espresso. The sandwich is huge! Definitely worth the money as it also comes with a side. It literally is like heaven. Best Cuban sandwich I’ve ever had! The location is also very easy to get to with plenty of parking. I will absolutely come back to Yukon. Thanks for the wonderful meal and great service!

I’ve been here twice now. Both times I was pleased i stopped in. The first trip I had the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes that were on special. It’s rare to find a place in western washington that makes a good CFS. In this case, the steak was breaded well, tender, and seasoned well. The mashed potatoes were just the right density and also well-seasoned. The gravy was perfect.(A white cream gravy with pepper in it. No sausage.) The second trip I had the four cheese grilled cheese with roast beef and fries. The fries were good. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Medium cut. The sandwich was also very well made. The roast beef was tender and lightly seasoned, the cheeses were tasty and melty, and the bread was grilled just right. This is a order and pay at the counter, receive a number, and food is brought to you kind of joint. They always have some interesting specials daily. The people are very pleasant. All in all, service is quick. The food is good. and each time I got out the door for around $ 11 with a soda.

Walked in to what looks like a office building to a open sitting café setting. Ordered my food and sat down next to my co-workers. Food came quick, I ordered the Cuban sandwich special that came with a side and I ordered the creamy tomato. Sandwich was very good with a good mix of pork pickles and mustard. Tomato soup was some of the best I have ever eaten. YUM

Great service whether dine in or take out, and the food is great. My go to is the Philly cheesesteak, but I always get a side of their au jus to dip in. It’s heaven! The menu has something for just about everyone, and outdoor seating during the summer is also a plus!

My colleagues and I revisited this place on our typical business trip to the area. Again, not disappointed and the staff and food were well above average. The employees are always so friendly, quick, and efficient. Their kitchen staff rocks the house all day, everyday, because the food seems to get better every time I eat here. Yukon Grill is always a must for us when we visit on business and never disappoints!

Meh, the sandwich was decent, the clam chowder was not good(rather have canned). Don’t think I’ll eat her again, the service was great but I realized after my first bite I could do just as well going to Safeway for half the price.

I work around the corner from Yukon Grill and have been going here maybe once a week for the past 6 months or so. The staff is pretty friendly. The menu has a ton of items on it, from burgers, fish & chips to deli style sandwiches.(I mean they really have way to much) This place is in an odd location, tucked in a business complex between office buildings. If you didn’t know it was there, you would pass it by. They are only open for lunch, I think from 10:00am to 3:00pm. The place is pretty clean, and looks like the owner is possibly the cook(not positive on this though) just looks that way to me. For a lunch spot, the portions are very large for almost everything I have tried so be prepared to be full when you leave. I tend to order the«Mt. McKinley» burger $ 11.99 for whatever reason and the thing is huge. Its decent in flavor, but for the price I can sit down at Claim Jumper and get the Widow Maker and it is considerably better. Everything is made to order so be prepared to wait about 10 minutes for your food. Also! this place ALWAYS has a line, I mean always. Its not terrible to wait in, but if you are in a rush, this could be a deal breaker for you. Honestly, the food is pretty average for a lunch spot… Expect to pay sit-down restaurant prices for deli food here. Especially if you order off the plethora of items on the wall menu. If you expect to pay«lunch style pricing» order off the specials menu, you will find it on a white board when you walk in the front door.

Yes! Great quality of ingredients, staff is super friendly. The ‘Russell Wilson’ burger for $ 6.99 is the best burger for the money anywhere in town, including Seattle too!\ The only micro annoyance I have is that they always ask if I can pay in cash, and I always say no. After about 90 trips to the counter, saying I only have card, they still ask if I have cash. I told them once«I will never pay you in cash» and they still ask if I have cash. Almost comical at this point, I wish they’d stop asking.

I’vve come here a few times while on business trips. The food is good, lots of selection, huge portions and they are fast considering the quality of food. FYI, they only have one register than can take credit cards, so you can short cut the line quite a bit if you have cash.

Yukon Grill is a great lunch place during the work week. It is located just a few blocks from my work so it is an easy lunch option. It gets pretty busy between 12pm-2pm so keep that in mind if you are going with a group. You can also call in your order as well. In the spring/summer they open up the side door and have seating outside which is nice. They have really good salads, clam chowder and I’ve tried a couple of the sandwiches that I have liked as well. The food has always been good quality and the price is good too. The staff is super friendly and even when they are busy the service has been great!

A serious in your face five star review. Looks are deceiving apparently. And cockiness was brought to a whole nother level. Weekday lunch. Noon on the dot. Friday. Middle of a business park. Those few words would put a professional guy or gal into a panic attack. And yes… it was busy here at the Yukon Grill, but the flow was moving along. All employees assigned to certain a spot, all amazingly fast and all genuinely happy that they were doing a good job and wanting to please. Btw it’s an order at the register, they give you a number for your table, and they bring you your food type of restaurant/deli. At one point my husband stopped a server and told her the food was delicious, she turned to him and said«I know». And smiled. Enough said!!! They serve your regular soups, sandwiches, drinks, coffee, plus added goodness like fish and chips, burgers and what not. But wait… can I just ask… what the heck do they do in that small lil kitchen of theirs that gold comes pouring out of the serving window!!! The simple clam chowder… to DIE for!!! Fishn chips… YUM! Sandwiches??? NOT your normal blah sandwich. I can’t glorify my reasonings as to why everything is do damn tasty here… as I have NO idea… maybe they sprinkle the food with«we know we are better then the others but you won’t know that until you try us and then BAM! Your all ours!!!»??? I really just don’t know… Whatever the case… we will be back and back and back some more. :)

This is one of my favorite lunch hour spots for a number of reasons. Food: I’ve had several sandwiches, but my favorite is the Alaskan with au jus. All of their sandwiches have been absolutely bursting with flavor! The sandwiches on sourdough do sometimes get a little soggy, but then I’m dipping anyway. But the flavors are amazing. Service: if there’s a line to the door, don’t let it put you off. They have some of the fastest most courteous service I’ve had anywhere. Even when crowded, I’m easily done within my lunch hour. Atmosphere: kind of plain jane but it works well. They do have nice outdoor seating with umbrella tables so it’s very pleasant even on a sunny day. They also have a larger back room that I’m assuming is used for groups or overflow. Bottom line, this is truly one of those hole-in-the-wall gems that is a delight to find!
