Pilates is a method of movement that incorporates strength, flexibility, postural work with coordinated breathing. It is a workout from the «inside out» that strengthens the deep intrinsic core of the body through low-​impact full body integration which increases body awareness, clears the mind and brings muscular balance to the body.

History

Established in 2012.

Born in the bonus room of my home, after two and a half years of building a client base and working to build a community of Pilates devotees, we open an intimate studio in Kernersville, NC.

Claire V.

Business Owner

A dedicated student turned instructor, Claire worked to earn her comprehensive certification through Balanced Body. Passionate about Pilates because of the positive changes it made in her own life, she continues to be addicted to continuing education. She has completed focused studies and certifications on Movement and Menopause, as well as Pilates for Multiple Sclerosis and other Neurological Conditions. In addition, Claire has studied practical release work, and the connections between neuroscience & exercise.

Claire has trained under Jennifer Gianni from Fusion Pilates in Asheville, NC, Melissa Kakavas at Evolve Movement in Raleigh, NC, and Mariska Breland at Fuse Pilates in Washington, DC. She has also attended specialized workshops with first generation pilates elder, Mary Bowen, who was trained by Joseph and Clara Pilates.

Claire is happily married with two boys, ages 9 & 7. She also has three dogs.
