Hawthorne at the Grove

Moving to Hawthorne at the Grove in Kernersville has improved my quality of life! The location itself has made my commute to downtown Winston so much easier (verses Clemmons) and now I’m much closer to options in Greensboro. I love that my apartment has granite in the kitchen and bathrooms, wood floors, plantation blinds, gorgeous cabinets, real paint colors, a full size laundry room, built in desk /​office space, and spacious rooms. I lived in a home for years so I actually have real furniture that can make apartment searches challenging at times (fitting a full dinette, china cabinet, oversized couch, piano, etc.). The Grove’s apartments are spacious and my unit feels more like a condo than an apartment.
The Grove is like coming home to a 5 star resort. I actually canceled my gym membership because their facility was better! I love having 2 barbecue stations in walking distance to my apartment furnished with fireplaces, TVs, barstools, etc. There is so much room, multiple families can be using amenities without being on top of one another. The pool makes you feel like you’re in a Caribbean resort with cabanas, fountains, and luxurious lounge chairs with cushions. I don’t have a dog, but there are several large dog parks available.
The real selling feature is the staff! From office to maintenance, the staff is outstanding. They go above and beyond your expectations, and they are extremely friendly. Amenities and luxuries quickly loose value when you don’t have a staff that takes care of things. This management is fantastic (thank you Zina and Brit).

We have only lived here for a month, but so far we LOVE our apartment! The apartment finish is high end, from the 9ft ceilings, all white wood doors/​cabinets (some have a darker/​grey finish), granite counters, wood/​tile floorings, full size washer and dryer (with no additional charge) and plenty of space!
The community is really quiet, has an amazing ²⁴⁄₇ gym (not just a couple of treadmills, but lots of higher end cardio and weight equipment), ²⁴⁄₇ business center with access to both PC and Mac, and an awesome looking pool and grill area. It’s been a little chilly for the pool but we’re really looking forward to the summer. The staff have also been amazing and make moving a super simple process.
Our only apprehension about moving here was the unfinished nature of the complex (it’s still under construction at the back end) but now as a resident we really don’t notice the construction. It’s never loud and the place is kept very clean!

So far… So GREAT! I have loved everything since the day I stepped in the front doors. The grove staff was extremely polite and spent plenty of time showing me the property. I came with my family and she was more than willing to show us multiple floor plans and take our time until we found the unit we wanted. We decided to move in shortly after due to the awesome move in specials! No extra fees for parking, trash removal, maintenance, etc.
We live in the 1 bedroom now (two of us) and it is beautiful! It’s always exciting to be the first one to live in your apartment (since they are new) and it really feels like a luxury home/​condo. Granite counter tops, brand new appliances, plenty of space (900sq. Feet) and custom touches. Our one bedroom came with a HUGE garden tub with plenty of room to bathe and relax (with a curved shower rod too!)
Plenty of paved paths in front, behind and around the buildings and amenities makes it easy to walk my dog too! Handfuls of pet stations make it easy to clean after mypup as well.
Haven’t had a chance to use the pool but it is truly beautiful. Now, the gym is honestly an adult haven with practically anything anyone could want when it comes to equipment. I’ve never seen a gym with more goodies in it. 24 hour usage with key fob.
Cable and Internet is through time warner and the property rep has been great helping us set up.
Gated community with fobs to enter and alarms in every apartment.
Parking is open and we haven’t had an issue parking in front of our building yet.
Our mail boxes are located in our covered building walk way which makes it super convenient to check each day after work.
Needless to say, my experience at Hawthorne at the grove has been stellar and I am so happy I have decided to live here! We were a little unsure about the prices but it is absolutely worth every penny in the quality service and comfort. It truly feels like home!
