Been an HCM member for 15 years first in Manhattan and for the last several years in Kew Gardens. What can I say? Bigger is NOT always better. They make you feel welcomed and appreciated. I have never questioned their integrity, sincerity or their kindness. From the manager, Fernan, to the consultant Ana-Maria to the to the receptionist, Ada, and my stylist, Ana Z, they’re an AMAZING team. Over the years I don’t know how many stylists I’ve had but Ana and I have developed the best collaborative relationship bar none. We have probably advanced the styling and maintenance of my systems more than all the others combined. She has to be as smart as they come.

Good bedside manner– but only on the surface. Originally I went to hair club to schedule a hair transplant. Representatives convinced me to undergo a year of topical treatment, as they claimed I should try this before resorting to surgery. They claimed the cost of topical therapies would transfer over if I was not satisfied with the amount of hair that grew. A «guarantee of satisfaction». After several treatments my visible hairline seemed to continue to thin. They used a microscope to show that baby hairs were growing and said they would fill in as treatment continued. They never did– it seems that my regular hair was replaced with hair invisible to the naked eye. At this point the story changed– topical therapy was now to «keep the hair i already had». Pictures under a microscope were the only results. This was 100% NOT the reason i went there or the claim that was made when i signed their contract. I inquired about the price for a transplant and they said grafts would cost $ 12 if I used the guarantee of satisfaction or $ 7 without– essentially meaning that this guarantee was a complete scam and the price would be jacked up if I tried to have them honor their«guarantee». They also said I would have to pay another $ 2800 for another year of therapy along with the transplant, something that was not presented at an additional cost during the initial consultation. Bosley, the company they are affiliated with for transplants, quoted the cost per graft at $ 4.75. Completely unbelievable. I have scheduled an appointment with bosley to see if this guarantee exists or not and will post another follow up review after my next appointment– just in case they actually follow through on not making this entire interaction more expensive due to ineffective therapy. Ultimately, if you want hair, seek a transplant– don’t waste you time, money and effort here. Please don’t allow smiles to convince you otherwise. They will convince you to pay exorbitant fees for useless services rather than what you are really looking for– all with guarantees and promises that should not be unrealistic for them to honor. They tried to pass off that they were following through but the entire thing was transparent. At the end of my year of treatment I left my phone number and a note requesting follow up from the representative who they claimed was not available to speak to me. It has been three weeks now and I never heard back. Sheisty!
