Aunt Daisy’s B&B is one of the best. We’ve stayed several times over the last few years and enjoyed it every time. The owners are just outstanding and very accommodating. Rooms are clean and comfortable with plenty of amenities. Breakfast was great.

I really enjoyed my stay at Aunt Daisy’s. I LOVED my room — I was in the Royal Suite — the purple room and it couldn’t have been more perfect. I slept very well in that King bed and had a wonderful bath in the clawfoot tub and enjoyed all the little extras that they provided. My only complaints were that there didn’t seem to be hot water — it was sort of just warm — and I like to have hot hot showers and baths and that the breakfast was a little disappointing. The omelette was really good and fresh and so was the fruit with yogurt but the other sides seemed not to be prepared home made. It wasn’t that anything was bad — just not what I expected at a B & B. The house is a little cluttered but that’s part of the charm of B & B’s — each one is unique and you never know what to expect — and I enjoyed looking at everything but it almost overwhelms the beautiful original woodwork and stained glass windows — truly gorgeous! The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and eager to chat about the local area and places to eat and whatnot.

We went a bit out of our way to stay at Aunt Daisy’s on our bicycle trip from St. Louis to Chicago. Oh, are we glad we did! We received a welcome as warm as any of our own aunts could or would have given us, including an offer to put our heat-&-humidity-drenched clothes outside our room so innkeeper Michelle could pop them in the washer and dryer. We’ve stayed at over 100 B&Bs all over the country, and this one is one of the very best. The building looks a bit plain from the street but is full of amazing woodwork and stained glass inside. Our room was spacious, well laid out, and immaculately clean. The bed was so comfortable we had one of the best rests so far this trip. Breakfast was so wonderful we took a photo for our travel blog. We had mentioned the night before how hard it was to find good fresh vegetables at restaurants and cafes in the Midwest. Well, we had a zucchini, spinach and cheese omelet and a grilled tomato with goat cheese, plus lgrilled apple slices lightly dusted with cinnamon sugar, all from of course fresh ingredients. Wow! We strongly urge cyclists to check this place out. In fact, go way out of your way for this one. It’s 2 blocks from an OK restaurant and just under 15 miles from the north end of the Rock Island Bike Trail, a good rail trail to or from Peoria. You’ll find friendly, helpful hosts in Michelle & Glen, and have a stay worth writing about.

Aunt Daisys bed and breakfast is amazing! Wonderful rooms, the best linens, great food and the nicest hosts one could have. I stay here often and they treat me like family! is the website for them.
