Established in 1985.
The owner, Char Hinkley, started painting wall murals in 1985 and gradually added other services to her business: faux finishing, decorative painting, borders, personalized wall art, ceiling murals and Trompe l’oeil.

Char has lived in the Dayton Ohio area since 1976 and started painting at a young age. Char began painting on clothing and then moved onto painting murals in 1985. That’s also when she started her business, Murals By Char.
